'Dont milk the self-pity of it' - Wow this is really what I needed. Self-pity is really drowning me in all the thoughts of not being good enough. This really is eye-opening.

Me and my dad fought and he yelled this at me. Because I was sexually abused as a kid. But I am 28 now and said to stop being pity on myself. Told me before he died now he's dead. He's right

It took me 36 years of darkness to see the light, God has given me a new lease on life... Forgive it all people, then try to... Just try to be as one.
so with you my friend. it took me a lot of the same amount of "time" to surrender and realize that I was separated from God. Well, that God was right there for me, always have been, and now is my time. Right now. God is with me, now. Absolutely amazing and beautiful to know this even though it is a challenge sometimes to stay connected. Mostly working on not holding on so tightly which, for me, turns to fear quickly. Rest in God. That's where I need to be, that's where I am. Best to you my friend. See you in our meditations!

Do not let yourselves be led astray as I once was by the words of Ram Dass and other new-age teachers. They only seek to lead you away from Jesus Christ. There is no other way to God, to salvation, except through Jesus Christ.

I feel the same. I actually started talking to him in my meditations just a few days ago. I meditations have always been pretty much silent and just connecting with the Oneness but I have been feeling a need to just ask questions and listen for answers. He is part of the Oneness and so I just ask and listen and I'm here his reply. I guess it's really me talking to me and infinity and so on but it's been beautiful. Be Blessed my friend, you are.

I watch this video and what arises in me is overwhelm and stress.
my dream life feels 999-trillion universes away from my reality:
- I have minimal work (I live in poverty)
- the place I rent is old and teeny tiny tiny
- I have passions and talents that could make me rich, but...
- I'm single, have been my whole life, I die for true love
- fat and diabetic
- old now, no longer attractive
- no friends
- always a million-trillion stressful things to do...

I've been laughing my ass off today, as I noticed myself being taken out of consciousness by small details (a woman's pretty hind, some poor people scaring me by the thought that I'd be helping them as a service worker each and every day, some dead moments with a colleague where I didn't seem to be able to come up with anything funny) and like he said in the lecture, I'd hear this guru saying "oh, you're looking at women's booty again?", "oh, poor people scare you?", "Why do you care about being funny so much?".
Truly insightful and the laughter is actually helping me to let go off these compulsive habits. Thank you for your wisdom, guru Ram Dass!

I like how for the past 4-5 days ever since my eyes have opened along with my brain into what is and what is not going on in my life that today for about an hour My Brian was very silent and it kind of scared me and then I thought to myself crap back to normal of overthinking and wondering what the Hells going on then I watch this video and help me to realize that the thoughts in my head or not who I am and it was a great reminder that thoughts are just thoughts and they will pass through, thank you so much for posting this,it help me realize where I was before.... I thought to myself when I snapped back into realizing that words or thoughts are just words or thoughts and that they will pass,I even said out loud “man that was one hell of a ride”then back to my good normal self
