Mastering Chord Inversions for Smoother Guitar Riffs

- Let's talk chord inversions. What does it mean to invert a chord? Can you do it on guitar or is it only something for choirs and Elton John? How do you invert a chord in guitar? Why would you want to? When is it useful?
This video explores those and many more questions (ok, I don't really go that in depth since I'm trying to keep true to the style and pace of Simple Songwriting.)

Cool channel. Thanks for the ideas!
Thanks for the comment! It's much appreciated for a small channel like mine. Hope to see you again!
Great stuff, very usefull. Love the style of your videos. Sub for you!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot. Hope you're having a great day!
Fantastic video. I love your teaching style. Thank you for the video. Keep em coming
For some reason I've always called those power chords with the 5th in the bass 'Death Chords'
I like that! They can definitely sound chunky and heavy, given a suitable context.
cool channel man!
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate the comment RJ. Hope you're having a great day!
@@heitstrengningmusic You too, thanks for the comment on my vid. You made my day a little better.
@@RJ_Groot You made mine a little bit better! Best of luck on your guitar journey, I'll be following!
Subscribed ! We want you to blow up! Pls don't be so apologetic about asking for a subscribe. Just say that as a call-to-action, throw in your own unique style. You'll have a trademark call to action without any awkwardness. Rinse and repeat that, may be with a touch of humor or whatever. You have brilliant production skills , won't be too hard to figure that out. (and hey btw, I watch a lot of guitar channels, yours is as good as any out there).
cheers
(PS - I sub'd Chris Sherland's channel when he just started out, hard not to acknowledge the quality of the material he was putting out and I commented that he's gonna be deservedly big. He replied that he was happy with the few of the subscribers he then had. He's now clocking 50K subs. If you keep at it, my prediction is 50K subs this time next year !. And again, ask for subs, make it a compelling proposition for the viewer . Make it a competition that the viewer participates with you or what ever, but do that ..
wishing you the best !
Lotsa love from India.!
Hi there! And wow. I work hard on these videos, and with every upload I try to improve and add a new element, or do something different, and I don't get a lot of comments, views or feedback on any of it. So, a comment like this means so much to me.
Thank you so much for taking to time to write it, it's huge for my motivation and inspiration. And you're absolutely right about getting creative with the whole subscriber thing. I have thought about doing some kind of challenge or competition, because I know musicians are watching this channel, so thanks for giving me some great fun ideas!
Make sure to check back in a year to see how you're doing on that prediction then! And P.S.. who are "we"? Haha.
No, but seriously, thank you so much for this and have an amazing day! It makes me very happy to hear someone in India is enjoying what I do.
@@heitstrengningmusic So I literally searched you out to see if you have posted any new videos(your channel name is not the easiest of names to remember 😅). Though I kinda binge watched most of the videos you've posted and "liked" them, the algo still didn't as yet auto recommend . I did not even get a notification that you replied to my comment. You do know that the frequency you post vids do matter for engagement. In time I guess you'll learn to play along with the YT Algo.
Answering - Yes, I'll definitely be keeping a watch on the growth of the channel and in a years time, will celebrate with you.

@@hanzofunai4238 Haha! Sorry about that! (regarding having a very hard to remember and not marketable name)
Oh, what a bummer about the algorithm not recommending me even after that. But very useful information though, thank you for that! UA-cam is against me I guess haha. Yes, I wish I could post more and do more, but I'm not even monetized or anything on UA-cam so until I can make it my income, it's a challenge to post and work as much as I would like. I wish I could make way more videos, and make them even better.
Interactions such as these make it worth all the time and hard work though. I was really happy to read your initial comment and it gave me such a boost.
Oh we will for sure celebrate and I will keep track of your comment!
You look cold. Are you okay?
I'm great! But northern Sweden gets cold. How are you? And thanks for the comment!
@@heitstrengningmusic I’m glad you’re okay. Myself, I’m good. I’m in San Francisco. The weather is essentially non-complainable. There’s many other things to complain about…
@@jonnyroxx7172 I've been there once! But only for a few days, and it was late October I think. I loved the weather a few hours north though, up in Humboldt. Spent about two months there in late summer/fall.
I'm glad you're good, despite all the things to complain about!
@@heitstrengningmusic Humboldt is beautiful. I love your channel btw.
So beautiful! Oh, thank you so much! That makes my day!
Hi not important, my name's dad!
Hello there! Thank you for saying hi! I imagine that must have been challenging for him at times!
