"Ve-yehi Rachameychu" was Motty Steinmetz's first hit-song (in 2013). Although originally composed by Eli Beer and performed by him and other musicians as well, it was Motty Steinmetz who made this song widely popular.
Song's lyrics are based on 3 verses from the song "Ko Echsof" (whose lyrics and music were composed by Rabbi Aharon of Karlin, Belarus, 18-th century).

We chose our translation of the lyrics over other 2 translations from the internet, because we wanted it to be very, very close (word for word) to the original text that the Great Rabbi Aharon of Karlin had written. In Judaism, behind every word that is used in prayer, in a psalm, in Scripture, there is a reason and a meaning. There are many drashot (Torah lessons) about why one word was used and not another.
So forgive us, if this translation sounds a little "heavy" or strange. But these are the words the righteous author chose to use.
