This is why getting a business man into office is best for the economy. Especially TRUMP! America will now lookout for its own!
yes you ignore everything u paid will be more expensive
We’ll tax you like how you tax us. As an American I can choose what products I can buy. I don’t have to buy anything made in India
Try that with medication cause most of it is made in india
What do you expect from Indian news media they will defend their country even when Trump is right, Tariffs should be both ways and never one sided Plaki needs to act like journalist and less defensive when it comes to truth
Well! Who is going to suffer the most? It is not India that can turn elsewhere for trade. The US will pay the price for Trump's decisions. More tarrifs means higher purchase prices for imports to Americans. Americans are bleeding already.
You forget the difference between the United States and India is India is a Third World country with mass poverty
Hahaha lol. Then turn to somewhere. In Europe no one buy Indian products bcz low standards.
Voice of Jayshankar is too soft now when it comes to USA. We are waiting to see how Nirmala Tai is going to retaliate as she would say "Main Piaz Lasun Nei Khati aur USA se business nei kerti".
Not sure if Modi can take any strong steps as we all know he does not see files.
At the end of the day, general public of India would face high inflation for sure !!
India as neutral country is bloody joke lol
Only you are a joke here, cause it's fax
America is neutral country is even a bigger joke.
America is neutral country is even bigger joke.
What is wrong with Trump, he clearly saying, when any other country changes the tariffs on American products, Trump has the right to start applying the same kind of tariffs. I don’t see any issues.
DEDOLLARIZATION
India kalian hebat..kalian punya pendirian dan keberanian...salam dari Indonesia untuk saudara kami yang sangat membanggakan
They tax us we tax them. Sounds fair to me
No not really, consumers will end up paying a lot
@@raavyk If there are tariffs, you are already paying too much. Either your trade partners drops their tariffs or they get tariffs. Thats whats called equitable trade. Either we all have no tariffs or there is equitable tariffs both sides. Sounds fair to me but ofcos you can pay more & lose your job too if only one sides gets to play. But ofcos, get elected POTUS & you can set your own rules, if you can get elected that is
Indias tax is the worst in the world
Jai Hind. Trump now has 2 trump cards against PM Modi, his Governor-general of India that are: 1) More Hindenburg attacks and 2) Increased Tariffs. So, all these threats could potentially de-rail our Made in INDIA dream like Indians APPLE exports to the US and the 5Eyes.
Our government throw tax on anything & everything, It's us INDIANS paying 100% on those goods, if tax is removed, we are the one who will be benefited than anyone else! Imagine cutting price of those goods reduced by 50%! how good it will be for the consumers!
IF OUR MANUFACTURERS CAN'T COME UP WITH VALUE FOR MONEY GOODS THEN IT'S TIME FOR THEM TO DO SOMETHING ELSE!
LET THE TAX BE 0% OR SAME AS INDIAN MANUFACTURERS. IT WILL BE A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD FOR BOTH INTERNATIONAL & INDIAN MANUFACTURERS. LET THE BEST PROVIDERS WIN. Y IMPOSE TAX ON IMPORTS IF LOCAL MANUFACTURERS ARENT EFFICIENT?
IT'S FAIR ENOUGH IF US GOVT CHARGE SAME TARRIF ON IMPORTS, HE NEVER SAID HE'S GONNA CHARGE MORE THAN WHAT WE CHARGE! HE IS STILL BEING NICE TO INDIA.
IMPOSING IRRATIONAL TAX/TARRIF ON IMPORTED GOODS IS NOTHING BUT RISTRICTING OWN CITIZENS FROM GETTING THEIR HANDS ON THE BEST OF THE GOODS AVAILABLE ! ITS A SWORD IN THE BACK OF THE TAX PAYERS WHO ALREADY PAID HEAFTY INCOME TAX.
0% tax...???..😂....who will pay the defence expenses
Clearly you know nothing about economics and the delicate balance. Good luck with that! For India at least this pleasure will be short live though some taxes are pretty bizarre especially on luxury product but other than that it will not be much of a wise decision. 😅
Jobs my friend , india wants them to manufacture in india itself then there will be no import tax , cbu and cku have different tax rates for this exact reason
@@proudmisogynist
ever herd about income tax & other taxes? if they cant make 0 at least they should put equal tax for foreign & local manufacturers. imposing 100-150% tax doesn't make sense!
& mind u we are the largest importer of defence equipment in the world! they are throwing money like water, they should fully focus on domestic manufacturing in that field.
Russian defence budget in 2020 was only around 61B$ just before war & last yr it was only 84b$ during war & our budget for last yr & this yr was around 70-75B$ ! can we even match at least 50% of Russian power in terms of equipments?
could u imagine what will be our expenditure if we happen to enter war? we cannot relay on timely supply from foreign countries. After spending soo much on defence we are only pouring money on other countries & improving them & staying behind, bcz any country that exports will charge high premium on defence exports. & they may betray or sanction the exports to our country when ever they want!
