Xiaomi Mi Body Composition Scale 2 : amzn.to/3v7jSFw - Наука та технологія
Thanks bro. You made it pretty simple and not click bait video. Hope more people would be like you here on UA-cam. Greetings from Argentina.
I have this scale, and yeah.. it tells me I am overweight aswell lol. Is the Garmin S2 better you think? I am thinking of switching to that one just to get everything in one app.
That’s so nice 👍 of you to give such a flat n honest response. That made me subscribe u. Thank u 🙏 n u saved my KWD 5/- today
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm still looking for a scale I can recommend, but so far no luck
Hi. So which one is great/accurate?
I was afraid. Before I did not exercise (and I was very thin) and the scale said that I had visceral fat 1. I started doing weights and now the scale says that I have increased body fat and visceral fat.
thanks, finally somebody compared the results with actual in-body results.
i figure all these scales are very gimmicky unless the have hand sensors too.
I do want to try and find one that works, but do far I have not
This one works very well for me, although I don't like it much 😅 the Mi Scale shows I am 19.6% body fat, whereas my Iast InBody scan showed 18.5%, that's very close to be honest, but maybe a firmware update made it better or simply my body composition is easier for this kind of scales as my BMI is in line with my weight. The only way to make it accurate though is to weight in first thing in the morning and using as less clothing as possible, any other readings will throw results off a bit.
The reason I don't like it is that the sensors are exposed, and they're easy to scratch when you have kids around in the house 😅mine has some minor scratches, but they're cosmetic at the moment, as readings are still accurate, but I already had one I had to replace because the sensors got damaged to the point the scale was unusable. I am planning to switch to a smart scale with ITO coating and sensors behind the glass, hopefully those will turn out to be as accurate as this little fella.
I have the exact same issues. Ever since I started working out more seriously, visceral fat shows 10, bmi 25, body fat 26.5 . Water 50.4 even though I drank about 3 liters today.
So yeah it thinks i'm overweight, it's probably not meant for gym bros
I'm still looking for one that I can recommend to people
What is the app it uses.. i cant find it
Hi, I just bought it, and the result , I'm overweight 😢😢😢😢
all G jz be in a calorci deficiet
Overweight is just temporary if that is something you are looking to change. Good luck on your fitness journey
Mirror couldve done the job fine then..jk bro stay safe and healthy!
Like you needed anything other then a mirror to tell you that...
Why are we throwing shade right now? I mean I know it is just kidding around, but did that make you feel better by saying that? There is no reason for stuff like that
What about Anker Eufy smart scale P2 pro 🤔
I was thinking to order one today 😏 so thank you for your honest review ✌🏻
No problem. I'm glad I could help
Ditto
Thank you!
@@FitnessWithFrost Same here. Thanks
same
Can you please compare #1 Mi Body Composition Scale vs #2 eufy by Anker Smart Scale P1?
I was very disappointed by the Anker and the Mi Body Composition scale was more accurate in my readings
Well, I´m happy you uploaded this video and the scan. Because I been losing weight and I also got 26% body fat. being almost the same height and weight. So It probably means I´m around 19.4% body fat now too. As long as the scale is consistent, I can keep on tracking my body fat as I get slimmer
Also, the app says I should be 145 lbs, lmao. No way, unless I lose a leg I would reach that weight.
Which app do I need?
Great video, have you tested the Garmin Index S2 yet? Would expect good results from Garmin...
That is next on my list. I've had high expectations already not work out, so I'm not going to get my hopes up to high
@@FitnessWithFrost Looking forward to it!
You just saved me some money, thanks!
Hi bro can you try huawei smart scale 3 pro please???
I'd like to see a review on the Renpho scale please
I'll put it on my list
What would you recommend buying this one or the eufy or just get a basic cheap scale?
Just get a basic cheap scale. These body fat scales just don't work
What is the app ?
Try to do the same test but without the phone on your hands, do you get the same results, since its a bio-impedance scale? i really would like to know if it makes a lot of difference before i buy one. Thanks
just bought this scale to test too, but apparently the body fat results are waaaay off... I went to my doctor last month and, by the tests we did with his professional scale, I was 78.6 kilos and 17.6% body fat. this mi scale said now I'm 77.6 kilos, but 25% body fat?????
