Some of those seemed a bit odd, but one of the most important health tips for me is recognizing the source of my health robbers such as stress, and observing what causes it. It often boils down to not having enough faith in God, and worrying about things beyond my ability to control.

  • @kaboozle

I get a lot more benefits from playing a musical instrument (I play the piano every day) that aren't mentioned. It can reduce stress, help resolve anger, increases my ability to focus, it makes me happy (or sad, but that can be a good thing too!), it helps me deal with emotional stuff and much more. IMO, playing an instrument is by far the most valuable tip. It is also one of the few activities that will activate ALL parts of your brain at the same time in a way that no other activity will. Get happy and healthy, pick up an instrument today! 😎

    My extra health tips:
    1. Drink out of a reusable glass or a stainless steel bottle, since plastic bottles frequently contain many chemicals which are harmful to humans.
    2. Use one side of your pillow case each night (2 uses per pillow case), since oils from your face seep into your pillow case at night and if you use the same side more than once you are more likely to get acne.
    3. Cut down on the animal products you eat (dairy, eggs, meat etc.), since they have many health risks associated with them.
    4. Stop eating and drinking things with added sugar. Instead of having that cola have water. Instead of having that chocolate bar have a piece of fruit or at least a bit of dark chocolate.
    5. Buy a vertical mouse. Vertical mouses can be used for a longer period of time and are better for your hands and wrists.
    6. Don't shower every day (unless you get sweaty a lot or you have to for medical reasons). Our bodies don't need to be washed every single day. Daily showers can be harmful for your skin, hair and good bacteria. Doctors suggest that we shower once or twice a week and every time we get very sweaty or dirty, like after intense exercise or camping.
    7. Instead of eating at specific times of the day eat when you are hungry.
    8. Don't add salt to your meals when they taste fine without it because a lot of added salt to our diet is pretty bad for humans.
    9. Get an app called f.lux for your computer to lessen the effects that your screen has on your eyes in the late afternoon and at night.
    10. Limit the use of chemicals on your body (except hand wash unless you use it way to often or something). An example of something you should limit your use of is shampoo since it dulls your hair, strips it off its essential oils and other things. Only use shampoo if you have to e.g if you have lice or something. Another example is deodorant, some humans don't even produce a bad smell when they sweat but if you do use a natural deodorant.
    11. Get a toilet stool and or crouch over your toilet when doing a poo, since sitting on the toilet makes it harder to poo, it is bad for your colon and other things.
    12. Stop frequently touching your face because it increases your chance of getting acne.
    13. Don't hold in your pee or poo if you need to go then go. You can develop bladder problems, bowel problems and infections if you hold in your pee or poo.
    14. Get a plant and put it in your house, since it cleans the air and makes you more relaxed.
    15. When you are using public restrooms and you enter a stall take a piece of tissue and use it to close the door, put down the toilet lid and use it to flush the toilet, so that you don't touch them with your skin.
If you don't know why you should do some of these things then look it up.

Drinking water, eating stuff that have plenty of minerals, and licking and moving saliva around your mouth, all increase oral health. I rarely is ever brush my teeth, mostly only ever to control smell, and I baffle my dentist, he keeps saying I'm defiantly brushing and flossing and have the healthiest teeth he's seen, oh and also take plenty of vitiman D, spend time outside and find time you get your heart rate up, saunas are also good. Heat like in sauna's has been shown to promote bone marrow health and blood circulation and red blood cell count, all of which are critical for regenerating bone and enamel. All brushing your teeth does is polish them, it fails to address the problems that actually cause your teeth to break down, and fails to repair them. Also I avoid high fructose and glucose foods and stick to regular sugar.

I didn't realise brushing your teeth after a meal could damage them. Doing nothing after drinking sugary drinks or easting cakes and donuts is certainly damaging. I think the answer is the rinse straight after with nothing but water.

My theory of getting skinnier is: if you eat just a few meals a day your stomach thinks: ,,i dont wanna burn fat i'll need, i dont wanna wait for the next meal''. But when you eat several small meals your stomach thinks: ,, He's going to give me my lovely meal in a minute so i can burn that fat because i'm gonna receive the new portion''.

    3 Tips to Feel Healthy
1- Start Juicing: There is no better way to super charge your diet with vitamins and minerals than with vegetable juice.
2- Get a Good Night’s Sleep: You can’t go too long without getting enough sleep. Most people need at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
3- Try a Fast: Fasting might seem counter intuitive when you are feeling tired and need energy. However, there are so many helpful benefits to fasting for 24 hours. Intermittent Fasting can energize your whole body.

My sis ran a 26 mile. Daily stress of training - her periods quit on her. Not enough cholesterol, so body made the cholesterol. It was as high as 700. She ate lean, mean, then bulk up on carbs for 2 wks. The body still thought it was on starvation mode on the day of the race. FYI she was a nurse at that time. Then they lathered their feet with vaseline to minimize calluses. You are right - exercise works . It's hating to move and loving to munch that causes hormone imbalance & stress, plus most of us are not designed for 8-hr days. More like Europe 4 on, 2 off, 4 on. 6 days a week. 2 months vacations. More sharing child caring. More social media in person.

I've heard that you SHOULDN'T sleep on your left side, because it compresses your heart. Also, I''ve noticed that when I'm on my left side, stomach acidity is worse, probably because our stomachs slope left to right, so sleeping on the left side would put more pressure/increase the likelihood of reflux in the esophagus.

  • @integrablemaths6765

Sleeping on your left side is totally bad and unhealthy idea because when u sleep on ur left side ur total body weight put a pressure on ur heart that couses to heart not to do its functions freely . heart may fail to pump the blood longer, so I advice to sleep to ur right side.

#6, the amount of calories burned while walking depends on speed, duration and weight. While studying for my personal trainer certification, I came up with this formula: Calories = weight in pounds x speed in mph x duration in minutes x 0.0013. Your maximum heart rate is 220 - your age. For fat burning, you should reach 65% of your MHR, which is known as your target heart rate. That burns an equal amount of calories from fat and carbohydrates. When you exceed this THR, your body burns sugar instead of fat. It takes 3 minutes for your body to respond to a change in activity.

Ahmad H, I didn't know they were proven false, but I do know that sleeping on my left will give me heartburn faster and easier than on my right which seems to me how the stomach is made. Sleeping on my back is less likely than on either side, and then there is sleeping elevated as in a chair. So yes I do agree with your assessment, but I didn't know it was proven wrong.
When I saw #20, I thought the same thing you mentioned, and that is how can any of this be trusted?
I also found fault with #18. If I want to get in the mode to go to bed, I turn off all room lights with no modification to my 24" screen for my computer, and it will put me into sleep mode within minutes.
I don't know where their status comes from, but my personal experience trumps their data.

    • @ahmadh1259
      @ahmadh1259 7 років тому

Leslie Savage you're right, it's actually true that sleeping on your right side aides digestion by using gravity to 'move everything along'. Hence why you might have less heartburn in this position. I don't know where they got the left side thing, your stomach and intestines have to push against gravity in that position and hence you're more likely to have a back up of food or in your case, acid.
