- Dear Viewer
I normally hesitate to make public promotional videos I have made for truck companies, however as some of these are now 25 to 30 years old, there may be some historic interest.
There were a lot of bleeding bulldog hearts by the end of the 1980s, early 1990s when the beloved shape and sound of the Super-Liner Mk II was being replaced by the, at the time, strange shapes of wind tunnel engineering. For Mack Trucks Australia, it was the introduction of the CHR and CLR models.
This video shows the heavy duty CLR Super-Liner Titans at work, as the new shapes hit the road train world of Australia's Outback.
Enjoy and stay healthy, Bruce (Honeywill)
I started out with Thermodynes and 237's and ended with an E-9. Been looking at dog butts all my life!
Currently we have 6 Mack Titans with 710hp MP10s working 24-7 hauling road trains of coal at 175 tonne. All have done around 30,000 hours and 1.5 million kms now and we haven't had the heads any of them, they're well serviced and just keep pulling day and night.
That’s interesting to hear, normally they drop valves around 600-700 thousand even earlier
And i did not believe that the macks branded anything over 685 hp , have they been modified in anyway?
@@declanvanarkel9094 no we top tune them every 2000 hours. Oil is changed on hours, every 250 hours. They have been uprated with new ECU power chips

What transmissions do you run in them and have you had any probs with any the trans at all?
My 1st road train was a 630hp signature Cummins Titan. Loved it.
I live in the US and have always found the Aussie trucking interesting! You have good content and this Mack fan subscribed!
Long live the Mack horses!
Dolly: “The only thing I don’t like about the Mack Titan Trucks is that they lack a Dalmatian Hood ornament.”
That has to be as hard on equipment as ice road trucking in canada
Worse
I see they are not messing with a darn sissy automatic!
They left it all for you
@@zaccorpseman7366 No they didn't!I started out on a Mack duplex and graduated all the way up to a quardraplex!Been driving since the mid-60's!
We don’t make them anymore in the states it’s a shame that Mack stopped making the Bulldog Titan they stopped making the Mack super liner AKA “The Super Dog” many years ago they had a fantastic lineup the B R RD tin nose DM 600 tin nose DM 800 U model great great trucks today they have a handful in there lineup I’ve been a major fan of Bull dog Mack’s since I’m a young kid drove a lot of Mack’s and there is nothing like the old school bulldogs
