@@sourcethunderlight2723 Well to be honest I can see the point in phones, but in everything else, a battery should be easily swappable as it could be held in place with a screw. That would be possible on phones too but these pull glue stripes are okay to me

You guys could've covered in a step by step to disconnect the wire strip that connects the 3.5 jack to the controller board. Because in this tutorial moving step by step, even tho you pointed out the microphone, you totally neglect the wire to the jack, and flipping the controller guts out of the front plate is going to snap that wire for a lot of people unless it's clearly pointed out.

Only problem I had was the very first step. Could not pry it open. Where i could, I used my thick, long thumb nail and slid it across, and bam opened easily, no damage to my nail too. Other than that, I realized the inside of mine was not the same inside as yours. I noticed the outside did not have the symbols either, which was weird to me. This was the original controller from the box. I clean my ps4 controllers too so other than that and needing to replay on where pieces go. Thank you for the help.

I teared down my own controller to fix my Triangle button (successfully yay!) and i found one part on my pad after reassembling and testing everything. Your video confirms that it's just a speaker which goes unused on the pc. No biggie just less weight for me.

I have 2 dualsenses and one of them working good.
But the second has technical issue.
In 70% when I’m clicking on button X it’s also starting working button PS. It’s even when I’m not clicking on it.
And it’s really hard to play when it’s working PS button every time when I click PS button.
I tried to disconnect it but still the same problem.
I tried also mechanical reset it from backside of it but still the same problems.
I bought PS 5 2 years ago and dualsenses also.
Please help me to solve the problem.

I liked the teardown vid. Unfortunate that most important parts are only swappable by soldering iron. Interestingly enough I had this video and a few other PS5 vids saved to watchmaker cause I was waiting to get mine which arrived today (11/19). Fun fact I already have 3 controllers! Hope to never have to deal with any of them to an extreme level like swaping out throttle sticks. Battery I can do. Anything else, ph boy I'm scared. I have a soldering kit too from iFixit!

One of the best modular and repaiable hardware 👍 great work of engineering instead of glueing everything together.
To remove thise joysticks even u can use soldering iron and suction pump and can remove it very easily...overall very good design. I am expecting 8 out of 10 atleast 😀
