Tough call? She fouled her about five different ways.
She got her hand on the ball first. Calling a jump ball there myself. Can't really call it a block, the ball was never released there.

Crooks was fouling her first. Same crap Crooks got away with in the last game.
@@WutTheDeuceGaming she wasn’t straight up, and it was both of her arms contacting the shooter’s left arm to a much greater degree than what they had on the ball & definitely wasn’t ball first as they reached across the shooter’s body (look at the slow-mo).
Then, they grabbed the shooter’s right arm on the attempted re-gather.
Multiple ways that could’ve been called a foul as the original comment mentioned.

Do you know how that shooter shoots? It can kinda look like what they were in the motions of doing here before they had the defender’s arms splayed across their arm & body while they were doing it where they then obviously couldn’t finish getting the shot off.

It was a foul that was totally avoidable. If Cameron Brink had just held her hands straight in the air, she would have either gotten a clean block, or drawn a charging foul.

Was a shooting foul and shouldn't have been a tech as you can clearly see her mouth " f off " to the ref as she walked off the floor.
Looks like a clean block initially… but the refs called the reach in.
I dunno… slow-mo has it looking like her arms were making more contact with the shooter’s left arm than the ball for pretty much the whole thing (while also not being straight up… they went across the shooter’s body, practically, in front of where the ball actually was per the shooter pulling the ball back before they went up.)
Then, on the the regather attempt, she also ends up grabbing the shooter’s right wrist and got them off balance.
Multiple points of that play had potential to be called a foul.

The second act is where the foul takes place, but I'm not certain the first act isn't a jump ball. She got a hand firmly on the ball first during the initial act. Everything else is incidental contact, her left hand does come in on the wrist after she stops the ball, during that first shot attempt.
It's close, but I think they should have called a jump ball there. I think she did enough to warrant it. I ain't arguing the second act, that's def a foul.
Tough call to make, I agree with that much.
Hand firmly on the ball (questionable; look at the slow-mo) as they have both arms draped over them (instead of being straight up) making contact across the shooter’s left arm the whole way (more contact than what they made with the ball, one might say) on their way to reach for the ball as the shooter attempted to shoot the ball.
That’s a foul, not a jump ball. You may say it’s close & it initially wasn’t a foul, but it doesn’t seem like the common consensus here (for those reasons above.)

That was a jump ball and I'm glad she told the ref f-you. The refs need to be more consistent and let the players play. The South Carolina team can foul, hand check, go over the back, taunt, and commit excessive fouls without penalty. They were allowed to brutalize North Carolina without fouls being called while other refs called touch fouls on other teams.
