James C well of course every dog is an individual so although your dog isn’t the strongest doesn’t mean another Doberman wouldn’t be stronger. These are dogs that can run 40 mph, jump 6ft in the air and have a bite force of over 300 psi and definitely should have been on this list.
Yeah I'd put the massive Bully Kutta at 4th, the huge and powerful Alabai at 3rd, the massive, intimidating and fearless Boerboel 2nd and the legendary one and only Turkish Kangal at 1st. I've seen a Kangal once in my life and the dog's presence alone is just something crazy that you need to experience for yourself to understand.
@@god1284 I have a CAO dog very similar to the Kangal dog. And yes a CAO dog or Kangal dog in their presence alone is just crazy because of their explosive fearless territorial temperament at guarding animals/property or family.

Love this channel! Another great video! Although I would remove the Bandog and put the Caucasian in its place. I am a Boerboel owner. My dog (female) is 8 months old, weighs 50+ kg and is extremely powerful. (Her mum is about 70 kg). Very strong and still agile. However I have to pre-warn potential Boerboel owners. This dog has an extreme guarding instinct, is very dominant and not easy to work with. This dog is not for everyone. You will need a lot of patience rising the Boerboel. And you have to start from very young age. This is also heartbreaking because a few weeks old Boerboel puppy is the cutest creature on the planet. Love to all dogs and their owners!
I’m not mad at your list I would have put both the Dogo and cane corso higher in the rankings though. I favor the dogo due to having one myself, and knowing their potential . It’s difficult when you have to narrow it down to 10 dogs... I’m personally happy that he didn’t at the dobbie or gsd since the dogs on here are all more physically powerful while being athletic (probably not as much). Even a European Doberman doesn’t have the muscle mass of a Rottweiler or true strength, comparing it comparing to a bully kutta, kangal, and boerboel is a JOKE.

Good list, but I don't know about one thing. You say the AmPit lacks the brute strength to be among the elite. While I don't think they are the most powerful, they do some pretty crazy things I have not even seen some of the dogs on this list do. I'm talking about pulling a truck with men on the truck and killing cow level of power. UA-cam has some examples of their power. Again, still a good list, and every breed on here is powerful. I just wonder if every single one of these breeds have feats similar to or greater than those.
@@TheMendo123 I'm not so sure about what you say. I am sure they could be on this list too, but any information I can look at saying they win almost every time? Honestly, Pits seem to be more frequently featured in that kind of thing, and I hardly see people use Alaskan Malamutes. Dogumentary TV even interviewed people that use their dogs to pull weight, and it has only been Pits as far as I have seen. There are also Bullies and Bandogges that do very well, but nobody really mentions Malamutes. Not saying they are not used, but if I go look up dog weight pull, I will probably be getting a lot of Bull breeds.
It's like boxing and asking who was the greatest 'pound for pound.' The ABPT is right up there with Sugar Ray Robinson. As I commented earlier the fifth element of strength is 'heart!'
@@GO-GO_SO-SO you're just going off of youtube videos though. Go look up the actual results, that's what malamutes were bred for to pull. A malamute owns the record, pitbulls are starting to close the gap though, mainly because less and less people are using their dogs what they were bred for and a person who gets a pit is more likely to want to put them in strength competitions where a malamute is now becoming a family dog
As the proud owner of a rescued American Bulldog I think I would rate them higher, ours goes from zero to sixty in a nano second, and if anyone looks cross eyed at any family member, she gives them a death stare (my wife calls it stink eye) as she gets herself into attack/defense mode. Our young grand kids love her and vice versa as they roll around in the back yard playing keep away with an assortment of sports balls.

I just don't understand why you said that dogo argentino"s are a medium to large breed and about rottweiler you said it is a large breed. I think you can switch those over :p
Decent list. Happy that you included Alabai. Interestingly, the Turkish Kangal, Ovcharka and Alabai probably share the same Mastiff ancestor, that's why they are all fine livestock guardians. All share an impressive bite force. I would have swapped the Rott with Ovcharka, but to each is own I guess.
Yeah he said the rott gets bonus points for legendary bite force but the Kangal correct me if I’m wrong has the strongest bite force (PSI) of any other domesticated dog breed. Would not want to get bitten by a kangal
@@CAAARRRLL Rott has a bite force of 328 psi, a number not that good considering dogo has a bite force of 500 psi. I don't know what is legendary about that, maybe he had another source about rottweilers. @@portakal9877 Those numbers r kinda sketchy taking into account that the dogs weight and head size is a HUGE factor into their bite strength... And Rotweilers r on average like 30-40 pounds heavier than a Dogo while having 2ice the head size.

