Falcor makes me think of a Chinese dragon which he probably is based upon. The Chinese didn't regard dragons the same way the Europeans regarded them, which was as potentially evil and destructive. The Chinese dragons were considered divine beings who were wise. Some emperors even went as far as saying they were descended from dragons, how I don't know but they did.
"Having a luck dragon with you is the only way to go on a quest!" "Gee, thanks Falcor.... you know my best friend and loyal steed just died, right? No, but thanks for basically telling me I'm an idiot for going without you."
@@kfcdealer69 He is a luck dragon, but more so, Falkor resembles a dog. Kind of like the family dog that likes children, is protective over them and loves ear scratches. So there is nothing 😳 about this. As a kid Falkor was my favourite character in both the book and the movie. So even as an adult I get a feeling of happiness when I watch this scene.
Ahh, the luck dragon...I just saw this the other day on TV...brings back memories. Ya know, for 1984...the special effects in this movie were pretty good
thats exactly how kids get molested... when they ask you to scratch them, you RUN!!! that was the most uncomfortable nostalgia, i've experienced all year. thank you.
totally. I Think it's crazy that the same guy voiced the most beloved , memorable, cute , kind majestic character that EVERYONE remembers and loves the world over AND the most evil sinister terrifying forboding werewolf ever seen on screen and is more creepy today than in that era because of what he says That's some crazy sh^t I guess bravo Mr Openheimer !
Ahegao face at 1:22 in. You're welcome.I'm posting this in the year 2020. This is a helluva year.... blame this year for what I just did to you. 2020 spares no victims and has no mercy!
It would had been funny if they made an alternate scene where after Atreyu asks "for breakfast?" Falcor would say "Well, sure but that's no reason to try to sneak away. I can fly after all, you know ;) "
I'm still amazed that only a few years ago, if you wanted a Dragon in your movie you had to have one built! I can't help but think that if they tried it in todays movies they could make something really spectactular looking, but instead they rely too heavily on CGI all the time! Puppets and Animatronics always look a lot more believable; it's really a dieing art!
did you know if you have a pet and you say the magic words, then they turn into a big falcor version and they talk and you can ride them around in the sky for fun?
I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw that. I bought the movie because it was one of my favs growing up. this part I was like WHAT !!!! he is my fav character but now I may have to rethink that.

everyone always asks me "what is that big pink fluffy dog?" and i'm like "that's Falkor he's a luckdragon" i swear that is the one think everyone remembers from this movie and i have to explain it all ova again...i know everyhting and anything about this movie
Look at these marvelous puppets and animatronics. CGI can't compare with these. Falcor and G'mork for example just don't look right without these effects.
Fuchur is the german name (The book has been written by the german author Michael Ende). I think Falcor sounds better in english. Last week I visited Falcor/Fuchur in Bavaria Film Studios in Munich. It is even possible to buy a small version of him ;-)
No I didn't die, but I was an American lost in a foreign country, I met a family that was like Falcor. They saw that I was out in the street. They invited me in for dinner and let me stay there for awhile un til I got enough money to return to America. It was good to have friends like them who offered me friedship. He even let me help him cement his driveway, and in return he bough me a ticket back home after months of being out in the ciold. You see the Scots beat me up, left me for dead.
He's ADORABLE. But if he winks one more time I'm gonna die...
One of my favorite all time movies! I love that line, btw "Never give up, and good luck will find you"
What does that mean?
Roots. U got the bend.
This such an adorable scene. It reminds me of a boy spending time with his dog.
Harlem Globetrotter

In the book, Falcor IS a Chinese dragon, no doubt about that. In the movie they made him dog-faced.
Everyone knows when a doggy gets too old, it like a good scratch behind the ears. Poor Falcor.
I LOVE THIS DRAGON with all my heart when i was young i wanted to have FALCOR as my friend to fly wherever i wanted!!!!!!
Falcor always showed up in my nightmares :-/
Oooh, brings back great memories!
Loved the movie, and just read the book a few months ago, loved it even more.
Classic

"Unfortunatly yes . . . But I LIVED!"
am i the only one who wanted to ride falcor and keep him s a pet and NOT be creeped out by him?
Ahh, the luck dragon...I just saw this the other day on TV...brings back memories.
Ya know, for 1984...the special effects in this movie were pretty good

Yeah...this definitely has creepy vibes to it.
"I like children."
"For breakfast?"
Lol!!!
Amazing that the Rock Biter, Falcor, and Gmork were voiced by the same actor.

now that i am older, what in the hell was i lookin at as a kid...this was my harry potter back then
HEEEY fun fact Falcor was voiced by Alan Oppenheimer AKA the voice of lord Skeletor

"I wast just....just going to...I was trying to..."
"Sneak away?"
"Yeah....I MEAN NO NO!"
Epic win.
Is the best movie of this years 👍👍👍✨✨✨
It would had been funny if they made an alternate scene where after Atreyu asks "for breakfast?" Falcor would say "Well, sure but that's no reason to try to sneak away. I can fly after all, you know ;) "
You guys gotta watch it again then! Such a great movie. Then watch 'Big Trouble in Little China' high-5.
I love Falcor he was my favorite.
Falcor is hilarious.
9891 = prime number

Sin lugar a dudas la película más hermosa de todos los tiempos

My friend cried after seeing this scene
Falcor is infinitely better than Fuchur. That just makes me think he's called "Fucker"
I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw that. I bought the movie because it was one of my favs growing up. this part I was like WHAT !!!! he is my fav character but now I may have to rethink that.
