- We ordered 24 eggs in the mail that got severely delayed! Will they survive?! Did we get the chance to save them too late?! These are not your average supermarket eggs! With 4 broken shipped eggs we know we are now down to 20 and are holding out hope that these eggs will hatch in 28 days!

I remember as a kid when we would get baby chicks in the mail. I would be so excited for them too come. My dad would always have a setting hen to hatch eggs, plus use the incubator. Boy has times changed on incubators in 70 yrs 😂. This is such a wonderful life style you kids are creating for the boys. It will teach them so much about life in a good healthy way. Sending good vibes that all eggs hatch!
Oh my goodness. The horses are really loving on you . They know who takes care of them and gives them so much love. Makes me smile everyday.

I hatched eggs for years in my kindergarten class. Just make sure the turkeys drink, they aren’t the brightest members of the bird family. Good luck, it will a lot of fun for all of you.

We did chicken hatching eggs in an incubator at the public library where I worked one year and it was thrilling seeing it happen!! Your boys are adorable and handsome young men. I hope the baby turkeys are ok!! This is so cool!! 😊

This was fun and I loved seeing the boys taking part. And Dayton face when you were looking at the dented egg. I lost it 😂. My heart melted with the horses loving on their mother, just shows they know ur heart and soul!!Thanks for being an amazing family and bringing us with you on your journey.

Oh, what an exciting time for your boys! For 10 years prior to my retirement, I had an incubator in my second-grade classroom. We hatched chicken eggs from my sister's farm each spring. The week prior to hatching, she would bring the hen and rooster to school. I kept the hatchlings for a few days before their trip back to the farm. Every child in the school would visit the classroom to see the eggs and then the chicks. enjoy your journey.

Antigonish Country Co-op is great! That's where we got our meat hens in the past and our chicken feed for our laying hens.

20 years ago I incubated Eclectus parrots. I got 2 a year apart. Both boys. I wanted a girl but dad was getting old and eventually passed. I was glad to have the young ones that reminded me of him. They are so precious but lots of work.
Good luck with your babies. I would say about 75% will hatch for you.

You might want to get a big ball for the horses to play with! It's great exercise for them and it helps build their muscles and it's fun for them!

How very exciting! My daughter does chicken eggs in her classroom every spring. Never get a full hatch, so I'm going to guess 8. Crossing my fingers and toes that these little guys survived their journey! Your boys are so adorable!
We do quail hatching and we use a breeder in Manitoba. We expedite them so they arrive in 3-5 business days. Then we let them rest a day and incubate them. Depending on when the breeder collects them you should be good. Hoping for a good hatching :)

I hope they all hatch. I am so sorry that it took so long for them to reach you. If they don't make it, you should probably take a road trip if/when you try it again. That way you're sure to get them home in a reasonable time frame.

Hudson and London are really big snuggle buddies. I would have laid down and gotten a snuggle or two. Turkeys are some of the funniest birds I’ve ever seen! We have a flock that lives in the woods behind our house. It is so fun to watch the the hatchlings running around. And there is usually one huge Tom strutting around like he is a proud dad. There are also some immature males trying to be just like King Tom. And the poor mommas are trying to keep all of their young safe. They run circles! I can’t wait to see your turkeys hatch. I say at lest 20 will hatch.

Love how they were talking low will unwrapping. The shell on some are cracked but the embryo lining is still ok. It still has a chance and my thinking is doing the dry will help them less infection chance.
