I don't understand why the doctor doesn't give this kind of information to the patient to help with recovery. I've been several times and all they did was give the injection and tell you good luck. Thank you very much for the information. I'm sure gonna try it.
I agree. Had two injections from different doctors, both got out the door as quickly as possible. Once said “ok, we’re done” and the other said see you in 6 months. Notice when you have some kind of procedure, the nurse usually gives you a handout or sheet that gives you some kind of instructions? Not with this. A bit late for me now to find out about the special care needed! Received a gel injection a week ago and my knee is in so much pain. I have burning by my kneecap and my calf and thigh muscles feel so tight. Not sure if I overdid for the first 4 days. I am 66 with osteoarthritis and a couple of tears. I feel like I did when I had my other replaced 4 years ago. Plus the injection was very painful, won’t do that again.
@@judysustar8237 you may consider performing the Days 0 - 4 recommendations for 1 - 3 weeks. Improvement often occurs gradually. (If your symptoms worsen, stop sooner and follow up with your physician.)
Make sure that guided imaging is used for gel injections. I had a orthopedic doctor inject blindly and he missed the knee joint. Now I go to a clinic that uses ultrasound to make sure the injection goes into the joint.
Is pain normal after injection? I feel like I have so much pressure inside my knees and I can not fully bend or extend my left knee. It is like the gell is in the wrong place... No instruction for aftercare from my doctor at all!!! I told him that I work on my feet 12 hours and he said go ahead!! After hearing your video I am stunned!!