Yeah I was not happy with it at all. I have another scale that I'm testing this weekend that I have higher hopes for
Is it possible to use te scale without the app? I mean, stand on the scale and see my weight and continue with my life or do I need to open the app while I am using the scale so the scale can work and show me the weight meassurement?
You don't need the app at all to show your weight with this scale.
A scale of this type can only measure the part of your body that's the shortest way from one pair of electrodes to the other - this means it will only be measuring the composition of your legs and try to extrapolate the result based on your weight and height, so the results can't be very accurate.
I don't even think it is doing that to be honest. My legs are the leanest part of my body
@@FitnessWithFrost interesting, then it's even worse than I expected - I thought it was overestimating my body fat, and underestimating muscle mass, because I'm not a leg day guy, hah.
scale is ok, results compared with TANITA BC1000 with medical soft.. BUT, not the scale is the issue but the interpretatiuon of the scores, so, you can use bodyscale 2 to get the scores, but forget about its algoritms (ideal scores and so on). You gotta have your own interpretation skills/metrics
So eufy p1 is better than this ?
Hi there!
Can you do a test with your left foot on one side of the scale and your right hand on the other side?
It is an uncomfortable but easy position, I have tested it with a normal scale.
In that case the electrical path will go through the whole body (partly avoiding the heart).
Can you compare it with the normal standing measurement?
Thank you.
And also i think all viewers are holding their phones. This maybe affect the measurement.
Sorry Jose I haven't tried yet.
Derek, some users I can say would do it. But the majority would not. I definitely didn't
@@FitnessWithFrost ı have heard that ıts working with sending some electrons to your body and calculating like that. But ı am not sure.
It's just not very accurate and cannot recommend this to anyone unless they are just looking to get their weight
It can't get a reading that way
I don't know it it's the new app version, but it's really accurate for me, the only thing done porely is that the visceral fat value is an approximation from the body fat value - anyone know it it's actually so?
But what this review fail to see/mention is how accurate it for showing the progress for a specific person. Even if like the body fat value is off, the difference you make upp/down is totally accurate for me and the whole family and that defenetly makes it a great buy.
Dear need your advice
Could you recommend me Xiaomi or eufy !? Which is more accurate
Both are not even close to being accurate enough to be considered for recommendation. But if you were really only looking between the 2 of them. I would go Eufy, but remember that one isn't accurate either. It just a touch more accurate than the Xiaomi
Is there any affiliate link so we can buy this?
Just posted it on the description
I dont care about bodyfat or BMR or bone density, I only care does it show accurate body weight if you measure more times in a row or if you move it from one spot to another? Does it aknwolegde more weight if you drink water and you meassure yourself again? I have scales that show me different weight if I meassure myself more than once in a row. It varies like 200, 300g.
I gave up with these sorts of scale and bought a Seca. All it does is weigh and it does it well. Seca 877 accurate to 100g. Picked one up used like new for £40.
Wat scan did you used for comparison?,there it shows 19.4 percentage,i am from India..
That is an in-body report. Particularly it's a Body Composition Analysis (BCA) report usually the same you get in Anytime Fitness gym.
Can you try with the new Xiaomi 8 electrodes scale?
I have a couple scales on my list. I'll add that one in
How about a Huawei Scale 3 Pro? Thanks in advance.
I might be able to get around to it
I own this scale, have do it 3 times to get it done.Which ones do you recommend as a good body composition scale thank you?
Sadly I have still not found a solid recommendation yet. Still doing my testing. I have about 2 more that I'm going to get done within the next month, but as of right now I can really recommend anything
you can try the Huawei one. it's much better, more stable and more accurate of course
It works perfectly, maybe yours need an updated mine is the same as the Fitbit scale in the gym and with the body composition gym printout result, which you stand on barefoot and hold with both hands, I don’t know the brand name .