@@samyakvohra4161 then y does hotel charge 18% gst?, if u order online y does they charge 18% on delivery? & how much is the tax on medicines? do u know almost 40-50% of the money u pay to buy a car is tax, the true value is less than 50% from the manufacturers! a mobile phone is charged 18 % gst. when did these things become luxury? in case of emergency u need a call phone to call ambulance or police. aren't these thing are basic needs in our daily life? they should be charged 5-7% & do u know how much is the tax on fuel? isn't it the basic requirement for any human being? Y is it charged like luxury product?
So, India and other countries are allowed to tax our products, and if trump decides to return the favor, he is the bad guy? How about all countries practice fair trade then they won't have to worry about tariffs.
"India is not Canada" and Modi is not Trudeau...
Modi will make 1000s of poor citizens and children to stand in the hot sun for hours to welcome trump… of course, India is not Canada and modi is not Trudeau..l
and USA is not Bangladesh
😂😂😂😂
It doesn’t matter. India is still weak in International affairs. It is a truth. Don’t exaggerate with Modi mania. Tariffs account for more than 12% of country’s GDP. It is a lot.
India increasing tax like nobody cares 😒
America raising taxes is not going to go well America is starting some 💩 that’s going to end bad for America this ain’t the 90’s this is a new era and the American dollar is on its way out
And expect higher fuel prices coming your way 😂
India feeling tough
You could see her bias in Reporting cause it was her Nation that was involved..
Trump is an experienced deal maker..
I don't see it honestly.
But Trump our freeend saaaar!
Building a strong diplomatic relationship is a two-way street, and it takes effort from both parties. Indians are renowned for their keen bargaining skills, so make sure you bring your A-game to the table!
This sounds fair and logical to anyone with an elementary education....if we tax for every item we sent to India....can we tax India for every product they sent to the US....what is the argument here...
If the US taxes India, India should tax the US as well at par and equality. Nothing more, nothing less.
India is already doing that
That’s exactly Trump is saying
New currency for Brics
I thought Indians looked up to white Americans, and Americans liked Indians for the sake of opposing China. So how come things have changed now?
Please tax India Heavy tax at that.❤️
It's fair to charge tariffs or duty by the USA if India levies the same on goods from the USA.
India once said US was his ally, now scared the pants off tariffs from US, and looking to normalize trades(looking for help) with China🤣😂
But when India does it, they are protecting workers etc…
Yess MS Pallkii jii .. Tell us what we must do.. please 🙏
Why sign all those free trade agreements if, ultimately, it has to come down to this?
India to retaliate...love it!😃😃😃
Full support doland saar,u r our new gaad..saar ❤ lub u
Blame on China for dragging India into thier problem
US targets everyone.
Bwahahahaha. Losers can only blame, just like lefty meltdowns here blaming Trump for our sky-high inflation and unstoppable crimes, oh and the two wars.
Thats why they are where they are. Blaming others at every setback.
Good job Trump. Modi must be crying now 😂
Good discussion mr Trump India always playing double game
Indian finance minister seems soft to US I think he’s scared. US can literally ruin India’s economy.
Indian consumer is huge compared to USA. India have 1.4 billion people and USA have 380 million. You wanna sell you products in india then start manufacturing in india. There'll be no tariff. If USA have more than 1 billion consumer India would not put tarrif. India is not rich country like USA and USA have unfair economic advantages like top fortune companies are from USA and they have completely monopoly. Tarrif will be fair when India and USA in same economic level and same population. When comes to economy India should follow China. Maybe USA finished the whole book earlier than India, that's why Americans arrogant and dictating the world but mark my word day will come. Once China also poor country but now their economy is 19.5 trillion and USA have 23 trillion. Very bad day is coming for USA not now but within 25 to 30 years. Maybe today is you're the champion but tomorrow will someone else. Remember you past actions have consequences. Don't worry China will give you tough time and coming some decades India will to give tough time. Majority of country believe in multipolar world. Be arrogant but it'll not last longer. Universal rule evaluation.
Why can't US products compete against chinese, europeans, congolese under the same tariffs? There is a huge competitiveness problem with companies inside US.
So much is going on in this world! Who’s gonna fix it?
If countries are charging the us to ship something in then other countries need to be charged the same. Maybe a little less but should be charged.
Tax like England, Services like Somalia😂😂😂
To be accepted, first accept them! This is call reciprocity, i.e do unto what you want others to do unto you!
Equal tariffs is acceptable so ... India needs to think about that
New currency for Brics is fair game. US needs to stop being greedy.
@marxprento2485
100% agree
Free market economy
Won't one minimize their stake on the USD when threaten, to reduce exposure. Ain't this normal human behavior?
Trump, the man that calls Scotland "home" and hammers scotch whisky with tariffs
At least india is a country…
Not a province…
lol whats ur problem of charging you 100 percent if youve been doing the same?
India will retaliate with what? Goods like apples and walnuts!!
A beautiful word to Trump
😂😂😂 Just send our Finance Minister to USA if Trump wants any help in Taxation 😂😂😂.
India is dying under bjp modi Shah regime.people of India can not be the victim of their wrongdoing.we need new leader immediately
