Ty. We lost power which means food. Midlands of SC. Flooding in some areas. Some in SC are just getting power back. Every year we would travel for fun day in NC for apples and pumpkins. Asheville and Chimney Rock areas a wasteland. Rumor has it Chimney Rock will Not be rebuilt. Please pray for Helene victims. Also pray Milton does no damage. We are Americans so FEMa is doing Nothing because gave all Our Taxpayers money to illegals free everything.

Grandma when I see a snake it's feet don't fail me now and I run the other way. I can't do snakes.
I live in rural South Carolina. We lost our power, water and cell service when the storm hit. It took down five trees and we got a little water in our house. But after five days a deputy came by with water and mre's. After seven days our power was restored. Thank you to all the heroes out there! We are truly blessed! Praying for everyone in Florida. They can use your prayers this coming week!

For the goat house...add canvas panels or tarps to cover the open sides and door. Remove the small panel on the bottom quarter of the panel to the left of the door (left when facing the door outside). Cut strips in the covering over just that small section while you removed the panel. You can either leave the strips over the opening or add vinyl door strips (like these Toriexon Plastic Door Strips 8’ x 7.6", Vinyl Door Strips Curtain 0.08” Thickness, Smooth Plastic Door Curtain for Walk in Cooler Commercial Entry Doors, DIY Dog Cat House Entry Door strips) to create door flaps the goats can go through. If you got the same canvas panels that you used on the opposite side, you can cut out sections for both the goat and people doors leaving as few spaces as possible. The flapps over the goat door will be a wind break. You could also do similar coverings on the other shelters keeping everyone warm and out of the wind & weather this winter, while still having easy access for cleaning etc.

Great ideas on new goat feeding arrangements and that is so much better for you all! They will continue to grow up and be able to stand up for themselves. Just will take time. Did Grandma use a wheelbarrow? Oh now! Leanne I know you all have some sort of wagon or wheelbarrow to haul heavy things in...I don't want you to get hurt hun. That was a good dance today Grandpa made me smile I fell and hurt my knee last Monday so I can't be doing no dancing my chickens have to have their worms in the morning and the volunteer tomatoes are bigger than anything we bought in the stores already I'm thinking about putting a couple in pots and bringing them in through winter😊

I have recently noticed 4 black cats around here…we think someone set them out here. We live on 5 acres surrounded by woods, off the beaten path ..so I started feeding them…they run away into the woods but I put their food dish down and a water bowl next to the woods and walk away….hoping to win their trust…I love them from afar since they are feral…but enjoy watching them eat from my bedroom window. I pray they stick around..
I have a kitty that was dropped off three years ago. Had her fix. She is the best cat. She stays in my garage at night and I let her out each morning. This morning she rewarded me with a dead mouse at my back door. Good kitty. ❤

Hey Ralph and LeeAnn. You could maybe get one of those wagons they sell at most farm and home repair stores for hauling things around. I have one and I use it for everything. That would make hauling bags of feed much easier. Don't stress too much about the goats, the littles will be as big as Fox and PDub before you know it and will be holding their own. 🐐😊
Maybe try filling the hay racks half full for now until they get used to both of them .

it's usually Millet that sprouts and grows like sorghum, it can reseed but it will grown thick my chickens usually eat some of the leaves and I just leave it grow 3-4 feet tall. Millet looks a lot like corn or maize

I live in central Florida close to Tampa we have yet another storm aimed at use this time not just the out skirts of it. sadly they are still finding people buried in the sands for the flooding waters. i ask for prayers to help us make the right choices and live through this one. Damage can always be fixed things can be replace just not lives. Please all pray with me to watch over the state. My prayers are also with all my family in Ga. Tenn. SC. and NC. Gods Blessing on everyone . So love the Doss family.
