    I use floor sections as catwalks above my production floor with steam splitters, then run down from there to the machines. It really helps keep things tidy.
    Having a separate "Steam Plant" from the production floor helps as well.

    Don't forget the stone decorations for some awesome walls

    Nice video and your base is way cleaner and more organized than mine. By the time I've gotten to multiple smelters, constructors and combinators, I've just got pipes going all over the place.

    Not sure if this works, might be worth a try.
    Build your setup with lots of space around you.
    Remove all foundations.
    Make a temporary floor half a block lower than foundations.
    then build your copper pipeworks.
    Then just place back the foundations.
    Pipework should be hidden

    You can definitely mine the trees for wood and that's a good thing because otherwise wood is hard to come by in the underworld.

    Gold ingots = Easy money
    I'm guessing that you need the more advanced smelters if that exists because the regular automated smelter doesn't make gold ingots, but setting up a dozen of those smelters made of stone gets a lot of gold ingots. I've found a couple of gold deposits of 50k in my seed so far. So putting automated drills on one gets you a lot of gold ore quickly.
    And your base doesn't need a beacon if you have your mission board there. You can lock onto that. 😉

    That big green glowing thing you came across was a emerald node.

    Keep in mind what you're mining right now is finite. You'll exhaust it and move on to another node. Don't get so caught up on making it perfect when it's inevitably going to go away when you have to find another node. Also - just make sure you have enough supplies for a few turrets before you leave your base and then don't be too worried about enemies. Go into a new area (or get dropped into one)? Just place down turrets while you figure out where you are and what's there.

    That no jump thing happened to me once, so far, I ended up going into key binding settings and rebinding jump to space. If the dev's are watching... ;)

    Sorry, drills and ore storage are horizontal only. If you figure out a cheat, let us know! Again best to build personal stuff lowest with big stuff up top. My PSA. 5:40 16:05 21:30 You need to *click on the ground* or *click on stone above* make a point then easy to control pipelaying. Don't build all in the air. Also works with belts. (With Pipes it is) Easier to dig a small hole one time click on the holes with the pipe next to machines and fill or replace holes or foundations after *all* pipe completely placed. Bury all pipes underground this way! 12:20 And you *do* know they have enemy spawers buried underground that *you* found in a previous episode, right? (Also potion making is for healing, and ales in barrels are for selling until advanced learning.)

    For the ale is for an upgrade. Do you get later that goes into a turret but you can automate it and sell the barrels for gold in the auto market thing

    Heya Kage, the pipes might need a wall like a manifold or scaffolding you can remove afterward.. seems it’s looking for it.

      Yes very useful when you're underground and running around using a pick to get stone is a hassle.

    This game needs adjustments needed since a lot of bugs and other issues. 1.) currently pipes only refund 1 ingot back no matter how long you make it(I assume it's same for belts). 2.) it's possible for the jump button to glitch out removing your ability to jump. 3.) you can't snap wood and stone together yet. 4.) enemies can see you a bazillion miles away and path almost impossible paths to reach you. 5.) pipes won't connect to other pipes already connected to an input/output.

      Also a tip have a blacksmith dedicated to each functional item. So 1 for cogs, 1 for iron plates, 1 for copper plates, 1 for copper pipeworks. After that have as many as you need for making copper dwarven goods although if set up properly is best automatic gold generator

    • @stuff5392
      @stuff5392 15 днів тому

      I've seen most of these same issue. #5 - I think I know what you mean on this one but am not sure. It's like if you had a splitter attached to a smelter with a copper pipe and then you deleted the smelter, the piece of copper pipe just hangs there and is useless, because you have to actually delete it and create a new one from scratch.

    There's an on-screen tip during game loading that says the building hammer allows you to MOVE items. But there's nothing in-game that verifies this. I've tried all kinds of combinations and can't move items. Anyone figure this out yet? Best I can do is use that "copy" function and put the new one where I want it then delete the old. Which is fine, but isn't as good a a MOVE function when you want that.

    I can't see to keep my base safe, I wall it off with stone foundations and somehow they kill the blocks from the outside to get in.

    • @stuff5392
      @stuff5392 15 днів тому

      Mini turrets is the answer. I use at least two for every door, which is their primary focus when, unbeknownst to you, they follow you from 15 miles away and they show up at the door you used to enter. I also space a few around the walls and big equipment. I achieve this by building out at least one foundation past my walls and then placing turrets. Also it keeps many of them away because with the turret up on the foundation it has a good chance of killing them before they get very close.

    Anyone else experiencing severe lag once you get a decent industrial base set up, or 2 or 3. I've played the game into the late-game stage twice now, and each time I had great graphics, good frame rates, and overall good responsiveness while playing on Ultra. UNTIL that very last phase. Then it starts getting laggy, sluggish and generally unplayable. I've tried all the usual things like decreasing the graphics quality, but it does not help. Even putting all settings to LOW does not help, which doesn't make much sense to me. I realize the game is early access and not well optimized, but this is crazy. Other recent games like Soulmask and Once Human don't cause this same issue. They look great throughout no matter how much I've progressed the storyline or how much I've built.

      Seems that way, I've gotten every upgrade but the $10 million factory automation, I don't see it used in anything else.

    Ummmmm Enclose your base and outer drills with walls. And yes build up top and terraform a massive flat space and wall it off.
