Thank you for continuing to share your life on board a cruise ship. Enjoying these behind the scenes, day in the life of, week in the life of…. And I appreciate how simply you share, it’s low key, never over the top, just being yourself🥰
“we use 2-3 pods per load”… I can assure you that unless your clothes are caked on with dirt or grease.. one pod is all you need for a large load regardless what the container of pods now suggests. They didn’t used to suggest multiple pods per load.. and suddenly they do.. clearly they want people to buy them more often!!
@@afridgetoofar1818 no reason you can’t do both. It’s not an either or proposition. I’ve traveled the world and had great experiences while simultaneously saving for my future enough that I bought a house with cash before the age of 35.
I just got done with my RC cruise and to my surprise I was on your ship this past week. You and you boyfriend are very talented and I enjoyed the shows! The very first day I passed by the wifi help desk and didn't realize this was the ship you worked on lol. It would have been weird if I said something, although looking back I should have randomly said I liked your UA-cam videos.
Krista I was onboard last week (Oct 6-13) and just want to say that I loved your main show Once Upon a Time (as expected). Shout out to Robert, especially for his role in the Pinocchio section.
It technically does get taking out of your paycheck. Part of your “pay” rather they say it or not out loud is room and board, it’s one of the reasons why the pay is crap for the hours worked (XXX hours actually worked divided by pay)= a whole lot less then a person thinks per hour.
Love your videos! I started watching from the beginning of your channel before you exploded now and have such a following (congrats!!!). I love cruising and love how real and down to earth you are. Hope you keep continuing to grow! :)
$200×4=$800/month so it still could be a rental depending where you live with everything included minus the food. Always put pod in first then laundry and only ever use one per wash and leave wiggle room or else the machine will be off balanced and really make sure the door has a tight seal before usage because it also means it will not was your clothes either.
I love this with the transition! You need to do more of this I know it's hard but it's amazing!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Wow!! I spent 200 usd in 2 days hahahahahahaha!!
loved the Flow Rider surfing, you're a natural 🤣. Yeah, if I was CEO of RCCI id give all crew a free hour a day. $200 a week thats not too bad. I spend about that getting to the office and having a sandwich and bits for lunch 3 days a week and that is a lot less fun than coco cay.
So thats great you get to experience so much traveling and adventures in different country's and cultures. How much do you get paid for your job there. It's a lot like being in the NAVY without the harrasment from your superiors.
That's what I was wondering? She has a nice cushy life compared to the grunts from the third world that do all the work. A cruise ship employee with a private room? WTH?
Could pick up yourself one of those starlink tablets! Definitely cheaper smaller and more powerful than ship wifi I’ve always thought it would be fun working on a ship for a bit! But my career as a photographer/videographer there’s not many options for me 😂
I wonder if that would work? I feel like somehow the ship would block my signal haha. And there is the photo department, but I'm sure it gets repetitive taking photos of families all day!
Enjoy life while your young. Great that you go ashore a lot. I guess the longer you do the cruises and go to repeat destinations the less you will spend.
Question: When you were in Europe did you get to be tour bus escort because that would save a lot on seeing the sights? Having been on cruises all over the world, I found the video very informative. Do it while you can! 😎
hey Krista. For those interested in working on a cruise ship, you brought up a good point - how would a new crew member pay their bills back home? I'm going to assume automatic withdrawal of their monthly bills. How does this work out? Thank you.
It's such a wide range between all positions, the cruise line and the specific ship.... but for Royal Caribbean you could make anywhere between $2,500 and $10,000 a month depending!!
First time viewer here, very interesting. Probably previous vids show what do you do on "shownights "?? No concept of weekly expenditures vs weekly pay...booooo !!
We have insurance included while we are on board! Minor things are taken care of at the medical center here and bigger issues they will send you somewhere on land! I always forget to mention that haha
Living your best life while doing extraordinary things costs a little bit of money. You would regret it if you ended up back on land full time and hadn’t taken advantage of your life on board!
I hope this doesn't sound snobby but $200 a week seems cheap to me actually! You are doing amazing. 💝💝 If i could, i encourage you to save in an IRA and max it out. Then you could pick another place to put/invest some more money. If you are able to save 15% of your income for later you'll set yourself up for success 💝 I'm in my 30s now and I'm really seeing my investments grow from my 20s! Dreaming about retiring in 20 years! 🎉
And it's a dream that actually seems attainable 😄 not trying to overstep but I wanted to share. You might just have the best of both worlds right now, great travels and also great potential to save. Good luck!! ❤

What the heck kind of garbage company do you work for that would allow that type of laundry room to remain broken? I'd be really careful about eating the food on this pile of junk super econo ship. EDIT: OMG, I 100% forgot to put a massive /SARC...I'm sorry. I was trying to be funny and screwed it up...Have a great week
You spend that hard earned money! Your job is very difficult and on top of that you are away from family and friends, going off the ship pays for a sense of normalcy and sanity. Also just think of the people on land paying at least $1500 a month just for rent, so you’re good gal!! 🫶🏽💫
YOU ARE YOUNG!! Spend the money that makes you happy, you can always make it back. Memories are priceless ❤❤

Could you maybe do an updated what I eat in a week living on a cruise ship? 😍 Or maybe rating crew mess meals? 😂
It’s good to save but also have some fun! It’s also interesting on how much you spend in Europe vs Caribbean!!
I agree! And right? I was shocked haha

Its expensive in the Bahamas because the majority of what we have gets imported from the US and then heavily taxed
On Voyager right now
Will watch when we get home in a few weeks
But I’m sure you’ll do a great fun vlog

I’ve never seen it but I’ll have to check next time we go! And thank you! 🤗
Pods from Sam club it's there brand it's like 120 pods for 20 bucks
Interested on what other benefits you get from Royal - medical and 401(k)?
We get medical but everything else I have to do on my own. Not sure about other departments though!
Working on Royal Carribean. 😊
Question: When you were in Europe did you get to be tour bus escort because that would save a lot on seeing the sights?

We usually just did our own thing. Lots of walking or public transportation!

Exactly! Just set everything up before you go basically!
Why does nobody never ask? How much do you even make on a cruise ship? What’s the average salary at six months? How much money do you usually have?
Is there a website or video or something I can checkout to get started to work on a cruise ship? Like where do I apply or fill out an application?
I would just search each cruise line and scroll to the bottom to the career tab and see what’s listed!

Good memory! Haha yes we do have a house that’s being rented! So we do have an occasional expense with the house

Enchantment of the seas!
How about medical/insurance? Did not know if you covered that. Thanks in advance.

Do you get your own cabin or have to share?
I share with my boyfriend!
Do yourself a favor when you connect to public Wi-Fi use a VPN!
I do! I use Surfshark!🤗
Can you do how you hook up during a cruise
Can you show your gym/ eating routine? :)
My spending on board is so erratic tho :), one week ill decide to save money then the next week I buy enough caffeine to feed a small village
Honestly same haha
Instead of paying that for internet why not just get a StarLink u can take anywhere?
As a Costco Travel Agent, I highly endorse you buying detergent from Costco.
Is it a lot of crew members that smoke
Question would be how much do they pay you lol saving money is wonderful but how much do u make.
Everything is more expensive on an island they have to ship everything in
Trueeee. Didn’t really think about that haha
~$33/day to enjoy life in these beautiful and interesting places 🤗
What? You don't buy SPAM at the Slop Chest? 🤣
