Even as a young kid, I knew Leafpool and Crowfeather were the parents as soon as the twist was revealed; not a good sign when a twelve year old can figure it out before reading the book.
Lol no you're ok ^^
I don't think it was about US discovering the "mystery" i think it more about the CHARACTERS discovering the mystery
i knew the entire plot twist around Dawn because of the fandom
I was 11 when I read it! It was so easy.
@@janeoathdragon5793 I wouldn’t think so. They’d just bore us to death, if this book didn’t already do that.
*THERE’S A MILLION THINGS I HAVEN’T DONE, BUT JUST YOU WAIT, JUST YOU WAIT-*
I remember reading about Jay Holly & Lion not being Squirrelflight's kits. It took me about a day after reading about that bit before I realised they were obviously Leafpool's kits. It was so obvious. Holly carried Crowfeather's trait with the black fur, like where did that come from?? (I always thought her having black fur was really odd.) and then HollyLEAF, that was another hint. Also, Crowfeather's eyes were blue and so were Jay's. It was a really bad kind of "mystery" bit of the book. I wish it was less obvious and harder to find out, then I would actually be shocked instead of just going "eh, ok."
3:04 THE COVER MATCHES THE BACKROUND Ö
Quietstar! Quietstar! Congrats on more than 10k!
Love your videos and your opinion. Keep sharing your opinion and don't worry what people think!
Dawnpelt, Flametail and Tigerheart are halfclan too, so I don't get why they wluld blame Jayfeather for being half clan. Tawnypelt was born in thunderclan, and Rowanclaw/star eas born in shadow shadowclan. The two cats have different blood/clan orgin thingies so their kits, Dawnpelt, Tigergeart and Flametail are halfclan, and yeah Tawnypelt became a shadowclan warrior but she has thunderclan blood so,
*when you adore jayfeather and hollyleaf but despise lionblaze*
I skipped the new prophecy by accident and read the power of three first and I still knew 1/4 of the way through this book that leafpool was the mother cause it was pretty obvious
20:08
Me before: Hmm. That’s silly, and kinda funny.
Me now: AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! I GET THE REFERENCE NOW!! I GET THE REFERENCE NOW!!! **walks around the house laughing and slapping leg, now happy her friends gave her a whole new world of funny references**
My parents where upset for the ruckus I caused...NO REGRETS!
Frankly, when I saw this video, I was like "Sunrise? What's there to get mad about?" because I was trying to think about what actually happened in there. Power of Three was a huge dissappointment to me, and I only realized Sunrise was the book where Hollyleaf came back from the tunnels after seeing Hollyleaf's face on the cover. I guess I was so bored I wasn't paying attention..
Ah, Sunrise, I remember that book in 2 ways. I loved Hollyleaf, and the development she was having. I didn't think it was Hollyleaf at first, so I loved how that turned out. The thing I absolutely hated about this book is Sol, we've seen enough of him and it was so pointless to include it in like half the book only to have it be made pointless... Honestly if they took out the Sol part and worked more on working up Hollyleafs downfall, because it felt so fast and rushed because they left themselves very little time to do it.
To put it bluntly,
Hollyleafs Development > Actual impact on story.
Sols impact > Absolutely nothing.
ALSO, I wish they would have focused more on the fact that both Jay and Lion tried to stop Ashfur before his death, maybe how they feel confused and guilt? I'd imagine it would impact them mentally, coupled with the truth of their parents, and their recent experience.
I know this probably isn't the right video but I wanted to give my thoughts on the character of Lionblaze. Do any of you remember when Lionblaze was afraid that he might kill a cat, such as Heathertail, if he was near them? While reading those chapters, I felt like this was a good fear for him to have, but later the Erins just seemed to forget about it. If they would've kept going, I think Lionblaze could've been one of the greatest villains Warriors has ever faced, better than the villain Tenelleflower theorized Hollyleaf could've been! Once Tigerclaw (I'm using his Warrior suffix because of Tigerheart/Tigerstar) noticed what was happening with Lionblaze, he could've been back in the Dark Forest, training with the gang again! With his power, he would've been unstoppable, a much better villain than the ones we have now and the ones we had then. Most of them were driven by anger and ambition, which I just find is a bit over used in these books. Lionblaze would've been driven by fear of himself; wouldn't that be better? Lionblaze could've been amazing instead of the boring cat he is. Training in the Dark Forest so he could control his powers, and only end up becoming evil? People like me would've LOVED that! If someone ever rewrites Power Of Three like Tenelleflower 'rewrote' The New Prophecy, please make Lionblaze a villian!
Pastel Glitches But the whole point of his character arc was that he almost "turn to the dark side", but he first manage to go over his fear of killing Heathertail and take the medecine plants, than he confronts Tigerstar, but don't kill him, refusing to become this monster, and finally, he's the first to reject Sol's help, refusing to be use by another Tigerstar.
