I'd rather have the Guerrilla. I like singles. Much better looking bike, too. I like the bars and round dial, the shape of the tank. Everything, really. Nick

Absolutely agree! Once you saw both bikes in person, it becomes clear. The Guerilla is so much better looking! It is just a bike everyone likes while the CF is rather average.

Sean, I have been a follower of your channel since you first dropped your BSA and am a certified fan boy. My intro is to assure you I am not trolling or whatever the negative activity is that is practiced so commonly on social media. In your comparison of these two machines, it occurred to me that there is an element missing in almost all bike reviews and the thing that might help distinguish one bike from another that share many similarities. Namely, dealer network, parts availability, service schedules; oil change and valve adjustment frequencies, are factory maintenance manuals available to the public and how easy is it for your average home mechanic to perform these rites of passage. Cost of ownership might also be a thing that would add value to a review.
These suggestions may not be practical to UA-cam protocols.
Thanks for your insightful video, I've always enjoyed your hard work.
    Best,
    Richard

Not really a bike reviewer, eh? More of a jump on and blat about for 10 minutes, gain only superficial impressions. Better than some though who sit in their garage and show you their logs 😅😂😅😂

Thanks Richard. That's great advice for a reviewer. By the way i welcome comments like this, feedback is the only way you improve. I should say however, I'm hesitant to fully comment to bike reviews as it were. I suspect they are now saturated in the market. Channel is a bit of a mix of everything currently...

@redDragon I actually would consider being called a 'bike reviewer' a bit of an insult😉, I am very much a jump on and waffle on, it's meant to be fun not technical. There are plenty of proper reviewers out there already. Oh, and the man who talks in his garage about his wood store is well loved by many so watch out 😂 we'll get the pitchforks out and chase you outta town 😅

I was interested in this one as soon as I saw the title. Aged 70 now I know that sadly my time with my beloved 1979 Guzzi Spada (owned for 17 years) and my 2018 Triumph Street Scrambler may be limited as I get older they get (it seems) heavier! These are reluctant alternatives but I know I'll probably have to consider something similar in the not too distant future. I can't say if either of these would float my boat but I suspect the Enfield would be my choice if I had to choose. The CFmoto sounds "buzzy" and frantic and a bit cramped compared to the more torquey and roomy Guerilla. I'm not in the market just yet but thanks again for a good comparison road review, much appreciated. This has become one of my favourite channels on the tube.

Very difficult to judge a single against a twin they both have such different characters as you know with your GoldStar. To me the CF looks like it's been designed for the younger generation and the RE for grown ups and as that's what iam, so it's the Guerrilla everytime for me.

Hi Sean, as you know, I am a huge fan of the Guerrilla (yes biased). I honestly don’t feel, any vibes, what I feel is connection. I feel the bike, through the bars, and footpegs. If it was vibration, my body would ache, but it doesn’t, even after many hours/miles. That Sherpa 450 is the star of the show, as in the Himi 450, riding using the torque is so much fun, and the gearbox is so slick…rapid clutchless up shifts are so smooth, just time backing off the throttle slightly, with the upshift, is a joy. The exhaust note improves with mileage too. The handling is superb, as are the tyres. The brakes are fantastic, especially the rear……😊 Being a high revving big single, with kind of strange gearing in the lower gears, you really need to ensure you have the right gear for the revs/speed…..otherwise it really doesn’t like it. It really is a bike which demands to be ridden, like back in the day….it doesn’t ride itself. For me the only things which let the Guerrilla down, are the dash….which personally, I would prefer it to be analogue, and the lock to lock on the steering, there just isn’t enough. I know RE had to limit that due to the tank not having cut outs to accommodate it, but it is just a slight bug bear, having to do a three point turn, where normally you could just spin in one. Cheers

No competition when it comes to looks. The cf looks naff. Im also partial to a single cylinder too. If cf moto put that engine in a better looking bike it would be the winner hands down. Great review by the way (aside from the sound issues) 👍

Im 64 /5.7ft and wanted a light, lowish cheapish urban bike for mainly city use and after looking at all the similar cc options, RE, Triumph etc I bought a 450nk. std low seat 795mm so i fitted higher seat which is more cushioned, more comfortable especially over potholes and this seat does not push your groin into the tank like std seat. (flatter near the tank)
The engine is well balanced and eager, its std exhaust sounds great esp with the burbling and small pops coming down the rev range, shifting is easy and bike is so involving I feel energised riding it! Yes snatchy and needs clutch management at very low speeds but hey.....

