No, but I did look at the seismic map. Abruzzo is beautiful and cheap to live but has high earthquake risk hence I am doubting to buy a house there.

@@youritaliandream Not if this volcano explodes as it has one before...a vei 7 is possible...and if it is an explosive one I do not only fear for naples or italy. But for the total northern hemisphere of our globe. A 10 year volcanic winter as in 536AD (culpritt assumed to be the krakatoa) would be devastating for worlds food supply...maybe leading to wars about food or even worse.

I've been watching and reading about Campi Flegrei for a number of years now, on Volcano Discovery.

I am watching on the pulse with silki and she made a well couple videos about Campi Flegrei, and it's very, very concerning. I would love to move to Italy, but, with recent activity from Campi Flegrei and Vesuvius, i'll change my mind. Thank you and have a nice day.

As a British man, I will be stocking up on my baked beans in fear of a global shortage

luckily i live in california USA and almost all of our products that us californians purchase are farmed and grown here, not imported. we can easily survive as our own country and as one of the most powerful. If this goes to to a global impact scale, i feel a little better than not...ha. I feel scared for europe. it'll be super sad.

@@Dana_at_LAX that's lucky, the UK government despise the citizens so have systematically destroyed farming and have outsourced every asset putting us in a very vulnerable position to global events. I come from a very agricultural part of the UK (even our football team is nicknamed the Tractor Boys) but slowly farm land here has become new housing estates...

agricultural sector in many countries is in terrible condition due to foolish political decisions

@@Dana_at_LAX That won't help you...As Campi flegri is on the northeren hemisphere...a volcanic winter will also reach you there....
the same as the issues we would have in europe when yellowstone should explode.
Also I thought that the californian government was "destructing" farmers because they are not environment friendly in their (WEF) eyes.

@@guitaringjarmin Ah jeez. I'm sorry that's a quite shitty. If you look up The Great Central Valley in California, its a massive 60-80 mile (96.5-128.7 kilometer) wide x 450 mile (724.2 kilometer) long valley that used to be a massive inland sea that took up the entire center of California. It was drained for farmland and it was an incredible decision. The soils are all naturally so wet from an eternity of being a sea floor that even when there's drought here, the crops most of the time all survive. Additionally, over the last several thousand years, erosion from the surrounding mountains has enriched the valley's soils creating very fertile farmlandIt's resilient soil and resilient agriculture. It also has a volcanic range with a bunch of volcanoes on its eastern side. Incredible landscape. If global famine struck, us californians would have a supply of produce for quite a bit longer and more of it.

Here in the Pacific Northwest of the US we have the potential for a super earthquake that would be devestating to Seattle and Portland, but it might happen tomorrow or 1,000 years from now (or longer). Not long in geologic time but a huge distance in human time. Good to have awareness but maybe not panic.