Tbh, an example of that kind of villain was Clear Sky/Skystar.
Yes, he wasn’t really a “villain,” considering he was trying to do what he thought was right out of fear, but that’s what makes him the sort of cat you describe; driven by fear instead of anger or ambition. However, the difference here would be that Clear Sky wasn’t influenced by something that could potentially feed him ambition for power, and the fear that drove him wasn’t of himself (well, partially later on), but for the group he was leading.
Lionblaze could be this kind of example, with the bonus of having powers; a cat who would train with strong warriors, thinking that powerful cats could teach him to calm his own power. This fear of his power going overboard and killing anyone would blind him to the malicious intentions of the Dark Forest, and he would have ended up honing and using his power for evil instead, as he consumes himself with his fear of hurting anyone.
I didn’t really read TNP and Po3, tbh; I only got spoiled from the Warriors Wiki, so if I got something wrong, feel free to inform me on it. To put it short, I agree with your point on Lionblaze being a good potential villain.
Pastel Glitches I don’t k ow much about the warriors past the first series but; why would lionblaze become a villain if he didn’t want to hurt people?
Bina G I don’t know much about the series either, but I am a big fan of the prequel series, so I’ll use that to help me here-
*spoiler.*
Clear Sky was a cat from the prequel series who got obsessed over creating borders and keeping his group safe. It made him very ferocious. He killed cats over the borders he created, and was very hostile towards the cats he had traveled and fought beside formerly. He was driven by fear of his cats starving.
In this case, Lionblaze is fearing his own power, so really, he would hurt cats in trying to push them away.
Sorry if you didn’t understand me >~
Why did so many people here write SO MUCH?! I can't read for that much! :(

Warriors Cats
Tbh oddly I only cried at Briar's death
NOOOOOOOO!!!!
Wow, I really liked sunrise just because of Hollyleaf’s arc and kind of forgot about the rest. Now I realize how bad this book actually is. And the fact that the only things I remembered from this book were Hollyleaf’s death and Honeyfern’s death just further proves how bad this book actually is.
BUT! is it as bad as Outcast?
14:18 Sol will kill your friends and family

Do, do do do!
Second Hamilton commend I saw here
AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA I FOUND ANOTHER HAMILHAMMMMMMMMM
Da da de da da da! Da de da de da da da!
I just got bored 50 pages in and skipped the book. I missed nothing, picking up whatever I needed in the Fourth Apprentice. That's my main problem with the book.
EDIT: THE RAGNAROK REFERENCE KILLED ME
Lucia Eliade I got bored through like 50 pages too and so I skipped to the back and it sucked
Lucia Eliade XD, that Ragnarok reference, 10/10, best thing ever. Although, seeing that reference, all I see is Infinity War...
same. I missed sunrise, just found out what happened, didn't really care until Holly was thrown into the tunnel and read omen of the stars. although I cried when Holly died
My deadass read it but I forgot everything other than Hollyleaf’s section and Honeyfern’s death.
Then I thought that Honeyfern pulled a Ambermoon because I mixed up HoneyFUR and Honeyfern.
Lol

@Quiet Rage I feel so honoured now
Yessss
tennelle and quiet rage should rewrite warriors

Now you have 80 likes!^.^
And moonkitti
I would 10/10 read that
Im up for it
heh
i actually never read sunrise....
Edit: I actually did, but i can't remember shit from it
Heh, I actually never read warriors but I like Quiet rage😉
Lost Swiftpaw me too
You're not missing much
Didn't last that long?
Lost Swiftpaw that's sad
I love POT Hollyleaf, and I also love OotS Hollyleaf. Villainous or not, she is awesome. I can't be any prouder of your 10k subs!
Can I ask who liked this? I'm curious.
I noticed the Thor Ragnarok reference at the end, it was really funny
I got it too XD
You didn't read darkest night....THAT is easily the worst warriors book ever! I literally banged my head against the door of my room while reading it , and had to stop halfway through. Only after finishing river of fire i went back and skimmed through the rest. Personaly i really liked Tigerhearts shadow , but i also recognize the flaws that the book has and understand why people don't like it. I am currently rereading Dawn of the Clans and it is really good. Its sad to see that the erins still COULD write good books but choose not to.
Sadly Darkest Night is one of the more tolerable books of the back half of AVOS...
@@ladydead7001
VOS is the worst arc for me
THEY KILLED OFF THE MAIN VILLAIN HALF WAY THROUGH!!! WHAT STORY DOES THAT?!
