I grew up in N Ogden and as a kid we lived on Ben Lomond. One of the coolest things I ran into is a mine with tracks and a small wheeled cart. On the way up there is a small concrete canal. All of this, hiking up the center of BL. When you get to the verticle face that in the middle of BL on the left and up the side of the mountain is where the mine is. I believe they mine silver.
When I was a teen, we would hike all over the canyons. There is a mine at the top of Perry canyon. It goes back about 150'. I think that there is one at the top of Pine Canyon too. Pretty sure that I've been in that cave you found today. BUT... It's been since about 1975-1976 since I've been up there and there were so many of them. Many were dynamited in the 80s-90s. If you can get access to Perry canyon Use to be open, but hear it might be closed now), it's a great hike. Especially if you can get someone to drive to the top of the mtn and meet you at the small pond at the top of the canyon (Willard Basin) at the end of your hike from the bottom. Then drive back home and stop in BC at Peach City for a burger, fries, and a great milk shake.

Sounds like a really good day. I will have to see what I can find about those canyons. It's time to branch out.

For shame Tim, where's your gloves 🤔. I always have them with me in my pack, you never know. Great video! Thanks again.
I know! Even if I'm only a few miles out of town, it's best to be prepared.

Do you ever get your buddy in there ?
He checked it out, but didn't get much further than me... We both think it's just as far as we can see.
