- The 2025 UK University Rankings are out and theres been some big changes to the rankings this year. UK universities have seen a shift in their places with many top UK universities moving down whilst smaller UK universities have caught up to them! In this video I review the full UK university rankings, giving you my opinion on what I think of the UK rankings list and the evidence to back up my views.

Definitely agree with that, the same subjects are very different at different unis.

Wow, why the hate on Surrey? Their Computer Vision and AI is incredible. Almost 20 papers in CVPR, one of the top conferences in the world.
I was just joking but I was definitely surprised to beat so many top unis. The uni is definitely doing something amazing to be ahead of Manchester, Bristol, kcl etc. people won’t appreciate it until they hear more people like you talking about it! Enjoy your time there!
They did Edinburgh and York dirty. Edinburgh should be top 10 and York top 15
I agree with those, they seem to rate Loughborough/Lancaster too high imo
Do you think city’s ranking could go up in future due to the merger with st george’s?
The only real thing in terms of rankings that would help is the number of applications/avg entry requirements because it does medicine. However did you see where it ranks in student satisfaction (check soas section)? That pushes it waaay low down the rankings.
But at the same time things will change during the merger: Improvements, efficiencies and a new uni culture would be established which would slowly increase it's position over time.
I would like to know if cranfield university and its management were ranked along with these universities where do you think it will be in the rankings?
Its graduate destinations/salaries would boost it to around 30

What is your opinion on Portsmouth and Winchester uni? They are my ideal choices as they do my ideal courses. I am thinking of doing a masters at Warwick after but I’m not sure if they unis will set me back in terms of employment or getting into Warwick?

Sir I would greatly appreciate your advice. Do i retake a-levels and actually put in work to get all a stars (which I know i can) to then apply for russel group unis or do I go city for economics (I have a place for next year) and try my best to get a first class honours? I don't know if it's worth the money and time to resit. In my mind if I'm proactive at city and get enough experience I can still be a respectable candidate when applying for the top firms.

Go for Surrey if you’re looking for just which uni will give you the better chance. However you will need to study a stem / finance subject to stand out

do u think i could pursue a role in chemical engineering with bio chem maths at a top uni or should i have taken physics?
Those are the great subjects. Do any degrees ask for physics? Unis mostly care about only two out of the three subject , even in medicine if you have biology and chemistry you could study art as the third one and they'd be fine

@@CertifiedTalks The Uni itself is amazing and the facilities are very good as well, especially for a small uni. The teaching is top notch, honestly as an LLB student i was expecting a more of a 'do it yourself' attitude but the lecturers ensure to explain everything well; but the admin is atrocious taking forever to respond to even general queries and on top of that a lot of students are not happy with the new management of soas specifically Adam Habib
I've been to soas a couple of times for events and I agree it's decent. In my London value ranking I put it quite high tbh but I feel your point about admin and uni responsiveness is something that holds it back and you have to put up with it for three years.