@@beastmaster0934 warriors does.. for some reason. I loved the first three books only for the last three to be some of the worst in the series. Darkest Night was forgettable, River of Fire was filler and Raging Storm was just an incoherent mess
I agree because they send a patrol of 6 cats to get sol and it took about a moon. Later sol escapes FireStar doent care and doesnt try to look for him.
Me: WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THIS JORNEY THAGG TOOK A MOON IF YOUR JUST GONNA LET HIM GET AWAY WITH ESCAPING!!!!
Like if you agree
Um... Also the murderer in camp thing....
5:57 To be fair, the prophecy doesn't necessarily say "your grandchildren are the three", it says "Kin of your kin", meaning that it could have been a different family member, like Whitewing. Also, we were told this entire time Squirrelflight was their mother, and if we just found out she wasn't, then you could make the argument that the book jacket was lying to you the entire time.
But yeah, they should've done better covering it up. They should've made it more of a mystery.
Sure
Also, technically the prophecy didn’t say “birth kin of your kin” or something along those lines. Even if the mother wasn’t Leafpool or Squirrelflight, they’d still be kin of Firestar’s kin. Even if they’re adopted
I think sunrise has my “favorite” power of three book scene. The only reason if because I felt genuine emotion at the end of the book. The others just seemed bland and a bit off putting. But since I like to read out loud, I love the feeling of portraying all of the emotions that the characters had. I almost cried because I almost felt what they felt. Still, the only reason I like the book is mainly because of the ending. Loved the video!
haylee m. Yay I finally found someone who like to read warriors out loud!!
Same.
I think someone got into Mousefur's "mystery herbs"
Honestly I really like Hollyleaf, even now she's one of my most favourite characters. I always found her kind of adorable.
I cried when she threatened to kill Leafpool and then cried even more when she ran away. QwQ Was so happy to read Hollyleaf's Story and then Omen of the stars
sameeee I cried when she was thrown back into the book just to die
Random Person I am glad she died she is so spoiled
this channel is dead I’m talking about hollyleaf by the way.
Saaame
She’s my favorite of the three
Cause she’s not a dick like Jayfeather
Or a meathead like Lionblaze
To be honest, I love Hollyleaf. She was a coplexed and flawed character, she had a very strong principles she believed in and ,unlike her brothers mind you, she was proaticve character. She didn't just react to situations, she took action. And yes, her outburst in the sunrise wasn't a good thing but that just reflects how emotionally torn up she was and I love it.
Also I hated Ashfur so... I was with her there. He was emotionally unstable guys, he tried to kill four cats. It's a good thing someone finally cut him out before he harmed somone else. Also I think Leafpool deserved to hear those words from Hollyleaf while she tried to force her to eat death berries. Leafpool was a coward, unable to face her responsibilities and outcomes of her actions. She was not a good sister, and even worse mother.
everything here. is just beautiful. I totally agree with you thats why Hollyleaf is one of my favorite characters!
I don't get why people give ashfur pity he was a murder!
+Wolf Warriors productions but he didn't kill and hollyleaf did so why give pity to her touche huh ?
Arelie Bohm hollyleaf killing ashfur gave her the reason to flee to the tunnels and helped hollyleaf forgive leafpool, but Ashfurs reasons for attempt murder are unjustified (btw I know I didn't word my last comment properly)
Because I think trying to kill 3 people (cats) is worse than killing one psychopath who tried to kill you, your siblings and poses a danger to society, while also going through emotional trauma (and don't even tell me Ash was going through any kind of trauma. He was dumped. It happenes. People deal with it.) Both of these are wrong. But one of the above aknowlange their mistake. And the other one is still conviced that he is in the right, and was exused by some stupid 'he just loved too much' when he is clearly disturbed.
THANK YOU!!! I have been so annoyed by this book. Literally I wrote a whole entire essay with passion, Showing my hate for this book. First of all, you can’t just kill a main chat off like that. Now I am not saying that if your a main character you can’t die, no there is always a certain way to kill them but in a way where you either remember them or hate them. I may be wrong since I am not good at writing but even a child would be able to see this. Also this just leaves us on a cliffhanger with almost no way to go until the next book is published! A cliffhanger is usually a really good way to end a book in a series but again... in a certain way which leaves you with questions with some way to answer or guess with some knowledge. This book is really one of the reason why I got a bit more reluctant to read more warriors books. I rest my case, goodbye.