It's probably an Inbody scanner. I am curious what your BMI is compared to your body fat percentage
I own this scale. I went for an official body composition scan last week and the results were mildly different. My body weight was somewhat heavier (+/- 0.5 kg) when calculated on the xiaomi, body fat is 1% higher on the xiaomi and bone mass (way off).
Yeah I was not a big fan of the scale myself. I'm still looking for a good one
Is it good enough for approximates atleast? I dont need it to be really accurate but atleast an idea of my body composition
It will give you an idea, but not an accurate one. It has been the most accurate one at this price point so far tho
@@FitnessWithFrost can you please do a review of more expensive ones like tanita 953? I know its expensive but the reviews are good!
It's definitely a goal of mine. I'll put that one on my list
Withings Body+ Wi-Fi Scale with Body Composition. Could you please do a review on this one. Thank you.
I think that is going to be my next one
@@FitnessWithFrost ooohhh can't wait. Thank you
No problem. I'm glad you're enjoying
Will using googlefit give more accurate results on this scale?
That shouldn't effect the accuracy
wat is the best smartscale you have been tested so far ?
So far it's been the Slimpal with the measure tape. The scale itself isn't that great for body fat but the measuring tap does a great job
ua-cam.com/video/QC3EhatXS34/v-deo.html
I have the exact same problem : I'm quite lean (around 15% body fat I'd say), quite short (172cm), quite heavy for my height (80kg) and quite muscled (working out and people usually recognize that I'm muscled).
So the scale thinks I'm overweight and say 26% body fat (based only on my height/weight)
So it just doesn't "scan your" body and results are really bad if you have more muscle than the average ...
It's pretty frustrating that a lot of these"smart" scales advertise accurate body fat measurement
I had the same problem. For those who workout the result has nothing to do with it.
😂.🌜oonlight, and Scales are harsh mistresses. Very few are happy with the "truth".
I agree, but it not being accurate is not going to help anyone
but is it the one with bioimpendance, does it have the hand holder?
I had the first version of the Xiaomi Composition Scale, so not this version. But i always felt like it is not accurate at all. I do weight training 3 times a weak for about 10 years, and i have muscle on me. But it always tells me that my muscle mass is to low, and that i should workout more 😛 I don't think this scale makes a distinction between exercising or not
I definitely don't think it is accurate. I believe it takes the majority of the information from your weight on the scale to calculate your body fat. It's just not accurate
@@FitnessWithFrost Did you ever found one that was more accurate or you better of not buying it
Still no sadly. I thought the Omeron I just reviewed would be good, bad sadly it was another disappointment
just bought this scale to test too, but apparently the body fat results are waaaay off... I went to my doctor last month and, by the tests we did with his professional scale, I was 78.6 kilos and 17.6% body fat. this mi scale said now I'm 77.6 kilos, but 25% body fat?????
Maybe you didn't eat anything but fast food
I don't understand that comment
Have you followed the instructions correctly? Like not having any metalic objects such as watches, glasses, etc. Wearing light clothes without metals (no jeans). Measurements should be done with empty bladder and intestines. Please confirm. If not, then it would be interesting to see a new correct measurement.
Butt naked and in the morning. That's not where I shot it, but I tried it a couple of ways
@@FitnessWithFrost proof?
Lol. I guess your going to just have to take my word on that
Yah the reading for me would add a percent or two of body fat if I didn't use the bathroom. Also seems more accurate after a shower for some reason. But what's funny, this dudes read out is almost the same as me, even weight, and he's way more jacked than I am haha
How does it measure body fat percentage?
It has metal electrodes in your feet that send little electric pulses to help with that measurement. That's the more simplified version
@@FitnessWithFrost Have you tested any other body fat percentage tracker? Were any of those accurate?
I have tried 2 others and both were disappointing. Still testing more to hopefully find one to recommend
While knowing pretty much nothing about how these scales work, I wonder if the data would improve over time, and I'm not talking just through software, I'm talking about more information through more weight moments. This 1 is obviously way cheaper than a professional scale, and I wouldn't expect it to be accurate. But it can use a lot more info, and in theory you should be able to adjust it to get more accurate info, like if you had your percentages checked, that you could manually input these, and that the scale would adjust accordingly.
