Usually in indigenous influenced towns and country side mexico people drink from bolws. In aome places they use clay bolws and in others still use the jicara(he-ca-ra) that is a fruit of a tree that looks like coconut shell or pumpkin hardshell. So no necessarily you need a spoon just use as a regular cup.
We absolutely loooved rthis video! We've never been to Mexico but the food looks amazing - we love anything with corn in so this would be perfect for us 😂
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it! Any video where we just walk around eating and drinking is a great day 😂 The corn in Oaxaca is so good! Y’all would love it there.
I so appreciate this video. Oaxaca is on our short list, hopefully this year. We're also vegetarian so appreciating the tips here. And yeah, mole is so good but hard to find without animal fats. We did find just one vegetarian mole negro this past weekend at a market in Chicago and paired it with vegetarian "chick'n." LOL. And I LOVE everything they do with tamarind in Mexico!
While Oaxaca was on my list for a visit to Mexico (at some point) I had not really given much thought to the food. While I enjoy Mexican I really wanted to visit the old town and also Monte Alban. Thanks to you I now have yet another reason to visit. Enjoy Christmas.
we love Oaxaca. My wife has been twice, me once. Maybe next October. its great to see all the old sites again and get your spin on things. Its always nice to share.

12:20 it's got to be folded
No, people in Oaxaca don't drink coffee with spoon
It is used to cool your coffee if it is hot, just move it in the drink
