Why should I a homeowner now suffer because the tenant can’t pay rent? Y’all do realize just because they did not initially get evicted, it’s doesn’t mean they can live there rent free. They still owe the rent. It’s just put off and once the eviction process starts they will owe all that back rent and then what?

@Hi My Name Is The ignorance is not saving for the future for when times are bad as they are now and then going online whining about it, crying for help from complete strangers. It's a harsh truth but it's the only real solution as it's a hard lesson to learn. As an example, our clothes dryer has no heat so today I spent the past few hours trying to diagnose/fix it. I'm getting a F1 code which means the main circuit board is bad. I pulled the board and looked for an obvious problem like a blown capacitor or burned solder joints/circuit pathway that I could easily repair...there was nothing. I looked online and was able to identify the heat circuit relay and jumped the wiring to see if that would do it, it didn't and when I put it back together it was still putting out the same F1 code. I looked online and a new gas dryer will be at least $800 plus another $44 tax. I'm going to try to get a new circuit board for under $200 and fix it instead. Now, I can easily afford a new dryer without even breaking a sweat but I'd much rather get several more years out of my 14 year old one for 1/4th the cost of a new one. The bonus is that it's more environmentally friendly and I don't have to have anyone in my home during a pandemic to deliver and install a new one. These are the things that help you save at every turn.
I have to disagree. My parents were in the landlord renting housing business for a decade. However a few years they wanted to get out of the business because of rotten tenants who never paid their rent/utilities bills and trash the places. As well, I have had to help my parents (who had regular day jobs but ailing health) with the unpaid rent, bills, repairs and damages. Then when my mom passed away, that didn't help because that was one income that my dad relied on. So my sisters and I, we got involved in the finances. What people don't understand that banks are no charity there are business. Its private landlords like my parents and I have to deal with when the mortgage isn't paid. I don't work a fancy job or drive a luxury car. So please don't paint me as a bad guy or a heartless human being. At the end of the day, it's my dad, my siblings and I who have to take this financial burden when people can't/don't/cheat there way out of unpaid rent/bills. We have to pay our mortgages, bills and put food on the table.

Because someone decides to rent their property out does not mean they should take a loss if someone is unable to pay their rent. If your circumstances change, you should adapt. Your first comment doesn’t match your second comment 😐 claiming people are not wanting to work which by the way isn’t just because they can get a few more dollars it’s also due to protecting their health against Covid, not having sitters for children etc... but that’s not your life so no one else situation matters if it’s not like yours on that High Horse of total BS 🙄🙏🏼☮️🇱🇷
@Just Alex I am sorry but I don't know what to say about renting a place but you have to pay rent or a mortgage..I suffer through it so you can do it to
This is very sad.A young woman, who works and lives a simple life. And no help for her,yet free housing, food, medical for illegals, drug addicts, etc- I have been homeless almost 4 years. I asked for help, the first time in my life, at close to 60 years old, after losing 2 long term party time jobs. They went out of business within 2 months of each other and I couldn't find new work in my area.i also don't own a car.i had taken in a roommate couple in hopes i could save my home, even though I hate living with others. They stored paying rent and wouldn't leave. Social services told me go find a job. As I sat in their hallways for 2 1/2 months, watching people who don't speak a word of English being handed everything.i had even offered to pay back the 2 months rent i was asking for, in installments. I was evicted with my hospice animals in the middle of an ice storm. We ended up in a tent hidden in the woods in a local park. Like this young woman, once you become homeless, things change drastically. It's almost impossible to find a job. I will keep her and others like her in my prayers. Please do the same for me.
Do the landlords really find new tenants to replace the evicted tenants or do this location just stay abandon and become a target for squatters or parties.
Depends on the area and circumstances. Sometimes the rent was way undervalue but it's hard to raise the rents. Once they've found a way to evict them, they'll spruce up the place and get someone who can pay much more.
I feel badly for a lot of people, but this woman comes across to me as an opportunist, a gamer, who lost. I feel badly for her kids and the thought they might have to go back to living with her someday. I'm not a landlord, and people like this make me grateful for that fact.
Apply at Grocery changes like Walmart and grocery stores. Also apply for foodstamps on line and over phone. For example, go to Starbucks and see someone on a computer and asked to apply for foodstamps. Also in your situation you both can get an appointment in the office. Goto fullcart.org for free groceries.
Her kids apparently are better off with their father, because he clearly pays his bills. Again she had child support and a paycheck. SHE CHOSE TO RIDE FOR FREE DURING EVICTION HALTS.. no excuse she put her kids at risk..
She's holding that man's property hostage. It isn't the owners fault she can't pay. Most landlords need their rent to survive too. If the government cared there would be programs from HUD to keep her rent paid. It isn't fair what has happened to both sides. He needs a new tenant and she needs 2 jobs. It is what it is.
It has been scary to keep afloat. My significant other left me, I had to take a job that paid $3.50 less an hour and now my student loan is going into repayment in February . I almost lost my home but I contacted the mortgage company and they temporarily lowered the payment and now I’m going through a program where the lower it permanently by about $200. I don’t know what I’m gonna do for groceries but I’ll figure it out. I just hope nothing else goes wrong so I can stay in my home. My heart goes out to her.
Umm actually its communism that did this, if we still had capitalism this lady would have her old job and not get evicted.. You have your "cause of this" all ass bacwards pal