My main concern with a Chinese bike is the history of substandard parts, cutting corners, and lack of quality. Sure it's cheaper, but you may end up paying more in the long run. I just have never seen China produce anything of quality, be it cars, bikes, consumer products etc. Royal Enfield, though plagued with build quality issues in the past, has really turned things around and now make rock solid reliable and easy to service bikes.

Royal Enfield all day long not in anyway knocking the CF moto .Just think for me the big single wold be a little less tiresome on longer journeys but that revy twin in the CF is a strong performer. I just think that Royal Enfield dealer network and customer care is a lot more established. I feel that strong performing lightweight mid capacity bikes are always an affordable do it all option and make more and more sense in today's UK

Had a 450NK, great bike. Traded on a 800NK. Anyone looking at a 450NK should consider the 800NK - only slightly heavier and twice the power/torque. Also own a 450SR-S - a great bike if you want something sportier.

Having done a CFMoto demo day event a few weeks ago I'm surprised how vividly I remember my demo ride on the 450NK. Geetting off my GSX 8S and directly on the 450NK I was very impressed and have to agree with all the nice things you said about that bike. At 5'8" I was very comfortable on the 450NK though I imagine if you were much taller the peg to seat dimension could get cramped with only slightly longer legs. So not for taller riders IMO or carrying a passenger (I wouldn't have the heart to ask someone to sit on that back seat!) but couldn't think a anything else about the bike that wasn't excellent. I was also impressed with how much you comparatively liked the RE. I find the Guerilla very attractive and interesting but figured it might suffer in comparison to the super smooth 450NK. Makes me wish they had bike rental companies 'cause I'd happily spend some of my money to get to spend a day riding either of these bikes!

It's funny that while car rental is common in comparison it's hard to rent a motorcycle outside of a holiday destination. I expect it's insurance and the differences in rider ability and all that. Shame as I would rent a different bike on the weekends if I could!

My choice would be the CF Moto the sound and look is more integrated the RE Gorilla looks parts bin and shed built.

Given Chinese international business practices, I would say that the probability is very high, that CF moto is getting considerable state subsidies to be able to undercut western makers. They do it heavily in many industries - in particular EV vehicles. So I suspect this explosion of Chinese motorbikes on the western market may have similar background.

@@MindfulMotorcyclist Good comparison Sean. Plenty in there for us to think about. I think you think deeply into all bikes you test and are interested in. I am all into mechanical s and useful features. My 2 negatives on the CF would be the absolutely useless pillion seat. Its pointless and a better design could have making it into a secure compartment for phones and gloves maybe. Also i totally agree about the can noise when you blipped the throttle, sounds great, and the kids will love the the popping. Trouble is me being mechanical, popping is unburnt fuel exploding which means its not as economical as it should be or its mapped incorrectly. I think some manufacturers possibly do it on purpose but i prefer something that runs as perfectly as it can. I think i would lean towards the enfeild for quality but the chinese will catch up no doubt. P.S the jerk on the CF also proves its not mapped correctly and will possibly give engine management lights and issues after a few thousand miles.

Why does that CF Moto have to be so pig ugly? It looks cheap, tacky, and plasticky, as well as having styling (?) only its mother could love. No doubt it's a good engine, but does it have to look suck a mess?… and as for that dash: sorry, but it looks like an afterthought, lazily slapped on the front of the bike, with lights, graphics, etc. on the screen reminiscent of one of those awful kids' video games.
The 'arse in the air' pillion looks about as useful, and as ergonomic, as a brick shaped tampon (and probably as comfortable too).
Of the two bikes, the Guerrilla wins hands down on stance, and looks alone (it too has a well thought of motor which has received plaudits from its use in the latest Himalayan, as well as from jaded journos at the new bike's launch).
