I am so impressed with the way you are raising your kids! Watching your son come up with that baseball game truly shows how creative kids can be when they don’t have so much outside noise coming at them. This was such a fun video to watch!

My son made up a live game and kept score with his football cards. So fun to watch him do that for hours..he’s almost 13 and still makes up games with cards and figurines and legos. This summer I decided no screens until 3 pm. Then they get an hour. So they know they have several hours to occupy themselves and be bored. It’s been a lot nicer
The iclever headphones are what our school recommends :) I absolutely agree about the screens! I don’t let my kids have them when we are in stores, waiting at a restaurant, etc.
I won’t say they don’t get some screen time on their tablets. But I do try to keep it under control.
We did creepy crawlies as a summer brake activity. we went for walks and went on bug, hunts made bug hotels the kids loved that unit done like that.

I'm the same with the freezer meals! I do find that meatballs and chicken pot pie filling freeze really well though so I stick with those! I've seen people make homemade pizza and freeze it right before baking so that it can be baked from frozen like a storebought frozen pizza. I really want to test that out because I also struggle sometimes with having quick meals on hand since we avoid buying processed convenience foods too :)
I rarely make freezer meals for the same reason as you. I prefer just to prep ingredients- like chopping celery or peppers then freezing them.

Entrepreneurship is a good one to put off until the kids are a year older anyways; they will likely get more out of it a year from now! I was amused by Charity's face as her brothers discussed reptiles vs creepy crawlies! At least in the end she was happy with the other units you are doing.
I agree on the entrepreneurship! Yes, Charity shows her emotions on her face! 😄 She wanted to do music most of all, so I decided on that, even though the boys weren’t interested at all.
Chili is a good one to freeze as it always tastes better later than eaten now. Also raw pizza dough frozen in balls works great! Chicken and beef broth frozen is super when you have some leftover meat in the fridge and want to make a quick soup. Meatballs, meatloaf, burgers and spaghetti sauce are great things to make with beef for the freezer.
Ohh yes I need to try the pizza dough! I do this with pie crust in a ball, and it thaws just fine!

I love to freezer prep cabbage rolls. I don't pre cook the meat before freezing. Then when I want to use it, I just put it in the slow cooker and add the homemade sauce that day. I also add meatballs to each pack too.

Pretty much when I do "freezer meals" its mostly just marinated meats. Though recently I've been trying marinated meats and veggies all in the same bag, and I'm really loving it. I can thaw it out and skewer them for grilled kabobs, or sauté in a pan and serve over rice or noodles for a stir fry, or even as a sheet pan meal. I've also tried some meals from the freezer meal 101 club/youtube channel, and that has been pretty good.
