Prototype games prefectly encapsulate my struggle with finding the perfect side/story content balance. I love the side ocntent so much, but you unlock all the cool stuff by advancing the story, which means not playing the side content, lol. I love flying helicopters so much!
This game is good but God, it suffers from this major balancing issue that holds it back, where the healing animations can not only be disrupted, but you can take damage during them, and there's FIFTY people with machine guns in all missions auto-locked onto your character. By the time you consume one in the combat area, you've lost more health than you gained. The game literally rewards fleeing encounters to consume and it tediously disrupts the combat.
Or staying on the move and killing everything shooting at you quickly. Once you lose your powers, you have to rely on the throwable objects, dropped weapons, and any tanks or APCs in the environment in order to take on Blackwatch, and you need the combat upgrades to reliably take on the infected.
1:39:47 Rune Factory 4 mentioned! That's my favorite game ever and the first game I ever played in Japanese! In the japanese version you get two options that both translate to "I'm currently in the sky" but one uses "watashi" and one uses "boku" but english doesn't have gendered first-person pronouns so the poor translators had to improvise
