When I try to do this I usually just drenched my hair in water so it’s easier to comb and brush and I just put gel and brush it until it somewhat lays down. I never tried the method where people put get on their hair in sections since my hair is more flat at the roots and thick at the ends. I don’t Blow dry it either since there’s no use for the extra work of the get will make my hair revert back to curly anyways 🤷🏾♀️