IMO Sunrise was a good set up for Omen of the stars but I can really see your point and I still want to slap Lion but Holy was heading up then crashed when Sol got in her mind but Tigerheart's shadow was not good but I say I definitely read worse and mentioning cannon Thistleclaw has three diffrent versions theres preOmen [an reckless and decisive Warrior] then Omen and after version of Thistle [An evil Insane war hungry prideful Tigerstar clone] then bluestar's prophecy Thistle [a Reckless noble Warrior who wants the best for his clan] which I prefer the last of the three which contridicts most of him but Omen Thistle could be corrupted by the dark forest absorbing him but the older info are better Thistle-s
I always thought of thistleclaw as the warrior version of broken star. Back before broken star was leader it seemed most of shadow clan thought the same of him. A noble warrior who wants whats best when in reality is too oppressed with themselves to care about others.
inhales; finally.
never have i ever, seen someone talk about this book. i have been complaining to my friends and anyone who would listen about this book since fourth grade. i havent watched the video yet, but what i used to complain about was the pacing. everything happened so fast, and i wasnt always sure what was going on. hollyleaf's character confused me immensely and i just wanted answers, that omen of the stars waited 5 books to deliver. im gonna actually watch the video now,, and see what you have to say uwu
im back, after watching the video- and well, i agree with you completely. of course fourth grade me would miss alot of bad things in this book, especially since that's when i had read it. im glad that, once again, im so happy someone's fianlly speaking up about this book. i knew i had found someone amazing when, all that time ago, i found the only video id ever seen complaining about one of my least favorite ships of all time; jayxhalf. then when i found out you liked dovewing, i was even more excited, and you were offcially one of my favorite youtubers- and you still are!! i remember feeling angry that you barely had any subs, but now here you are at 10k, and its very deserved! i hope you continue to make videos and grow because i aboslutley adore your videos aa ;;
Aaaaa thank you! It feels good to know there are other like minds out there! I hope I can continue to provide people a platform to discuss (and call out) these books!
HEY! I actually liked Hawkwing's Journey!
Otherwise, great review. One thing you missed was the cliffhanger. A cliffhanger is meant to give the audience suspense. There wasn't much of that here. RvB Season 13 shows us what a cliffhanger done right is.
Sunrise was not that great of a book in general, TBH. I think RoF is better in many ways (excluding the tigerjesus scene, of course. we can just forget that that happened), such as the way some of the characters (looking at you, Alderheart) developed. I still think recycling the book might have been a better use of the paper, though. At least then it can be converted into something other than energy.
I don't really have any gripes with Hawkwing's Journey itself, but when I heard Firefern and Stormheart supposedly died, I freakin' lost it. Harrybrook, of all cats, was the one who lived? No, bullshit! Also, I hate that SkyClan had the advantage of a diverse, healthy gene pool with kittypets and outsiders coming and going, yet the main character STILL ended up bumping with his first cousin. Why, Erin's, why?
The RvB season 13 ending wasn't actullay a cliffhanger, that was supposed to be the ending to the entire series. It was a gutsy move to try and get the audience on the same page as the deceased, whom will never know if it will ever work out. Sure, they continued anyway, but as it was originally intended to be the end, its still not technically a cliffhanger. That's why it works so well as a cliffhanger, ironically: they kept all the threads of the story in mind when writing it, and took all of it and wrapped it up into an extremely harsh metaphor. It wasn't just a severing of string just to keep the fans, and their wallets, on edge, it was *purposefully designed to be open ended.*
Sorry for the long rant, this is something that bugs me quite a bit.
“How it robbed my favorite characters of all their common sense and basic levels of intelligence”
**Coughs in Lost Stars**
(Before you flip out-this is a joke. I have no ill will against Lost Stars, Erin Hunter, or HarperCollins)
I feel like I’m the only person who actually really likes Hollyleaf! The code and order was what her life functioned on. She wanted stability so badly, that she would do anything to make sure her life would be stable and ordered. But she has flaws. She needs the order and code that functions her life, but to her, the code can be flexible. She’s willing to bend it if it means that she’s doing what she thinks is right. Even though she’s wrong, she still thinks that she’s in the right. She has flaws, and they’re understandable flaws. Everyone believes that by bending rules that they still care about to do the right thing they’re in the right. (Unless you’re a living embodiment of a Mary Sue). Also, she is so desperate to hold on to the code that she cares about so dearly that when she finds out that she is a living embodiment of breaking the code that she cares about she breaks down. It was actually really tragic to me! I really saw a lot of myself in Hollyleaf, and seeing what happened to her made me feel a little bit like this it what would happen to me if I completely lost order in my life. It felt awful, seeing a character I care about falling into near villiany. I dunno, I just really love Hollyleaf and feel like I need to defend her a character bit.
I learned all about most books and the overall story and spoiled tons of key plot points for myself so I felt it to be no need to get into the first books so I'm reading power of three I will get into the others later I just don't feel like em right now,
Funny penguin I know it is your choice but I HIGHLY recommend reading the first series at least. You will then see why everyone loves that series so much more than others.
