A really cool video idea would be seeing all the koi Mike picked up on the trip at the shop

James…I’ve watched a lot of Japan videos from various UA-camrs and I must say the way you have delivered it, bits you’ve captured, bits you’ve left out and the overall style of your production has made for the best Japan videos on UA-cam to date. That’s the Absolute 🔨

I cannot believe you were with Mike, he is one of the loveliest guys in the koi world and his knowledge is fantastic.
As for the water quality, most of the ponds are filled with koi brought in from the mud ponds so some water will have been transfered into the ponds, the koi will also be shedding some of their slime coating as they get acclimatised to the new conditions and most if not all will have been treated to make sure there are no parasites, if you visited in a couple of weeks the ponds will be looking how we expect them to look.
I must admit this is the first japan video I've watched because I want to watch them all together but I could not not watch this one with that thumbnail 🤣
I hope you are enjoying every minute James, I was offered once to go to Japan but being confined to a wheelchair I knew I had to say no but I was so sad and now you have seen the hills you can understand why I could not go ☹️ Enjoy your time left James and maybe next time you can go during the All Japan show xx