So the home owner should suffer above the tenant? 😳🤔🤔🤔 No. Eviction sucks for EVERYBODY involved. The lost rent probably sunk the landlord too. Why is nobody seeing THEIR side too???? Landlords are landlords for help in finances not for the fun of it. If they were well off, trust they wouldn't bother with the hassle of renting ✌

My lawyers said it's a terrible scam, alot of the states have. They only allow people to pay once or twice a year on taxes. People should be able to pay monthly.
Eviction process is Lanlord: 60 day notice court complaint You: File answer to complaint (Look for fee waivers) Prelimanary hearing Somewhere along this process you request a jury by trial. (Landlord has to pay for the jury and selection process) Hearing set Show up to your hearing and present your case (dress well and only answer when spoken to, keeps answers short and on point) If you lose the landlord must serve you with the judges decision and hire sheriff to come evict you. You will be served a 5 day notice to vacate. You can file a motion to stay and be granted extra time to stay. And file an appeal if you wish. If you lost this will drag it out a very long time but eventually you have to leave
She's really doing what she has to do! Take notes, she lost her job due to the pandemic and went to work at Family Dollar the same week! Yes, she makes $4.50 less, but some money is better than no money, and she can work there while trying to find something that pays more! She sprung into action and I respect that.
"Make it as hard as possible" for the landlord. This is the kind of mentality that put people into poverty. In the old days, people spent their time thinking how to work hard and become successful. Today people spent their time thinking how to be able to work the least and take advantage of other people through the legal system. It's the US government that introduces policies that encourages laziness and poverty. 10 months into the this thing. If people had spent 10 months thinking how to get themselves out of trouble, most people would have settled in a better situation. But 90% of these people sit comfortably with the hope for free housing and food stamps and Christmas welfare checks. Mentality and discipline determines your destiny.

Find a new place and be with your babies.... The landlords can't afford to pay bills if they aren't getting rent... 2 sets of victims here.. the tenants are wondering what stress the landlord feels with no money and extra homes to pay for . Both parties feeling stress
When she knew she couldn't make her rent, she should've called her landlord and worked out an end to the contract rather than getting an eviction on her record. It would've been cheaper in the long run for both the tenant and landlord. Any place she tries to rent from now will either deny her outright or charge her a higher deposit.
Exactly!! People think because your a landlord your rich, that is not accurate. I told my tenants to talk to me if they lose their jobs. Have a discussion on what they can pay. We will ride this out together, Our mortgages keep needing to be paid with or with out the rent!!
So
Nobody’s life is promised old man. Humble yourself
He's one of those landlords
You mean the type who don't like moochers?