Funny penguin Same- but I read the books out of order.
trust me, the first series is loved by the fandom for good reason
Don't trust these message, it's perfectly possible to not like it. It's even my least favorite arc in the serie.
Now, I'm not saying you won't like, but it's not impossible.
Same! I accidentally read the Warriors Ultimate Guide when I was still reading Into the Wild... so, yeah.
I stopped reading warriors at sunrise when I was a kid back when It was new, I didnt start reading omen of the stars until the last hope when I found out that firestar died from the internet.
my friends loved sunrise and I was the only one who was calling the book out for being boring for more then half of the read.
But with books like tigerhearts shadow out I can say I will forgive Sunrise as Tigerheart is way worse.
I read the skyclan super edition before this ark so When it came to the prophecy. When I read “kin of firestar’s kin”
I assumed it didn’t mean direct kin of firestar, but someone related to his kin.
So I started to theorize that it meant cats in the other clans. Sandstorm has skyclan blood in her so maybe one of the skyclan cats.
Squirrelflight and brambleclaw are mates now, making brambleclaw’s kin her kin by marriage. So what about tawnypelt’s kits? Or what if hawkfrost had kits before he died? A Hawkfrost kit would make sense to the warning about one of the three falling from grace.
But of course, this doesn’t end up being true, which is very disappointing.
Yo, congrats on 10k.
13:56
I thought I was the only one who was bothered by this. I'm glad someone finally addressed it.
I feel the same about those Sonic games!
Oh yeah, I started on the third book of the first series, and I got so confused. I mixed up Longtail and Brokentail, Darkstripe and Dustpelt, had no idea who Ravenpaw was, and many more.
glass cat lol
glass cat me too!
name of mine well that must've been confusing. I started on the 6th book of the 1st series. You can expect someone to be THAT confused.
24:24 YOUR SOOO PRETTY
I honestly think Lionpaw was a snarky, bratty apprentice, and when he became a warrior he was overpowered, boasting, etc.
Another problem I have on that arc and pretty much all the books past P.O.T., Leafpool just HAS to be perfect, dramatic, etc., in fact, Yellowcough was practically invented just to make Leafpool look like a better mentor, as if she wasn't already! I do love Leafpool, but she's a bad mentor, and Erin Hunter should accept that.
Cloud Animations I agree so much with Leafpool! They just HAD to make her so perfect during that arc, and since I hate Leafpool, it was kind of a turnoff😂
i first read yellowcough as yellowfang
warriors speedpaints lmao same
What I really like about PotT is how the Three are saying "God, I wouldn't want to be Breezepaw, his father is so mean!", "Wow, that Crowfeather is quite the asshole! I'm glad there's no way I could be related to him!", "All of WindClan sucks. But especially Crowfeather and Breezepaw." I mean come on, Erins, you ever heard of subtle?
"Hollyleaf transformed into a fox."
Always knew that Holyleaf was a shapshitter!
Wow at first this book was my favorite of power of three now that you point out these flaws I see why it's not that great! This is just amazing!
We should use the Infinity stones to destroy all these bad books!
I really liked how sunrise managed to show the motherly love between Hollyleaf and Leafpool. Hollyleaf had revealed Leafpools secret to all of the clans, yet she still forgave her. I personally loved Hollyleaf and her final words were not the best but to know that she forgave Leafpool is all I wanted to read and bring watery eyes.
I actually loved Tigerheart's Shadow. Well it only raised Tigerstar 2.0 to tolerable, the story with Dovewing was good and the new characters such as Spiresigjt and Blaze are very loveable
24:00 I agree with this video... But i don't get rid of books, period... that makes me sad, ha.
25:40 yes
“Not once did he (sol) raise a claw”
SkyClan Manga part 3 ending :)
The remade story was truly a beautiful scene.
This probably didn't bother because I'm not an analyzer. I get your point and I understand. This just did not bother me. I thought it was ok. Personally I don't hate many cats. The cats I hate include Brokenstar, Tigerstar, Ashfur, Sasha, Hawkfrost, Onestar, and Darkstripe. I don't even hate Tigerstar 2.0. I hate that they made him leader. I even don't hate Twigbranch's name or Shadowkit. I like it actually, it's cute and I want Shadowkit to be the next Shadowclan medicine cat. I didn't like Sunrise, but I thought it was ok. I reserve hate for Spottedleaf's Heart and Tigerheart's Shadow. My only hopes are that Shadowkit becomes medicine cat, Squirrelflight becomes a War Queen leader, Tigerstar 2.0 gives up leadership to his mother, and Leafpool goes be mates with Crowfeather in Windclan. Oh and cats like Mosskit, Snowkit, Gorsepaw, and Swiftpaw and Badgerfang are reincarnated, Breezepelt becomes a full on murderous villain, and Mapleshade makes a return. I like Mapleshade as a Dark Forest cat. No more Tigerstar. Give me Mapleshade
28:14 Nice Thor Ragnarok reference XD.
