@Love4NailArt-> Just for fun, every time you make a glitter mix you should dump what falls on the paper into a container. Then when you have a full one, tweek it with acrylic powder to see what you get.
So glad I found this video. I just started doing my own nails. I do dip style acrylics. I have no idea what I am doing but I am getting better. I love glitter and was wondering if you can use regular glitter with the acrylic. Thanks for answering that. Great video.
+Brandy H I buy glitter sets off of eBay, from walmart and places like joann fabrics. Most glitter works, on occasion some of the darker colors bleed, that is why I suggest testing small batches first.
That is a good question. I have never tried. This is personal opinion here, but best guess would be yes you could mix it. BUT the thing with dipping acrylic would be get lumpy. If you could attempt to apply the glitter smoothly to the nail prior to dipping, I think you might get a better looking end result.
+Angelica Aguilar Yes I agree with @stineabrahamsen. The pink, regardless of how soft it is will dull down the glitter effect of the mixes. I wouldn't recommend. However if you are making a purple/pink glitter mix with a soft pink acrylic, while it might not have the high reflections as with clear, the mix could still be beautiful as it gives it a slightly jelly like tone. Best way to figure out if you like something or not, it just to try it and see!
can i just say to anyone mixing acrylic with glitters or colour, . please always one part glitter or colour and 3 parts acrylic powder,. best way,. and always works,.xxx love to ya
Jen O'Flaherty "Yes" Thank you. That is the proper ratio. The acrylic on the nails will not be strong enough with a 50/50 mix. No disrespect to anyone, just trying to be helpful.
+aviana guerra it really does depend, I purchase alot of different types of glitters, none which say for acrylic mixes.... but with this I have taken a few losses as sometimes certain types or colors bleed into the mix once you apply the monomer. If you can find glitter meant for making/mixing acrylic that would be better than say craft glitter.
My all time FAVORITE acrylic nail brush I purchased from Nailiteinc.com and it was the #12 Okasa kolinsky brush, sizes vary depending on your acrylic system & preferences.
+Sharon Gaughran I've tried a variety of different craft/cosmetic glitters. It is hard to say, some work great while others might bleed into the acrylic mixes. Only one way to find out. Test it and make really small batches so that the acrylic doesn't get wasted.
I mostly buy glitter off of ebay. I have in the past bought glitter from amazon, and joann fabrics. Some of the best holographic glitter that I have bought was a jar of glitter that comes out with the wet n wild halloween collections. I cant wait for halloween, I am all out and need to restock!
Can you mix with every kind of brand? I have a pink powder from a website and a white powder from another brand, and I want to mix it to get a nude color, but I don't want to mix it if something could went wrong. Please help:)
+maya carstensen Its hard to say, some brands work well when they mix and others do not. Id test it out by make a VERY small batch just to see the consistency & workability of the mixture.
my daughter did her first mix, when she applied it to the nails it was put on very thick because she was afraid of when she buffed & filed it would tear some of the larger pieces of glitter. Should that be a concern? because it seems it would have a top coat on it anyway.
+Keyani Reynolds I purchased it at walgreens around halloween. It comes is a tiny glass bottle and is made by wet n wild might be a part of the fantasy makers line, it has been awhile since I purchased some.

I know it has been a long time since you commented, but these dry mixes I made are just clear acrylic and glitter. In order for you to use this product to create beautiful nails you have to apply these glitter mixes like any other acrylic product by dipping your brush into monomer before dipping it into the glitter mix, it becomes wet and then you can use it to create great nails.
Sorry for the super late response, I took a break from youtube to get things in my life back in order, and I unfortunately gifted any of my misc supplies to my niece who just started to get into doing her own nails.
Your mixes look better than most of the mixes I've seen for sale. They are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Diane January you are very welcome!
@Love4NailArt-> Just for fun, every time you make a glitter mix you should dump what falls on the paper into a container. Then when you have a full one, tweek it with acrylic powder to see what you get.
I might have to try that at some point in the future, thanks for the idea!

