    This is One of the BEST Videos I have seen when working with Concrete. The worker really knows his SKILL Exceptionally well. I learned so much watching this video. It is entertaining and educational. Giving it More than 10 PLUS STARS.

    I installed tile for 20 years in Toronto, but watching concrete being installed is very satisfying. Maybe I will get a job doing this. I am now doing my own walkway at home and this video was very helpful. Thank you !

    This is another great video on concrete . There are so many details involved with concrete , you can never learn everything by watching one video . If you are just getting started in concrete , ya gotta watch many . One extra thing I learned from this video is the difference between a steel and magnesium float . However , I would like to know even more about what makes each of these operations different .

      have your stakes below the level of the forms so you arent having to work around them.

    Not a bad job, for others wanting to learn how to finish concrete this is where you should practice with your hand trowels. Also allow the concrete to dry before brooming. Thanks for posting vid!

    What do you think about putting gravel under the concrete to prevent cracks. Is it necessary?

    • @Take_And_Make
      @Take_And_Make  4 роки тому

      Yes, to make a proper base you need to remove top layer soil(black dirt) and put 3 better 4" of gravel, water it and compact it with a plate tamper.
      But it will crack anyway if you not gonna put your control joints(cuts).
      Good luck!

    • @Take_And_Make
      @Take_And_Make  4 роки тому +2

      Ideally you need to remove all black dirt or top soil from where you going to place concrete slab or sidewalk. Than spread and compact 3-4" layer of sand or better road crush(grovel). Put your forms up(Use 2X4) and space your 10M rebar at 16inch on center. Good luck!

      It all depends on how wide is your piece, for a sidewalk put it every 5 feet, for a driveway every 10
