- Here’s my opinion on how you can get a job in an estate agency in the UK.

I am 17 years old about to finish year 13 in June next year i want to get into estate agent business as a trainee I don't have a driving licence what should I do go to university and then get training or get my driving licence and do something else like a online course and then work as a trainee or is there another method which I should use to get into the business only realised this year I wanted to do this type of work

I had an admin job 10 plus years ago in an estate agents so I do have abit of an advantage and I am doing lots of prep work. Good luck with the interview. The best bit of advice that I could give at this stage is to prepare properly.
Find out about the company, this history of the brand, the ethos.
Look at how many properties they have on their books, study the quality of their listings.
Obviously ask for things like education, training and career prospects.
You can never be too prepared, I’m always impressed when someone comes to interview and they’ve taken the time to learn about the company.

@@chrishamill5746 I wrote some brief facts about the business and wrote my interview questions and answers. Read them over and over and was quite surprised at how relaxed it was. I didnt get asked any questions was more general chat about the role and my current job. I find out Friday anyway 🤞🤞🤞 Thankyou for the advice 🙂

Hi Chris! Thank you for the informative video. I am really interested in starting a career as an Estate Agent. Can you explain the typical working hours and do you have to work every weekend?
Hi. I’d say that the typical hours would be 9-5:30 but you only get out what you put in. Saturdays are crucial and in the modern world where everyone wants everything instantly you need to be flexible. If someone wants to go and view a property at 7pm on a Tuesday then you do it. I hope that helps

What is estate agency like with the current state with coronavirus ? I have an interview for estate agent and wondering how I would work if I get it during lockdown?
Also would the number of demand for houses change after lockdown? How would it affect an Agent?
It’s been difficult but hasn’t everything! Also it depends if you’re going for a job in sales or lettings. In our area lettings is still really busy

Hey, thank you for this video! I hope you don't mind, but I have a couple of questions.
I'm currently doing a BTEC extended diploma (equivalent to 3 A-Levels) in something that isn't related to business or estate agents. I'm looking to sign up for one of those online courses, though. Would I still be able to try and apply for a trainee job?
Also, what level of education do you have to have completed to be considered?

same exact situation i done a btec in engineering but i want to do estate agency work i don't want to go university my plan is to do a online course and remember you need a driving license and a car so my plan is to get my license apply for a online course and work part time until i have a car and apply for a trainee job

Yes if you don’t work for a boss
