Recommendations for Fallen: 1. make tiered walls/ defences for fallback positions. Think Minath Stirith from Lord of the Rings. 2. Have all your troops trained and ready to go before building the walls. 3. focus on building/ expanding 1 wall at a time 4. have a standing army in front of expanding walls. 5. traps in front and behind walls 6. Gates
I definitely should build a lot more fallback positions, though I think my big issue was not enough troops to push any walls that I was making. Needing infantry and archers to push will always be a massive drain on my manpower. I definitely have plans for future attempts and future castles
From experience it's better to have almost no troops but only rows of ballista and catapults double gate and walls that are around 3 wide and then the enemy catapult are shooting your walls just manually fire the ballista
I think you're missing out not having a booming wood export economy. 20 or so level 3 lumberjacks paired with 1.5-2x as many foresters will give you enough wood production that you can set your market to repeatedly export wood for gold. I have games where I'm sitting on 10k wood and 3k gold. That way, whenever I have another major project, I can always buy a large influx of stone and iron without worry of my infinite resources taking too long to replenish stock.
For this video or total? Total probably about 30-40 hours as I was doing a lot of internal planning in my head. Can probably be done an awful lot faster if you wing it but I spend more time on stuff when I know my shame is being shown
@@FallenShogun Yeah the total time. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but only spending around an hour or so everyday till I die, may have to rethink that now.

Yeah I learnt a few different lessons from this one, I have future ideas I could put into practice in future runs if interest is still there for them
That was awesome, exactly what I wanted to see from late game content
A slowly unravelling mind and panic?

Keep up the good work man

@@FallenShogun i will
great vid. btw build more of those crystal beacons. Running out of crystals was part of the downfall
You can sadly only have one of the beacons in this version, unless they changed it after recording

Can't you set your defences to target a particular area? that would have patched the catapult problem
Unless things changed since recording you can't choose targeting areas for catapults, they can only do closest or strongest