On the topic of Sunrise, I can't believe I forgot how dumb it was. It's been a while since I've read Power of Three I suppose.
Mhm. I just recently got into Marvel because of my friends, the internet and my own curiosity. And I am so happy because I got the reference.
Yeah. Sunrise was pretty forgettable except for Honeyfern’s death and Hollyleaf’s charater arc in that book. I myself forgot about the stupidity in that book, and I am a very passionate reader and fan of Warriors, and on top of it, a person who has an insanely good memory. (Not the only part about me that’s insane.)
Finally someone who is like me about certain sonic games!(and sunrise)
CALLED THE 10K MILESTONE ON THE LAST VIDEO. Amazing job Quiet Rage! I've been here since 2.7k subs :-) I love your videos and maturity on the platform.
"Vengeance isn't everything" WONDERSTAR SPAT
Sorry I can't get the name Wonderstar out of my head now
Warriors definitely has its faults, but I love it so much!! Since I’ve been reading it 7 years, I feel like I have to finish it. Also, I feel very proud when I can say I’ve read every single book in the Warriors🙃
And I think the power of three was kind of pointless....
I didn’t start of at the originals
Edit: I started at Skyclan’s destiny followed by the sun trail then the originals.
I dont think Sunrise was that bad.
The second arc was much worse in my opinion.
But am I the only one who find Omen Of The Stars really boring?
I just read The Last Hope, none of the other books.
Ooo! Nice video! and thank you for using my sprites!
The thing with Sol is more stupid than how I have my army fight when I play Fire Emblem.
I started off with the aprentices quest and I immediatley knew how things worked(Aside from the way I pictured a few things.)
Kittens are called kits and if your a kit your last name ends in kit. I can't remember if I caught that apprentices have paw at the end of there of name and I know I missed that leaders have star at the end of their name. But I definitley didn't feel lost. I perfectly understood what was going on. I didn't know who StarClan was but I searched that up on the internet with no spoilers. I was spoiled about Tigerstar in the first books being evil so... I did recall that there was another character with the prefix Tiger, but I forgot about him. Still, I didn't feel lost.
Quiet Rage, you are a raging lunatic, and that what makes me love you!
I was at 5:56 and you suddenly gave me an idea
I saw crowfeather's black figure and I thought "why couldn't he be the cat who killed ashfur?" or even Nightcloud! what about Breezepelt? Well, let's explain xD
When Lionblaze (I think) realized that Ashfur wanted to tell their secret at the Gathering, he told Squirrelflight. Idk if is implied that she told Leafpool about it, but let's suppose she did.
Well, Leafpool knowing what happend and scared that maybe Crow could know about this in the worst way possible, goes to him trying to explain what's about to happen (all off screen). He tells her he'll handle it and leaves. The night of the Gathering, Ashfur appears dead at the WindClan border, and the ending of Long Shadows makes you thing one of the three (or even Squirrelfligt) did it.
The next book, where Sol appears, he says that he saw a black cat stalking him, and all the evidence points to Holly. She freaks out, scared of being blamed for Ashfur's death, making unclear if she did it or not.
Later in the book (I ran out of ideas) we descover it was actually Crow all along, and after that 'the secret' gets uncovered.
I said it also could have been Nightcloud or Breeze (the last one more likeable) bc I can see any of them overhearing the conversation and putting hands in action.
Um, happened to me about the whole "started off with series three." Except I started with series one, my school library didn't have new prophecy, and then they got power of three. I told the librarian that series two wasn't there and she did in fact order them, but shipping took so long that I had to read TPoT before New Prophecy. Long story short, I was confused to the new territory and I didn't know who the three's father was, well until later on in the book. (Since it was obvious that Leafpool was the mom of the three.) So that's my story (not that it matters.)
Quietrageclan
I just realized something, Honeyfern was killed by an adder. In the middle of leafbare. Do you see the problem here?
Holy Fu*king Sh*t you're right HOW DID NO ONE NOTICE THIS BEFORE?!?!!!
Wait it was leafbare the plot got more confusing
I honestly dont love the power of three
Josh ClamShell agreed
Same. I actually hated Jayfeather and couldn't find myself enjoying his snarky, sarcastic remarks after he was a horrible apprentice to Brightheart. Maybe it was unfair to hold that grudge, but Brightheart is a cat I relate to so it felt like an insult to me. That and his fans have actively attacked me with word venom over a different opinion. (Scourge fans too, but that's a different topic.) I also hated Lionblaze but, most people seem to agree. I only liked Hollyleaf out of the 3 because I too still felt the warrior code was important and hated how cats were butchering it left and right without being punished when it used to be a big deal. Yeah, Leafpool was eventually, but that was after the fact. (No, I don't think they needed to be punished as far as imposter Bramblestar wanted either. Just some acknowledgement for a short period.)
