I'm watching this from my laptop in Manhattan. I was just where was Tamika was, eating outdoors at a restaurant with a friend. The city--and the US---is not the same, not even close. 1 in 4 people here is unemployed. Homeless people walk up and beg for money, some are aggressive. The subway is empty. The office towers are dark and 90% of restaurants are at risk of closing permanently without government support. We Americans got a one-time $1,200 stimulus check and then our politicians forgot about us. Yet when corporations and the richest Americans need help, Congress is right there to bail them out, especially the big banks. Let this be a reminder to everyone: be careful who you vote for. Make sure they have empathy and solidarity. Otherwise you too will be left behind in the next crisis.

@@lucaslu3297 dr. Fauci in march said the masks dont work unless they're N95, and most people dont wear them correctly, and it makes them touch their faces more, which is worse than no mask. This is why Trump is flippant on the masks. But nonetheless, I agree. Trump says dont let the cure be worse than the virus itself, and hes right. We need to open up. If anyone is afraid, they can stay home. Let everyone else live free.

@Hashan Sampath...well...she can always get some of "her friends" together and do the same as those she ran into. Plus they keep blaming everything on the coronavirus. But it's their "reaction" to the virus that's destroying everything. If they didn't make such a media frenzy about it people would go on as usual. It's the media...!!!!

Covi shows how stupid the masses are in believing in a lie. Mortality rates have been replaced by "case numbers" and the economy tanks resulting in mass poverty. Next the government will offer a debt jubilee to all affected. But in turn you will all become slaves to universal basic income and loss of your personal rights and property.

I was living in New York back in March. I graduated theatre college there 2 years ago. I’ve barely gotten started on my career. I lost my job immediately & moved back in with my parents; with the stimulus I was able to cover the last few months of my rent - my landlord was a very nice watchmaker who owned only 2 units above his shop, so he was struggling too. Now I’m still living out of state, working and saving up to move back. It’s very hard to find performance work right now but thankfully artists are adaptable. We will bounce back. I’ll be looking out for Tamika when the theatres open back up.

Hello... MANY waiters/waitresses ARE artists! And they KNOW that one has to work VERY HARD rehearsing and perfecting one's craft. And artists DO NOT get paid very well (until they "make it"). Ever heard of the term STARVING ARTIST??? Ding, ding, ding!
Ask a professional dancer how many hours a day she/he rehearsed (before the pandemic) and how much their salary/rehearsal pay was.
And we actually NEED art. It's NATURAL (for healthy humans) to want to create, see and be inspired by art.

This is indeed true, its Agenda 2020 New World Order. Before the pandemic happened just 6 months around April 2019. In my hometown in Las Vegas where Executives, Managers, and almost all in the leadership positions were called to resign, terminated, dismissed. Then major CEOs such as American Airlines, MGM Resort, Disney, IBM, Hulu, Linkedln, Volkwagen, Ford, Victoria secret, etc all step down BEFORE the pandemic. I don't believe anyone is stating back people are weaker, subsequently more likely to get ill. It is in my view a question that black people have a higher rate of heart disease, diabetes, front line employee, and more likely to live in lower income neighborhood. Combining all.this plays in the ability to fight virus and increases possible complications.
Black people aren't weaker but living situation increases negative outcome.