THE MAN IS RIGHT THO, NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE. HE DID HER A FAVOR GIVING HER THE 10 EXTRA DAY AFTER THE 10 DAYS..... I MEAN HE'S GOTTA MAKE HIS MONEY TOO. AS OLD AS HE IS HE PROBABLY DEPENDS ON THE HOUSES RENT MONEY FOR INCOME. YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT IT AT BOTH SIDES. ITS SAD SHE HAS TO GO THROUGH IT BUT SHES NOT ALONE, SO MANY AMERICANS ARE GOING THROUGH IT TOO.
You never know what people are going through the judge no one I hope god blessed her and her kids
Just like the landlord, he probably needs the money to pay bills but people want to feel sorry only for the tenant that can’t afford rent
@Swimming Dolphins nobody looks at it from that perspective, only from the person that claims to be the victim
So sad:( you never know what life will bring!!!😣
Locksmiths are like taxi drivers. Rip you off, talk bs and think they are a necessity.
Right💋💨
I feel for ya. I went through that for two years. Lost my house. I gave it a good fight. My house was paid for. It was property taxes, behind I was. My lawyers said it's a terrible scam, alot of the states have. They only allow people to pay once or twice a year on taxes. People should be able to pay monthly.
Eviction process is
Lanlord:
60 day notice
court complaint
You:
File answer to complaint (Look for fee waivers)
Prelimanary hearing
Somewhere along this process you request a jury by trial. (Landlord has to pay for the jury and selection process)
Hearing set
Show up to your hearing and present your case (dress well and only answer when spoken to, keeps answers short and on point)
If you lose the landlord must serve you with the judges decision and hire sheriff to come evict you.
There are some unbelievably strong and resilient women/ mothers. They deserve the highest respect.
I would hope the father of the children, her ex, would help out the mother of his children at least on a temporary basis.
Women (girls) need to pick better guys.
Why should the father help the mother? There may be a reason she is a ex-wife
@@wendellgreenidge3362 For the sake of the children; so the children don’t suffer.
He won't...and what does that say about her? Nobody gives 2 rats asses about our struggle. We make it or break it on our own.
My heart breaks. This is unbelievable in America!💔😢
Girl.....
Here is the problem, Republicans have people out the door of their homes, it happened during Reaganomics!
Wow!!!! How stupid!! Please stop sharing.
@@bethriley9757 Yup, people like you never face the fact, and choose to be stupid and lazy, and blame others for your failure to try to take some advantage. That kind of advantage never last long. But with that mentality, you'll spend your lifetime living a lowlife.
@@tingli9823 I said stop sharing. Can't you follow simple instructions? You have no clue what my situation is but you made a judgement, that tells me you are a selfish, small minded, greedy person. Now, again PLEASE STOP SHARING!
@@bethriley9757 And you don't know what I am going through either, and you formed a judgement of me being selfish, smallminded and greedy. So you expect other people to care for you, and you don't have to care for other people? Homeowners are having a financial hemorrhage. A ton of them will lose all of what they spent their live striving for. They will lose their home too, and suffer all that renters suffer. Just that they don't deserve it if not for the change in "rule of law."
@@tingli9823 and as you said, You have had 10 months to save yourself. Be safe.
The tsunami of evictions about to transpire will have devastating consequences. Imagine, millions of homeless added to the streets across the country. I pray for them!
Currently happening.
Find a new place and be with your babies....
The landlords can't afford to pay bills if they aren't getting rent... 2 sets of victims here.. the tenants are wondering what stress the landlord feels with no money and extra homes to pay for . Both parties feeling stress
Ekkk the guy saying pay your way. It's not her fault
Millions more to come in 2021.
Most landlords will work with you if your making an effort and trying your best to pay at least part of your rent.
My landlord raised my rent. 100 during all this and I am on social security I am 70 don't think I can work as I have arthritis in my hips and hands everything has gone up was barley getting by as it was now have to figure out what to say!
@@joanburbank3755 depends of landlord..
This lady has a fantastic attitude, and she will succeed in life, no matter how long it takes her. She sounds like a smart, responsible woman who has had some setbacks and will be OK.
I'm a landlord who tried to work out something with my tenet...she hasn't paid rent I'm struggling to pay for both places my family and the rental unit for my tenet ....with this pandemic no one is spared unless if you want to cheat your way out and that's what we just found out about our tenet, she works full time and shes a manager she said she had her hours cut, we found out that shes still working full time and just bought a new car a jaguar to add to her BMW, we have given her a notice to vacate and for us to move back to our home coz we can't afford to continue to pay for her, she has real guts to cheat her way, she hasn't answered any call or text, now I have lost my rental unit .......i feel bad that this situation has gone downward spiral and a loose loose for every party involve.
That’s definitely not right what she’s doing! Don’t worry it’ll come and bite her in the ass soon enough!
Should be two ways..U help..I help..But..But.
I guess man don't really understand is women sacrifice their career to be balance and that mean doing your own business that can fit even in our circumstances, I have 3 young children who are less then 5yrs n I'm working and if we decided for my wife to stay home n make the rental like her income and raising our kids at the same time plus that the rental unit is still paying mortgage at the same time what is so bad about that....it was like her source of income and it should not be shameful if the law permits such law, she's finds pride and dignity in making decisions for that renatl....now tell me should I send my wife to work because her business didn't work out n let our children get exposed to the virus n more vulnerable to abuse etc when we get caregivers for them....the point is my agreement with the tenant was black n white by law....now I don't see a problem of doing something within what laws allows, thanks my friend for being helpful.my wife lost her source of income .most of the rental income went to mortgage rental insurance n repairs...she gets extra 300 from that which she was happy to take n buy herself or kids a treat....she saves the rest for rainy days....n that savings was what we have been paying the mortgage for now plus what I make...my friend there's nothing wrong with hard work raising kids and paying debts but allowing and making room for evil individuals to be excused is not a good cause in life because thats allowing bad behavior to be normalized.
Wheres dad?
Hahaha! Funny!
Women are so good at making choices, its good to see examples of how strong and successful they are
....No husband, single with children and no provider, plus stuck in a minimum wage job...But yet she still trying her best to look like she's a strong independent woman who still doesn't need a Man..Ha!..A Real success story!.. Lol!✌☺️