Even though you weren't too positive about it, I still bought it. It was 22 euro here now, which imo is still a great price for a smart scale afaik.
Try huawei smart scale 3 pro
Wat app must I use for this scale
I believe it is the Mi Fit app. Hopefully that is helpful
how about withings body plus smart scale?
I might need to get my hands on one of those!
@@FitnessWithFrost will wait for the review then
I'm 23 and I was shocked when I saw 33. I have the same water percentage as you i do not drink so much too. I have normal fat % and more muscles but the scale says otherwise. My body fat should be around 21% not 26% lol.
Yeah it's quite frustrating for it to be so off. Can't wait to find one that works
Remember that most people underestimate their bodyfat percentages too, so if you have nothing reliable to compare it to, it can be right. It depends on how your bf is arranged, if you have more fat on your legs you'll get a higher reading, and vice versa
I agree, but I did my scan with a very reliable Inbody scanner to get a good estimate. My lower half is by far my leanest part of my body and it still gave me a very high percentage overall
how about Etekcity Smart Scale for Body Weight
I haven't gotten around to testing that yet
that is completely garbage
To be honest I believe all of them are. But I'm still a little hopefully that one will actually do what it says
Nice review bro, finally someone who is honest. If the product is not good why shill it?
Well done mate.
I'm glad I could help. Still looking for one that actually does body fat accurately
@@FitnessWithFrost please let me know
Someone please help me figure this out!
I’m a competitive athlete who’s body fat should be lower than 20% yet it shows that it’s 28.4%? And you’d think it’d tell me that I’m overweight yet it says I’m right between normal and low? Which objectively, if you have 28.4% body fat you should be pretty overweight. Is it on a different scale? Is it a different measurement? It says that “normal” is between 28-35% which is wrong normally. I’m so confused😅
Well definitely not using scales like this if you are a competitive athlete unless you just want to know how much you weigh. As far as what they consider normal probably speaks to population percentages at your age and that would make it "normal" but if you are a competitive athlete I would push you to at least get an Inbody, but there are many other ways to get a more accurate measurement
@@FitnessWithFrost I’ve taken body fat measurements in the past and they were around 18.5% but I’ve progressed since so that’s the last think I expected. But 28.4 is definitely _not_ right above healthy. I think the scale they use is way off for women, is there a way to change that?
They may be, but I do not believe it will be accurate even if you do
I bought it today, I even watched ur video first, i tested mine and it was very accurate except for the mass muscle thing, which is fine by me.
Yeah the body fat isn't very accurate. The weight is fine, but definitely don't go by the numbers for body fat
@@FitnessWithFrost well i live in iraq, i paid 23$ dollars for it. Brand new from xaomi store.
So far i like it. I hope it doesnt break quickly.
I'm keep my fingers crossed for you
Mine is accurate but besides BMI and body weight it doesn't show me other parameters :(
Did you stand on it long enough for it to read your body fat?
@@FitnessWithFrost yes, I stood for few minutes barefoot.
That is weird. I wish I could help. Maybe try and reach out to them
I dont get it body fat is 22% and after 2 days its 26...is that normal?
Not really. This is not an accurate measurement for body fat percentage so I wouldn't trust it
Perfect! Thank you for this review. I just got their Smart Scale 2 which is cheaper and simpler
I hope you enjoy it!
which would be the most precise machine, I do not care about price, maximum price of 120usd
I need to know
You will not get any sort of precision at that price point sadly
@@FitnessWithFrost which one is the best scale.?.. that’s my question
@@FitnessWithFrost which one is the most accurate?
I wish I could give you a recommendation, but to be honest none of them are accurate enough to even recommend. The best body fat percentage measurement I've gotten is from my Galaxy Watch 4 and 5
Hauwei scale 3 pro
I have this scale, results: 228lbs, 149lbs of muscles.. But no way that I have 30% body fat.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of it at all. I'm still looking for a good one at a decent price
Yeah no way, that's not humanly possible, am I right?
i have the same problem
Chinese Version or Global version?
