Hello Sajal, I have completed one Quality Assurance course this month. I am going to do Supply Chain Course in Georgian College, Toronto in Fall 2023. I have a four months break in between. How can I gain some experience as an entry level dispatcher or a logistics coordinator job at the break time or should I look for something else?
I have three years of experience in automotive industry as a testing engineer but I want to move to supply chain industry in transportation side.

      Sat Shri Akal Jasmeet ji,
First of all, congratulations that you will be coming to Canada soon and I think the course that you are doing is sufficient to get an initial job in the supply chain. After you get in then do certifications and other stuff that would be great.
Or if you can study some extra stuff or be able to do certifications during your regular college study, that will be a bonus, but it will be up to you how you manage and allocate your time. Lastly, make connections and network through LinkedIn or other social networks that will help you for the full-time jobs.
      I hope this helps
      Good Luck

I would say either do Project Management or SCM if you want to land a job in SCM here in Canada. But according to my knowledge Project Management will be great for you as then you can apply in Construction companies and other companies like MetroLinx, Ellisdon etc.
      I hope this helps
      Good Luck.

Hi Sajal, thanks for making informative videos like this. Currently, I am a student in Canada pursuing Supply Chain Management. I have two questions for you.
    1. Which certification can I do besides studying to increase my skills & getting preferences while searching for the job.
    2. Which job positions are there for a fresher in this field. My personal interest is in transportation within a country and in Export & Import.
I really appreciate your time & efforts. Thank you so much.

Firstly thanks a lot for finding time to view this video and commenting.
      1) I would say any cetrification under APICS as per your interest or CCLP you can do.
      2) As a fresher, you can apply as a Customs Clearance agent, Junior Dispatcher, Safety & Compliance assistant or 3PL brokerage assistant.
      I hope this helps

      Hi There,
I would say you to complete some certifications in SCM & Logistics Field. Also, Canada does not hire individuals from internationally just like USA does.
It is better to apply for PR, Study permit if you want to come to Canada, rest do certification and make a good growth at your home country first.

Glad to hear that you are working in the SCM Industry. I would recommend either opting for a one-year study that can land you a 3yr Work permit and use this experience to get a job in Canada or directly applying for PNP or PR programs that can be useful, as applying for jobs is a bit hard from outside Canada until n unless they are in demand and the government wants that skill.

Yes, the course will help you a lot in entering the job market, you might be well aware as a lot of people from our community are migrating from the Middle East and here in Canada they don't accept any experience from outside Canada and they give priority Canadian experience which is really bad!

      Hi There,
I would recommend if you are coming to provinces like MB, AB, SK, or other Atlantic provinces then a one-year study would be great and you will get 1yr of work permit, but make sure to land a job that supports LMIA or PNP programs that can increase your PR chances quickly.
On the other hand, if you opt for a 2-year study then you have 3 years of PGWP and you easily find a job anywhere in Canada with 2yrs of experience with MBA and Canadian Study your points will be sufficient under the Express Entry PR system.

For coming to Canada either you can come on Study permit or after gaining few years of work experience and then apply from Permanent Residency (PR), by these methods you can come and then work in Canada.

I have applied in Masters of Management, University of Windsor, Could you please tell me how it differes from MBA? I have done my masters in Production Engineering in India, so do you think this course is worth or technical courses offer higher growth?
Could you please share is it worth to pursue MOM from University than pgdiploma from college?

    • @SinghSajal
      @SinghSajal  4 місяці тому

      Hi Vishal,
Yes, so MBA is more of presentation and generic skills development. Whereas, MOM is more of a technical course and in that you find a root causes analysis or how certain operations can be designed that are effective & efficient.
Lastly, University of Windsor is a great university and Windsor itself is a nice place.
      I hope this helps
      Good Luck :)

Basic technology or software or microsoft skills which are used in this industry which we can learn from our home as we have plenty of time here
Plz rply both ques sir 🙏

    • @SinghSajal

Yes bro ! You can learn from home as well, but in the college you will learn more.
Secondly, the college do matter sometimes but in the interview knowledge matters and if you give your 100% it won't matter you will beat the one with a university degree as well.
And if you need any help in Kingston,I have my cousin over there you can meet him as well.

Hi sir, I'm Pradumna Kalal from India. well, I'm planning to move to Canada by taking up pg Diploma course in Supply chain management and Logistics. So my question is currently in 2023 what is the scope of this course because as I heard many of them trying to take up this course to get settled as even I'm doing the same, so if everyone takes the same course then there will be no much opportunities to the new comers so my enquiry is what can we do to make ourself stand out from rest of others, one is certification fine, if anything else sir for the freshers. And please make a video on how select and enroll to the certification's specially for freshers.

      Hey Bro,
Any course that you do is eventually leading you to get settled and get PR asap specially from Colleges. If you are so much dedicated for the education you can try Universities. if not then, from colleges get good marks be in the Honours above 80%, do volunteering, make networks and do a certification.
      I hope this helps

So can I get a direct job through my work experience? Or else should I have to pursue some courses which you've mentioned through the video?