I agree with the list.ive owned three American bulldogs..one very large Johnson and two Scott /painter.i currently have an American (Scott) and olde English Bulldog. The American bulldogs are tenacious, quick, agile ,hit like a freight train and have a vice like grip. They are wonderful dogs great companions and fierce protectors.I use to have a book about the breed written by a former law enforcement officer. He said the American Bulldog would be his number one pick for protection because they had speed, size, ,agility.,and a death grip.He also said it would be hard to pick the dog up and throw it and also the breed has a high threshold for pain if a bad guy tried to beat the dog off
10. Cane corso 9. Germán sheperd 8. Dogo argentino 7. Alabai 6. Doberman 5. Rottweiler 4. Borboel 3. Fila brasilero 2. Caucasian sheperd 1. Kangal This is my list just if they dont have previous civilian protection training. Kangal is the best in this área bc most part of the Breed are still true working dogs ( not the pedigree one), they have a much more marked protection instinct than any other breed.
In (Olympic) weightlifting, the overall winner is the lifter who lifts the most total weight compared to their body weight. I would love to see which of the heaviest breeds, can 1) move their body a certain distance for time and 2) can move a weight, compared to their own weight, over a distance for time Agility usually is referred to quickness of lateral movement, and though powerful, isn’t bunched in with “power” movements Still loved the list, especially #1 since they are my favorite breed. Mohawk Mbiri yes but they are definitely not the same
Love you’re videos keep up
No Doberman? Such an amazing combination of speed, power and agility.
Alexa, I agree 1000%!!!!👍💪
I have a Doberman and an Amstaff. The Amstaff is much stronger.
James C well of course every dog is an individual so although your dog isn’t the strongest doesn’t mean another Doberman wouldn’t be stronger. These are dogs that can run 40 mph, jump 6ft in the air and have a bite force of over 300 psi and definitely should have been on this list.
Dobermans have the speed and agility but every single dog on this list is overall more powerful
Mass?
Thanks for the video ! Might switch the order around a little but good list. Gave me something to watch this morning !
Nice for putting Kangal on 2, but I know for a fact it belongs on 1 and the majority of the world will agree.🇹🇷

Rottweiler is no where close to the strength speed agility of a Dogo. Smh

Speed & agility I agree. Strength wise, hell nah the Rottweiler is more powerful than the Dogo Argentino lol. I’m open to being SHOWN otherwise cause without objective evidence, you clearly are lacking the critical assessment premise to support that asinine hypothesis.
@@TheQPill I would like to see that dog go up against a 300 pound boar and hold it there while the hunter shows up
Great list! Can't understand pit bull not being on it. I'd say they have exceptional everything except mass. But I definitely respect ur list
I think the rodesian ridgeback should be the because they are athletic dogs and have a lot of power
too light
They couldn’t be the most powerful because others are better in every category
You can think whatever you want, but the thing is that it is not on the list because it isn't one of the most powerful dogs.
They’re overrated
I am a very strong man. I had a Ridgeback jerk me off my feet. I was amazed! Maybe it's not the most powerful, but by God that's one powerful animal!
Well put together
Borebol are excellent and very impressive, my dream Dog.
The traits needed and the way you defined it was spot on
Love your content but how in the hell is the Rottweiler that high, ahead of the Presa and The Central Asian Shepherd
You have open my eyes to 3 more beautiful breeds I've never heard of. I never heard of the Bandog, Central Asian Shepherd, or the Butti Kutta they look like very strong breeds. I love big dogs! Thank you for introducing them to me. Now it's time for me to do my homework on the breeds!
I have a boerboel rottweiler mix. I absolutely love him, he is one of the best dogs I have. He is really playful but also very protective and loyal. I can't imagine my life without him
how is his temperament? I do not have the experience to handle a boerboel and probably not a Rottweiler. needless to say, I wouldn't ever own a boerboel and probably not a Rottweiler. those are two strong breeds that require experience. much love and respect towards the breeds.
@@thisisrachel4064 He is very territorial and dominant, he is fine with other dogs as long as they are submissive, we also have a pit bull and they're best friends. Awesome list! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you.
Great stuff brother, like all your videos. Keep them coming sir
Good list. We’ll have Dogos for life at our house that’s my personal favorite.
Plezure banana I wanted to get 2 dogs and found they are illegal here lol.
James a yeah that’s a shame. Most affectionate dog we’ve ever owned until you mess with his family. Perfect dual personality
Completely agree, I have two. My wife has never liked animals at all. However she adores our Dogo’s
I’m not mad at your list I would have put both the Dogo and cane corso higher in the rankings though. I favor the dogo due to having one myself, and knowing their potential . But like anything else , results may differ between dogs etc. I’ve also work cane corso dogs with bite work. They have some power , and can maneuver on the field very well . Solid list either way. 🤙🏽
yh. cane is basically same as dogo. only difference is cane has higher bite force.

