@@davecaptain8690 thank you for you support! It’s greatly appreciated!! They’re a lot of fun, let me know how it works out for you, I’m eagerly awaiting spring myself!
@@fixitinthegrass6412 thank you for the support I really appreciate it! The engines paired with the sun dolphins are really fun and extremely cheap. Big boats filling up with $100+ I’m over driving all day on $10. 😎
Is it still doing good if so i thank im going to go head and get me one for my lil boat i just wanted to see u liked it after having it a little while and thanks for the video it was great😮
@@ericdugger5953 oh yea it’s doing great! Just figured out this setup will do 14 mph with 1 person. Thank you supporting the channel, it’s greatly appreciated!!
Hey how's things ? Have the same boat here in Ireland with a 3.5 engine on it ,is that a long shaft engine? And if so could you put a jak plat on it just thinking would it work??
Hey! Hope all is well, this is actually a short shaft engine and the measurements seem to fit this particular boat perfectly! I’m not really sure about the jack plate but that would be cool!
Huge upgrade! Smooth and wayy more quiet than the ol’ weed whacker engine! I can actually hear my speaker playing music while the motor is at full rpm’s. Plus a full tank(3.3 gallons) lasts the whole weekend of constant use.
Cool video, i have the same boat and i am getting ready for some big upgrades as Motorguide Xi3 mounted on the front of the boat, some kind of same engine for the back. All work will be presented on my youtube channel. The Motorguide Xi3 is comming off from my kayak and i am thinking would be a great fit fir this boat. What is your opinion about this?
@@Fishinwitgeno with 2 people it topped at 9.3 mph. With a single person it will do 11 mph. I will be doing another speed test with only myself in the boat soon to really test the top speed
@@jonathansimmons4253 it will run for six hours or so at full rpm, I’ve spent a full 8 hours fishing eagle mountain lake, covering roughly 75% and still had plenty of fuel left for the trip back. It’s very fuel efficient!

love your video man just got one brand new and a short shaft 6 hp brand new cant wait till spring lake is frozen gonna pimp her out with toys

Man, I’m glad you did this video. I just bought that motor and I have the same exact boat. Definitely going to be following you to see how it goes.

Same setup bro.....I got the 6.0 2 stroke a couple day ago, I'm hoping she does good
I bet it will. Is it also a hangkai? I’m really digging this engine a lot!
@IC-O hell yeah man! hangkai 6.0 2 stroke....got it off amazon 👍🤘
Nice! Have the same little boat with a mercury 2.5

Good stuff. Any idea on the motor weight?
Thanks I really appreciate it! It’s roughly around 80 lbs I believe. When I get home from work I’ll check the data plate and let you know.

They don't do well in saltwater. No primer under paint and corrosion starts within 12 months.
