❓Question = What do you wish you could tell employers about Autism? What do you wish could change in the whole "get a job" system?

I loved this. First time I've seen what my strong points are in a job setting. Thank you!

Thank you for watching! I did a lot of research for that part. I also didn't know we had much to offer, and seeing all of it, it started to make sense in my head.

The process of applying for workplace accommodations is very paperwork intensive and it takes a long time.

Some places are faster at processing work accommodations (at social enterprises). Outside of that, getting workplace accommodations Is like pulling teeth.

Because they always expect extra treatment. They want everyone to be considerate of their excessive needs. It is also very likely that a good portion of them are simply lazy and are happy if they can scrounge through life on the backs of others without having to work. They are often terrible people!

Crazy thought guy, handicapped people need help with their handicaps? Maybe practice some decent human empathy? If someone in a wheelchair cant go into stores well, what do they do? Install a ramp. We dont call them horrible people who are lazy because they cant work well do we?
No. No we dont. These peoples lives are hard enough without people like you taking it personally. Generalizing a hugely gross amount of people into that little box because your experience is gospel. Stop. Do better.