She is employed and I think the landlord should have done a new and temporary contract. Now he will have to paint, repair and relist this house. There are no guarantees with the next tenants. Most women in this country are single.
The kids are with the father, she said it twice
To the land lord,:
There is no winner here. It’s likely another renter may be put in the same situation as this girl. The next time, they could destroy your property.
To the renter, life is hard and our government needs to look at the situation and suffering people are going through. I’m so sorry you are going through this. I truly wish I could help but I can’t financially.
Prayers to all.
I WOULDNT HAVE THE HEART TO THROW SOMEONE OUT ON THE STREET BECAUSE OF THIS PANDEMIC !! WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THIS !!!?? THIS IS SAD AND SHAME ON THAT HEARTLESS LANDLORD !!
Because if they don't pay the bank the house will be foreclosed on that would ruin their credit and the bank would end up throwing the people out anyway and have you ever thought that one day you just might want to sell the house you're living in and move into one that you own that you're renting so why don't you buy me a house and pay the bills
@@Mike232-j2p I UNDERSTAND ALL THAT BUT STILL ITS HEARTLESS
I was this person. Let the people stay with promises of paying so not only am I out 4k in rental payments that I needed to pay but they did over 9k in damages minus the eviction cost s
Which alone was close to 2k because I had to to hire 10 people to clear my home within 2hours because those aholesleft all of their belongings and only took what could fit in their car. Guess who had to pay to haul off their shit? So you know what. F having a heart.
We now know you do not have any rental property. Why is it you people think us landlords need to provide you people a free place to live?
Well sweetheart we all know you have no rental property
Still don't understand why you didn't pay your rent. You had government money coming in to make up for it
Why did she not go on unemployment and just get the extra $600 a week? She could have gone to rental assistance specially with kids. But she depends on the homeowner to tide her over?
From what she says she's busy making a stance staying as long as she can to aggravate the landlord. After seeing that video I would want her in my rental.
