Chicken Wraps 3 Ways! McDonald's Copycat Recipe! Noreen's Kitchen

- Greetings! Here is a really great way to duplicate the highly promoted "McDonald's Premium Chicken Wraps" that seem to be everywhere on the internet. They certainly do look good, but the only problem is that they are truly fast food that is full of fake ingredients and questionable contents!
I decided to have a look at what they offer and duplicate it for you. These are so simple and so delicious. The sauces are the key and you can make those yourself with no problem. I have used Katzcradul's recipe for ranch dressing mix and I made a double batch of dressing, which ends up being a quart. We eat a lot of ranch in our house so this will probably last about a week or two.
The wraps all have chicken, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes in common. One has bacon, they all have cheese and they each have a different sauce. One has a traditional ranch, one has a zesty garlic ranch and the last one has a sweet chili ranch sauce. These are easy to make and they all come from one base dressing with a few added ingredients for the last two.
Chicken Ranch Wrap, Chicken Bacon Ranch with garlic ranch dressing and a sweet chili chicken wrap with an amazing (and I mean amazing) sweet chili ranch dressing. These are easy to put together and when you make them yourself at home, you do two things. You save money and you control what goes in the wraps.
I poached my chicken, but you could feel free to grill or pan sear yours. This was what was easiest for me because I cooked mine from frozen. You could even use a rotisserie chicken that you pull the meat from. Any way you choose is going to be great!
I hope you give this one a try and I hope you love it! We can always use some great ideas for quick and cool summer meals that can be made in a snap without a lot of work or a lot of money!

The sweet Thai chili sauce is mildly hot but sweet and tangy like spicy sweet and sour sauce, but nothing near as hot a scirracha.
My 5 year old was super excited to see this. She loves chicken and loves to be healthy so she said this is a must do for mommy...I agree!!
I can tell you what you just made is a million times better than anything you will ever dream of getting at any McDonald's! I had a 'healthy choices' (which is a menu we have in Australia, not sure if it's also in the US), and it looked like someone had just pulled it out of the garbage bin out back and served it to me. Still can't believe I actually paid for that crap.
I swear you have everything I could ever imagine wanting to make. I am a sucker for watching someone else make what I'm going to make for dinner, just so I'm more excited for it, and tonight's menu is chicken wraps! I knew I could count on you to keep me company while I made my own
Tried these and they are awesome!..I don't use paper towel..I eat them over the sink like a caveman.

These look great & you can use this idea & go crazy with variations. I used to not really like Tortillas but since visiting Utah so often I have fallen in Love with anything with Tortillas. One great Wrap we have down here in La is at Popeyes. It is a Fried Chicken Strip with Red Beans & Rice. So good!! Thanks for the inspiration.
Well they are very similar. They have all the same ingredients listed on their website, with the exception of additives, preservatives, added plastic that goes into their meat, high fructose corn syrup and other things such as proplyene glycol which is the main ingredient in antifreeze. So yeah, mine are nothing like McDonald's version, but in a good way. You are free to enjoy whichever one you like.

I would just use them from the frozen state. First I would toss them with a bit of the dry mix and set them aside. Make the mix as directed them fold the powdered berries into the batter. Tossing them in the mix first will help them not sink to the bottom.
When we eat out, we usually will bring home a pizza. If we go "OUT" to eat it is at a couple of local places that are family owned, one is a fine dining place called Morgans Pub that is out of this world, they use locally sourced ingredients and we love it. The others include a place called Famous which is a Greek restaurant with amazing Gyros and we sometimes enjoy Chinese from a little place up the road. Very seldom we enjoy Texas Steak House.
I have never been more in love with any food ever but paying 4 bucks every time I want one is a little extreme. Thank you so much for making this!!

Yes, I know this. But When I look on the McDonalds website it is described as a "creamy garlic sauce" I added garlic to my ranch. Anything creamy and cold is basically a mayonnaise base anyway. Kill two birds with one stone. I am not trying to make an exact replica of what is made at McDonald's anyway. Just sharing how something similar and MUCH healthier can be made at home with on hand ingredients. I am not trying to compete.

Yes, I know this as well. The website clearly states, sweet chili sauce and creamy garlic sauce. At home I mixed the two and added garlic to a ranch as my base for the garlic sauce. It kicked ass. Much better than the high fructose and hydrogenated oil laden crap that they put on the McDonalds version. Home made is always better, but we all like fast food. I am trying to show people they can make this at home, cheaper and healthier than going to the drive through.

Watching in 2020 because I haven't had one of these wraps in 7 years and they are now discontinued! The sweet chili was my favorite and now I want to make them!

Tortillas need just a quick warm up on a dry grill or skillet before filling so they won't be gummy.

I honestly LOVE these. I have tried them all with all my different salad dressing in my house. 15 seconds to put together and better than a sandwich! Love them!! The best dressing I've tried is kens steak house sweet white Vidalian onion! On them!!! I best salsa would be great. Thanks Noreen

Not only would it be cheaper but also the calorie count is probably a lot less than McDonald's. I haven't had one of these or checked the calories but did have the ones they had a while back and now we make those at home also.
Yours look delicious. I heard the McD ones don't taste very good and aren't worth the money. I bet yours are wonderful! I'll make some of the ranch dressing mix soon. I love knowing exactly what's in my dressing rather than getting bottled stuff whenever possible, too.
Those Wraps are Huge!!! lol I would probably use half the amount of Chicken on mine, but my Husband would like the amount you use ;)

We read an article about McD's agreeing to use GMO taters from Washington State - have you heard that? Mr. Kroc had agreed not to use gm products years ago. Just wondering if you heard anything about that???

you said you poached your chicken? how do you get it tender? my chicken is ALWAYS tough no matter how i cook it. maybe i cook it too long? i am always worried about getting it done enough. i was also curious if your girls show any interest in cooking, my girls didnt want anything to do with cooking until they got older and left home lol