I'm weird ...
I don't like Mothflight's Vision
I like Spottedleaf's heart
I really like The new prophecy .....
Ale also like Dark river and Outcast...
People will kill me
I started on power of three, i was confused a little, but because the main charcters were kits when the first book started, it was easier to learn then if i would have started in new profecy. Power of tree is my favourite ark in the series so far. But ik lion blase isnt the best warrior, and the traveling books are really unliked though out almost everyone who read the series.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes, my tablets keyboard is small, also Holly leaf is my FAVORITE warrior cat,
I actually didn’t think much of the book since I was spoiled the by watching AMVs and MAPs about this series. I felt meh after reading Sunrise.
All I really remember from this book is as follows
Some cat gets murdered, walking, walking, walking, walking, walking, walking, so much walking, some cat dies, another cat commits suicide, the end.
We're not QuietClan. WE'RE RAGECLAN!
This video's kinda old but IDC
The only good thing in this book was return of our old man Purdy.
Change my mind
Forget Hollyleaf. Purdy is the only character worth it for this book
Power of three is currently my favorite arc, I love how there are so many apprentices, and it really sets the base for Jayfeather, who is VERY lovable.
I think I’ll have another favorite arc, considering I’m reading river of fire, raging storm hasn’t come out yet, and I haven’t even bothered reading dawn of the clans.
Great video!
I really loved power of 3, well, I didn’t really like sunrise I admit, but the characters were the reason I loved it. Jayfeather, started out as a whiny, stubborn (entertaining), and indignant apprentice. But he grew, he showed something that is so frustratingly RARE in a book series. HE GREW! He changed and had good reason to change. He had life changing events, relationships, and interactions that made him far more mature. And that made him so relatable and believable, he was such s beautifully crafted character, and in my opinion, he deserves a super edition.
I did not grow up with the warrior cats. In fact, I was close to 60 before I read my first one. I found "Into the Wild" on the shelf at the Goodwill store where I worked. I love cats, so if course, I had to read it. That was all it took. While I don't pretend to be any good at reviewing, I can tell you that some of the books, I read over and over, while others, I don't even open a second time. So, I am enjoying listening to your indepth breakdown of the books. I understand now why I don't read some over again. Thank you, Quiet Rage!
To be honest,
I didn't like Sunrise either cause the plot was confusing with plot holes DX
Plus I knew from the beginning it was Leafpool and Crowfeather cause it was so obvious.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I love your videos
I don't like Lionblaze, Hollyleaf and Jayfeather. There. I said it.
I just finished this book a week ago and I 100% agree with your review. I couldn’t stand the three main characters in this arc, and it didn’t help that I listened to the audiobooks where Macleod Andrews seemed determined to add as many annoying-sounding new voices to the cast as possible. It was obvious from the start that Sol wasn’t the culprit (there’s even a line where someone flat-out says that Sol isn’t the type to do his own dirty work), so I knew that the whole subplot about tracking him down was pointless, and I think I hated Hollyleaf even more by the end than I hated Bluestar in book 5 of “The Prophecies Begin.” Hollyleaf didn’t just reveal that secret to right a wrong, she also did it to get petty self-righteous revenge on everyone she was angry with. I was at the point where I was considering throwing in the towel with the whole series and not reading any more, but your mentions of the improvements in future books has made me decide to give it another chance, so thank you.
Also, I have a copy of one of the Twilight books that I’ve been cutting pages out of to make wrapping paper for years. Just a thought if you find yourself owning any more books you don’t like. :)
Unpopular opinion: I honestly very much dislike jayfeather and hollyleaf, and I really like lionblaze!(well, I dont really like lionblaze that much, but he was much more bearable that the other two ughk)
OrangeTeaBiscuit Art I always considered Lionblaze as a child after his reaction to his parenthood. Hollyleaf was justified with it shattering her entire belief, and life structure. Jayfeather didn't even seem to care much, especially not later. Lionblaze... I just did not like his attitude, crying over his parenthood when he still has the cats he thought were his parents. Woo hooo, your mother is the sister of whom you thought was, big deal, you can still accept Squirrelflight as your mother, do you understand that sweetheart?
.
Literally nothing truly bad came from that secret except what everyone allowed to happen. Just too crybaby over it.
I think you are suppose to not like them but this point of the story, or at least not approve their action(That's me!).