Pretty sure this is the global version
ty bro
NP bro
what’s with your voice?
It says that my body age is 17-18 years old...i eat unhealthy, do not work out and i am 32 years old. It also says i have between 8-10 % bodyfat which is ridiculous.
What is your BMI if you don't mind me asking. You can Google a calculator or just put your age height weight and gender here

Thank you for saving my money.
You're most welcome
Is anker scale Accurate ??
I have not gotten my hands on that one yet sadly
I've compared Tanita, Inbody and Xiaomi results several times before and so far Inbody actually has a significant difference in results with Tanita and Xiaomi, e.g. body fat % could have a difference of +- 3-5%. I would still trust Tanita over other BIA brands.
Have you found a scale that accurately measures body fat %?
Sadly nothing yet. I'm going to be buying a new one soon
@@FitnessWithFrost looking forward!
If you don't recommend this would be cool of you throw out couple options that you would recommend
I sadly haven't found one yet that I could recommend. When I do I will definitely update this video
Review just now that?
I'm sorry I'm confused if this is a question
i weighted myself normally: 80kg, 19%fat, 71points, body age 25 everything ok
then I weighted myself with bike: 97kg, 28% fat, 31 points, body age 40...
i guess my bike should go on diet.
That's on fat bike lol
Yeah these scales are just not reliable sadly. Maybe I will find one but a this rate I don't think I will
Realme body scale
I might need to try that out next
I'm lean with visible abs and this scale shows that I'm at 21% body fat. Wildly inaccurate.
It's sad how far off a lot of these scales are
I have bought it today
I wish you the best, but don't put too much faith in the body fat percentage
@@FitnessWithFrost iam using Huawei watch Fit mi band 4 kw 66 smart watch haylou watch RT 5s no one is accurate all are not for medical purposes only for fitness use so don't fear .even the clinic results are not same
I totally agree. But the readings from this for body fat percentage is so far off, it's not even really worth using at all
And what about weight scale .is weight is accurate?
Had no problem with the accuracy of the weight in the scale.
yes, it really is innacurate
Mine is off by 20 lbs
That's crazy. I didn't find a problem with the weight, but it definitely doesn't do well with body fat
xiaomi thinks my Body Age is 16yo, I'm almost 29, although I'm vegan for 9 years idk
It showed me at 11.8% when I was clearly 7.8 % 😱.
That is closer than most
😂. So many discontents. Or it's just The Scales are harsh witnesses.🤔
It's just not accurate. Did you see my testing methodology?
183,6 kg :O
you should rather start thinking about having no dessert
183 lbs not kg. Sorry for the imperial system over here
dude, this scale doesn't measure body fat %, it calculates it based on your weight, it doesn't have bioimpendance, it's supposed to have that thingie to hold with your hands like the Tanita scale has.
Yeah my weight was pretty accurate on this scale. But the Bodyfat % ? The InBody Scan says I‘m at 10.8% while the mi Scale says I have 22%
At this point, I don‘t trust about that point 😅
Yeah it just isn't accurate with body fat.. Can I ask if your BMI is a little bit higher?
Yep shoulda watched this b4 buying. I brought it and got a bodyfat % of 26% as well, I'm probably closer to half that. So, if you want to monitor bodyfat the Xiaomi scale isn't going to do it.
To add I'm 5' 8" and weigh 78kg I go to the gym lift weights. I have been on a low carb diet so I'm very lean. The last time I had my body fat % done with calipers it was 14% I'm at least that if not less.
Personally I think the xiaomi measurements are purely based on the body mass index and the 'sensors' are just a gimmick for the hopeful and gullible like me.
I wouldn't be too surprised if that is the case. I'm hoping to find a good scale soon that I can recommend to people
i have 10,6 body fat in real and mi measure 26....😂
You don’t look like you train a lot but ok
Understandable, but I don't train for muscle mass as society believes men should. I train for function rather than focusing on aesthetics. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's not my cup of tea
Your intro is so freakin’ annoying it blew my eardrums
Yeah I have changed my editing software since then. The audio was never easy to manipulate with the old software