+chelsi poor thank you

+Brandy H I buy glitter sets off of eBay, from walmart and places like joann fabrics. Most glitter works, on occasion some of the darker colors bleed, that is why I suggest testing small batches first.
They are so cute but I have a question can you mix glitter with dipping acrylic?
That is a good question. I have never tried. This is personal opinion here, but best guess would be yes you could mix it. BUT the thing with dipping acrylic would be get lumpy. when you mix with glitter ..is there. certain amount of each?
I love it I am going to try it
good luck, let me know how they turn out for you
quick question do u always have to use clear acrylic or can u use the soft pink or the regular one does it matter that much
The glitter will not show as much if you use any other than clear🙂
+Angelica Aguilar Yes I agree with @stineabrahamsen. The pink, regardless of how soft it is will dull down the glitter effect of the mixes. I wouldn't recommend. can i just say to anyone mixing acrylic with glitters or colour, . please always one part glitter or colour and 3 parts acrylic powder,. best way,. and always works,.xxx love to ya
Jen O'Flaherty
Exactly. Powder. Ratio is 3 spoons acrylic powder/1 spoon glitter
Jen O'Flaherty "Yes" Thank you. That is the proper ratio. The acrylic on the nails will not be strong enough with a 50/50 mix. No disrespect to anyone, just trying to be helpful.
You could also just do a really thin layer and then cap with clear acrylic. :)
Your nails are super cute
thank you
Great video I subbed ;) Where'd you get the OPI Acrylic ?
are the glitters like any kind of glitter or there ment for mixing with acrylic??
+aviana guerra it really does depend, I purchase alot of different types of glitters, none which say for acrylic mixes.... but with this I have taken a few losses as sometimes certain types or colors bleed into the mix once you apply the monomer. I like that it was coo and I liked your nails as well
thank you Haily! I really liked that nail design as well.

Haily Duran
I have many videos, is there something in particular you are looking for?
best acrylic brush? I'm struggling to find one I like.
My all time FAVORITE acrylic nail brush I purchased from Nailiteinc.com and it was the #12 Okasa kolinsky brush, sizes vary depending on your acrylic system & preferences.
hi do u need to use a type of glitter ie craft glitter im in ireland and glitter mixes are really expencive this would b a lot cheaper for me
+Sharon Gaughran I've tried a variety of different craft/cosmetic glitters. It is hard to say, some work great while others might bleed into the acrylic mixes. Only one way to find out. Test it and make really small batches so that the acrylic doesn't get wasted.
I loved thank you
I am happy that you enjoyed this video!
can you mix glitter in the same bottom as the acrylic powder
Christiana Wilson yes but I wouldn’t use a full one and once you mix it that’s it cuz there goes all your acrylic
Where do you get your glitter
I mostly buy glitter off of ebay. I have in the past bought glitter from amazon, and joann fabrics. Some of the best holographic glitter that I have bought was a jar of glitter that comes out with the wet n wild halloween collections. I cant wait for halloween, I am all out and need to restock!

might I add she's using chunky glitter
holographic glitter to be exact but any of them
it would be better to apply it thin and encapsulate in clear.
I agree you need to cap the glitter in clear acrylic.. so its protected and filing won't mess it up. plus it will be smooth
cap the glitter mix using clear powder, there fore you won't grind down your glitter
hey do you mix them with clear acrylic powder? x
+Muñeca Lopez thank you :D
Where did u get the silver holographic glitter from?
+Keyani Reynolds I purchased it at walgreens around halloween. It comes is a tiny glass bottle and is made by wet n wild might be a part of the fantasy makers line, it has been awhile since I purchased some.

I see glitter mixes and clear acrylic powder we're do you creamy part to it. You mentioning monomer glitter mixes it powdery how does it get creamy
I know it has been a long time since you commented, but these dry mixes I made are just clear acrylic and glitter. Thanks!!! :-)
Too much mixing isn't good. Makes it look like a nasty mess. not cute. Some of the simpler mixes were cute tho
Amazing thank you!
