- The Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) witnessed a momentous occasion on December 19, 2024 as the Hon'ble Union Minister and Chairman of IIPA, Dr. Jitendra Singh, inaugurated the *Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Convention-IV* on the theme ‘Growth Drivers of Viksit Bharat @ 2024: Amrit Kaal Vision.’ The convention brought together experts, policymakers, and academics to discuss key strategies and frameworks for building a developed India in alignment with the nation's Amrit Kaal vision.
During his visit, Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized the importance of people-centric governance and innovative public administration reforms as critical drivers of India’s growth trajectory. Addressing the participants of the convention, he highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to achieve sustainable and inclusive development.
As part of the day's events, the Hon'ble Minister also *planted a sapling of Rudraksha* in the IIPA premises, symbolizing the institute’s commitment to environmental sustainability and holistic progress.
Adding to the institute’s growing infrastructure, Dr. Singh inaugurated the state-of-the-art *new IIPA Bhawan,* a facility envisioned to enhance the institute’s capacity to facilitate research, training, and dialogue on governance and public administration.
In a significant milestone for IIPA, Dr. Jitendra Singh released two notable publications:
1. *"People-Centric Governance - An Indian Perspective"* authored by S.N. Tripathi and Neetu Jain, offering insights into governance models that prioritize citizen welfare and participatory policymaking.
2. *"Public Administration - Traditions and Reforms"* by S.N. Tripathi and V.K. Sharma, which explores the evolution and transformation of public administration practices in India.
The event underscored IIPA’s role as a thought leader in advancing the discourse on governance, public policy, and administration.