I love Jayfeather but Hollyleaf, I hate her so much.Lionblaze was like a eh, Hollyleaf could have been amazing, without the power, Lionblaze could of been an amazing villain (credit to someone's comment further up), and Jayfeather could of been better, I was lost in Sign of the Moon, really wish he didn't go back into the past, why couldn't he have a different situation. And Hollyleaf could of been maybe a future leaderbut with a twist that she couldn't handle situations and backs down (my personal opinion) and other situations could of happened. But I appreciate your opinion.
quiet how do send you art for your videos?just asking so I can send you some
If you have a deviantart, put it up there and place a link! If not, you can try connecting on Google hangouts!
thanks a lot quiet rage :)
Your videos are great it is like the only good warrior cats channel!
Drinking game: drink every time the Sunrise cover is on screen and isn't lined up with the background.
Drink twice when the cover is in a different position than the last time it was on screen but it still isn't lined up with the background.
I actually want to read the first book of warrior cats but it's english and I don't know if i'll understand those proffesional world, lol
And if i'll enjoy it.... mehhhh
A.)Warriors really needs one main protagonist (like in the prophecies begin) but instead of starring a noble warrior like Firestar, it stars a sarcastic cat.
B.) if a book is written by the ”Erins” (even if it’s just a team of editors) it’s technically canon. Unless the publishers/authors say it’s part of it, it’s canon.
C.) I forgot Hollyleaf was related to Jayfeather and Lionblaze as soon as Omen of the Star began. Did anyone else?
You should read Percy Jackson
I feel like you would have a lot of fun plotting ways to MURDER RICK BECAUSE HE HAS NO RIGHT TO TORTURE FANS LIKE THIS
Sorry 😅 I get so paranoid with the author sometimes I swear he knows the devil 😡
I really respect your opinion, and I understand it. But I really loved Hollyleafs breakdown, the thoughts spiraling through her head, and it's a huge reason shes one of my favorite characters. (Alongside Jay, Maple, Scourge, and maybe Darktail or Ivypool
Someone who LIKES sonic 06???? now THAT is courage! Props to you!
So about the thing with Ashfur. I think he was treated wrong. Yes he did wrong, yes he went down the dark path of bad choices but, he treated Squirrelflight better than Brambleclaw did at the beginning and middle of the new prophecy. Let me explain, at the beginning of the new prophecy Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight didn’t really get along. Which is ok through the journey they got to know each other more and more and got along pretty well even after the clans arrived at they new home. And here is the point where it got bad and confusing in my opinion. Squirrelflight literally confesses her love to Brambleclaw right after the clans arrived at their new home, and Brambleclaw just kinda ignores it. After a few chapters they both start to argue a lot more. Mainly because Brambleclaw is talking to Hawkfrost and Squirrelflight doesn’t trust Hawkfrost. I don’t know anymore why but I think it was because Hawkfrost had said anything about taking over the clans. Anyway it just got worse and worse, with every argument they just spit more and more toxic words at each other every conversation just got more toxic. And right after Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight had their argument Squirrelflight just immediately went on to Ashfur and it seemed like they had a good relationship. And what I don’t get the most is how Squirrelflight forgave Brambleclaw just like that. No talking nothing just a fight against badgers and everything was ok again. Just. Like. That. And to me it looks like she used Ashfur just to wait for the right moment and go back to Brambleclaw who spit toxic words st her a few chapters ago. And I’m not saying Squirrelflight should have stayed with Ashfur or that Ashfur did right. Not at all, it’s just I don’t understand the whole thing.
The whole 6 books were terrible since Jayfeather and Hollyleaf were stupid thinking they were better then anyone. Hollyleaf was stupid thinking warrior code is important and Jayfeather was stupid thinking he better then anyone
I feel like the only one who liked Hollyleaf the most out of the three. Oh, don’t get me wrong, she was fucking insufferable during her precious warrior code monologues, but throughout the first three and a half books, I thought she was fine. But then Long Shadows and Sunrise came along and shat on all my respect and care for her, causing Jayfeather to become my favourite. I genuinely think she had great potential, but only if they had just gone with a bit less keenness with her for the warrior code. She was hypocritical through allot of scenes, too, but aside from her main reason for things she did, her personality was actually enjoyable.
Also, I liked Jayfeather less than her because, while he was an enjoyable character, I didn’t like how much of a prick he was (I liked him best in Long Shadows and Sunrise, but Eclipse, he made me want to off myself)
My opinion on warriors...
TIME TO KILL UR FAVORITE CHARECTERS LIKE HOLLYLEAF AND FIRESTAR AND NAKE THE LEADER YOUR LEAST FAVORITE CHARECTER
Personally, I think Power of Three is the last actually good series in Warriors
i lost all respect with the lion king thing, i hope you know that has been disproven time and time again, it's fine if you don't like the movie but don't spread misinformation