I think the doberman Pinscher should be in the list. Its a large dog, great speed and agility. It has great strength too..
@@nationaltragedy2509 that's the american show line. The working line is thicker than you think. They are pure muscle and no fat. Rotties always have problems with fat and weight gain.
amair825 the American Doberman is slim. The euro is a solid big dog. He could have added the giant schnauzer too. They have the muscle weight and agility
It’s difficult when you have to narrow it down to 10 dogs... I’m personally happy that he didn’t at the dobbie or gsd since the dogs on here are all more physically powerful while being athletic (probably not as much). Even a European Doberman doesn’t have the muscle mass of a Rottweiler or true strength, comparing it comparing to a bully kutta, kangal, and boerboel is a JOKE.
cato12 European and American Doberman has almost same weight and size but different structures
It’s not a large dog

Here's my list :
Honorable Mentions (Random Order) :
Irish Wolfhound
European Great Dane
English Mastiff
Saint Bernard
German Boxer
Akita Inu
Top 15 (In Order With #1 Being Most Powerful) :
15 : Cane Corso
14 : Dogo Argentino
13 : Rottweiler
12 : Presa Canario / Canary Mastiff
11 : Tosa Inu
10 : Fila Brasiliero
9 : Spanish Mastiff
8 : Neapolitan Mastiff

5 : Caucasian Shepherd
4 : Boerboel / South African Mastiff
3 : Alabai / CAO / Central Asian Shepherd
2 : Aksaray Malaklisi
1 : Turkish Kangal
Actually, I completely agree with your list. I had Boerboel at #1 as well. Great video!
An English mastiff is most probably stronger due to its sheer size
Documentary TV is the man, I always watch their videos and inspire me to make my own channel thankyou for always inspiring me.

Great video again. Keep it up 👍
Myself and a friend of mine imported the first boerboels to Chicago in the early 90s! Facts!

According to your definition of powerful dog, Rhodesian Ridgeback must have been a contender!
Yash Vashistha almost but they’re not as big boned as the rest on the list.
@@marcwareham9351 alright.
Yash Vashistha I’ve got a Ridgeback by the way. Great dogs. He’s 12 and still in good shape. Some of the bigger dogs don’t live as long and don’t stay in peak condition.

I TOTALLY agree with your list. I wish you had mentioned the bite force of your #1 selection the Boerboel but it is by far the best choice for number one of the categories you cited.
Alaskan Malamute, Big, Strong, Fast and long stamina✌🏻
SO here's what I got to say about your list sir!!!!!! Great work. LOL I love comparing work with you.
The GSD has strength, agility, speed and most of all intelligence lvl 999999999
But not much mass and brute strength. It’s just a slightly bigger version of the dogs be mentioned in the beginning as strong and athletic but small and lacking the mass and force.
Not A Channel // Anymore Agreed, they’re like the weight class below the ones listed. This list is like the heavy weights.
@@Nothing-yi6vw I would agree with you however the Eastern European Shepherd from Russia is just as big or comparable (110 lb avg male) and still retains the speed and agility, so it really depends on which line/type of dog you are comparing.
Great list
The Tosa Inu, Bullmastiff, Great Swiss Mountain Dog, Broholmer, Russian Black Terrier, Owtscharka, Cimarrón Uruguayo wld be worth to mention. But to be fair a lot of the big breeds are related to each other... Great Dane maybe
Thankew for mentioning the great Dane
1) Kangal and Boerboel with 800psi bite force.
2) bandogge
3) Cane Corso (it should be top 5 in ur list tbh)
4)tosa inu
Pretty solid list my only complaint would have to be it definitely needs the Tosa hands down
I love the video these videos are the best

10) dogo
9) neo working line
8) caucasian shepered
7) central asian
6) presa
5) bandogg
4) bullykutta
3) boerboel
2) kangal

Actually I agree with this list 💯
Boerboel is the greatest dog breed ever
I think one more criterion is missing: stamina. Then we'd see the dogo argentino move up to the no. 1 spot

The Alaskan Malamutes win those weight pulling competitions almost every time, if anything he should have put them on there
@@TheMendo123 I'm not so sure about what you say.
A malamute owns the record, pitbulls are starting to close the gap though, mainly because less and less people are using their dogs what they were bred for and a person who gets a pit is more likely to want to put them in strength competitions where a malamute is now becoming a family dog
ampt's are the best fighting dog pound for pound , but this is about strength and any of these dogs have more muscle mass
100% agree with the Boerboel as no. 1, they are the ultimate.
Deshan Naidoo not as powerful as a Caucasian Shepherd or an English mastiff

I think instead of "most powerful", this list should have been the best dog breeds with man stopping ability. Just my opinion.

Presa canario is #3
In (Olympic) weightlifting, the overall winner is the lifter who lifts the most total weight compared to their body weight. I would love to see which of the heaviest breeds, can 1) move their body a certain distance for time and 2) can move a weight, compared to their own weight, over a distance for time
Agility usually is referred to quickness of lateral movement, and though powerful, isn’t bunched in with “power” movements
