Great video and cracking fish, welldone Mrs Whisperer 👏. Are you planning on starting your new setup with the aid of salt. I'm 60 plus days into a brand new grow on pond, started with 5 fish now upto 8 fish. I had issues in the first month with salt around 0.3, second month maintaining salt between 0.5 to 0.6, no issues. I wish I'd have been at 0.6 salt from the start.

Some cracking little carp in that shop I've a doctor friend who brought his koi collection from Japan they started off about 4inches each now they must be near 30lbs each beautiful fish but jesus it's expensive just keeping the buggers.

Fish in cycle is or can be pretty harsh, I understand if you don’t want to seed the filter from the other pond but you can either seed it with live bacteria or get the cycle going by carefully adding an ammonia source over a period of time.
I’m sure they’ll be fine but keep a close eye on those parameters.

Morning James and Mrs Whisperer - the bath of nt labs permanganate - did you follow the instructions and is it 3 minutes as your video or did you add a bit more - what was your ratio - by the way I accept full responsibility if you did not follow the instructions as some people don’t with ratios
I did a lot more then recommended i really don’t want to say what i done on this site because other people might do the same then blame me but you need more then what it says on the instructions that decision is down to yourself I done more
by any chance are you going to the national - I am there Sunday and if you are I could do with some of your tips - for me and the old man - both newbies and constantly have your vids on UA-cam

So what was the total gives us a rough idea on south west quality to price. Even thow videos make them look better they do look bang on
£85 was the cheapest £395 most expensive but Dave lookes after all of his customers a lot more the most dealers i highly recommend the place

Since you have some nice quality koi to start the pond i would net it. Koi like to jump at the beginning. Also pond is not ready for a load. Don't feed to much.
