Hey man! Just wanted to say that this is actually one of my favorite UA-cam channels! I'm just a bedroom guitarist from Estonia (#neighbors 😄), but for the past couple of years I've been fascinated by how guitars get made, and yours is definitely one of the channels that produces very high quality, detailed breakdowns of the whole process!
You sounded a bit discouraged in your previous update video, so I thought I'd just give my 2 cents and say that these two guitars look absolutely fantastic! Don't worry about the slight orange peel! It was barely noticeable even in the sunshine at the end! And I'm sure the kids at the school will be psyched to finally have fresh-looking guitars to play for free 😄
Anyhow, keep rocking and I hope you can keep making this awesome content! 🙂
PS: Now it finally makes sense why your English is so great - it's because you went to English school! 😄

@@Deckstar757 @Deckstar757 Thank you so much. I really do appreciate it, truly🙏🏼 last update was just well... UA-cam/social media has been kicking my ass, when I just wanna make stuff and share it with you guys.
I don't mean to slow down at all and will keep on making stuff. Finally found the inspiration again, so you bet your butt there's going to be stuff coming 😁
And yeah, been speaking English since I was 8 and living in England, TES came around at 11 and the rest -as they say- is history

    Very cool refinishes
However, you could have used crazier colors

I could have, sure. However, the whole point was to get them to pretty much as they were :)

I think this is my favourite episode now! What a wonderful initiative and lovely story, and of course so great to see your work. (And the homage to Bob Ross a great little boy)

Thank you! So glad I got to do this and document it. The Bob Ross I just HAD TO do😅 might've been a tad tired when I did that and thought it was ridiculous

Dude - I would have had a mask on and worn gloves for the disassembly - those guitarss have been mauled by way too many snotty teens over the years.
    Actual biohazard.
Still - your old school having Japan-made Fenders and LTD EC's for student use is amazing. Way better than the trash that is usually in school music rooms.
It kind of pained me about you sanding through the flame veneer on the Fender. ('ll forgive you as you were basically a baby)
I think maybe toothpaste (with baking soda?) on the Fender back plate might whiten it up a bit? I'll have to check back on some vintage toy resto channls.
Regardless of the short time frame - both turned out great and it's nice to know that they will be enjoyed for years to come.

Yeah, that thought occurred to me now that you said it😅 then again, I have a dog that I get kisses from. Pretty sure my immune system got me through the germs just fine haha.
Yeah, now that I know what stuff we had to learn on (read: treat horribly), we were very fortunate to have decent gear. Our music teacher was (and still is) awesome in that regard. Soyeah, the removing of the veneers (turned out to be printed graphics rather than actual wood veneer) was a total blasphemy, but I didn't know any better at the time. Tis how we learn.
Yeah the toothpaste trick! Totally forgot about that one!
And thank you :) really happy with the results, all things considered

@@IPGuitars Oh - so "photo-flame"? Not even real wood veneer? I would not have expected that from a Japan-made Strat. It does make it way more OK that is was sanded off.
I could see the love and respect you hold for your teacher during the unveiling. I'm lucky enough to have a few teachers that I hold in similar regard.
