K.R.I.T. is the epitome of what the south music is suppose to sound and feel like to the soul. Everytime I listen to this brother man he paints picture in the mind
I am so blown away. I was in my first ever Astronomy lecture just two days ago, and my professor showed us a video called "Powers of Ten (1977)", which absolutely blew my mind. And now here I am, discovering more and more of Krit's old masterpieces, and seeing THE EXACT SAME TYPE OF VIDEO. Man, it's a small world...
2024 is just part of the bigger picture, Its all for a reason we cannot attain because were only a pixel in the grand scheme of the range. Our perspective is so small as individuals. Thank the design we collectively last. Were not alone even in the pains theirs a bigger picture not a fairness working each of our lives one can only say fate or god, or as i believe the design is still being pushed out at all the angles. Our history is one hell of a thang. Why the hell are we so different than every animal on this planet. Design my friends or fate or god. Whatever you call it, We all know WE DID NOT CHOOSE this. We navigate the image made as we were given as we get. Peace an harmony to yall fuck the minimal range we tend to to tunnel vision in these days. STAY UP o7 (salute)
So, I'm not sure if any of you thought of this or not, but this song directly samples of "Stormy" by The Meters. He is making a direct reference to them with the zooming out by meters on top of the sample.
The music reminds me of my child-hood on the west side of Fresno going to church, or the jam sessions my uncles and dad would have on random afternoons. It also reminds me of my dad driving at night to have group rehearsal with his gospel group the supreme jubilees and watching the guys talk laugh and joke around as they were tuning their instruments and my dad doing the same as the lead guitarist. This record also puts me someplace in the south which I have never been but know someday I shall go to see all the pretty black women I imagine in my mind that aren’t Thots but classy sophisticated ladies with brains and beauty that can cook and pervade you with a smile and in other ways I desire to experience, and who knows I may find suitable to marry too! That would be marvelous.
The Power of Ten… is where the concept of this video came from. Almost exactly. It’s crazy how I had to go away and ended up stumbling upon the original. Before that, I just loved the song & video
We've gotta all promote this man and his music. Facebook Twitter Instagram tumblr post his music and stuff. People will gravitate when they are exposed to it more. Hes sooooo talented
God I’m so lucky to have been able to here this back in 2014 I had been like 9 maybe 10, I’m 18 now and back then I was able to appreciate such a beautiful song. Back when mtv jams would play something with a message and soul
You’re still young brotha live a little and love some more. In another 10 years you’re going to be wondering what happened and where’s the time go. Take advantage of it while you can my friend
I’m 22 I’m pretty sure I first heard this on there too lol I come back to it every now and then amazing song also I’m from the first letter of the restaurant in your name LOL
I wish you saw the bigger picture, if I make it I’ll come back to getcha it’s clear as day but you don’t see the vision 😢 going through a separation and listening to this hit different
Jason carper to make a hit hip hop record for today's youth all you need is a beat that is "turnt" and some skateboarding punk with pink braids, wearing his little sister's jeans and some Vans tennis shoes saying the same 3 words over and over. When you hear all the garbage that is put out today ( young thug, Migos, Fetty wap, little Uzi vert) it sure reminds me how lucky I was to come up in the late 80's and through the 90's when rap was at its pinnacle.
*The Pale Blue Dot* _"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam._ _The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot._ _Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves._ _The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand._ _It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."_ *~Carl Sagan~*
We are but a spec of dust floating in an infinite atmosphere.. so we should take more time to think outside of the box and cherish the little things in life
