Here’s the deal. Dust replaces crops in terms of value. It doesn’t add anything else, it would be the same as 50m crops. EXCEPT Tattoos and runes are affected by crops, but dust doesn’t improve the chances for Runes/Tattoos, just increases the value of the shipment. If you are fishing for Runes or Tattoos, go full crops or minimize the dust. If you are going for raw currency you can replace crops with dust.
just sent my first 50m shipment the other day and my word, the results far exceeded my expecations. 2x mirror shards, 11x div, 5x ex, 5x sacred orb, 3x power rune. what a day that was!

Typically these video guys show decent/good results but I would not be surprised if I send a 50m shipment with 10m dust and 40m worth of crops that I somehow don't get a mirror shard. 'Cause that has been my "luck" this entire league based on the stuff people get doing "strats" Even strongbox strat I copied the exact one and got nothing for 30 maps in a row. No duplicate divine or valdo. Then I quit that strat, came back to it and in my first 2 maps divine duplicate and valdo duplicate. That's RNG.
@@MalphasMikaelson what pro players won’t share with you is that it depends on the hour you’re farming. Whatever is being used most will drop most. Weekend, a lot of players are running t17 maps, they will drop more. Weekdays, a lot of players are meta crafting. You will drop more div

You can put the same scarabs all day but if your maps aren’t nearly as strict on quantity as the original than you’re not going to have similar results. I had to be getting close to at least 1 raw divine or valdo box drop per T17 Ambush. Scarabs drops were always where most the profit came from for me anyway.

You got into infamous Kalguurian IQ trap, happened to me as well, though i sent to pondium with 7% risk and got rng -25% total shipment value, still got my shard. Probably there's no straight correlation as many videos claim, more likely pure RNG - doesn't matter what port and how far, how much dust and crops. Or may be it's very hidden so without databse info from devs or data mining it's impossible to adjust strategy for guaranteed mirror shards.
A couple guys in my guild play 7 days a week 15+ hours a day, they feel the ratio of dust can be 1:1 or 4:1 doesn’t really matter. Also, they have shipments where there are zero shards. It’s RNG as far as we can tell. What’s not RNG is the amount of time it takes to farm recourses for these shipments. Holy shit it’s insane.

There is a community driven spreadsheet of 50M shipments with 160+ (confirmed) entries. It is pinned in the Community Highlights in Path of Exile Reddit if you want to take a look. The current data, although also limited, does not really suggest that 40/10 is necessarily the best ratio. No hate or anything of that sort - I love your currency strategy videos - I just do not think we can say the golden ratio is 40/10 with such certainty yet. Keep up the good work!
Agreed. Variance is simply too high and range of results too restricted with mirror shard returns to say anything with certainty without dozens or hundreds of samples which also account for the other potential factors like total value, type of crop, port, bonus objectives, character level, time of day, shoe size, whether mercury is in retrograde, etc. But in seriousness, if you’ve got 5 dudes at 40/10 and 5 dudes at 25/25 and they get results that are on average different between the groups, you might just have seen a random sampling with an illusory correlation. Now….. if you’ve got 100 guys in each group, now we’re talking. But the range of results is only like 0-6 shards and we know the correlation with dust ratio isn’t so tight that it’s immediately apparent after just a few shipments. It’s not like you ALWAYS get a certain number of shards at certain dust ratios. So at best it’s only nudging the results one direction or the other. And it seems likely that the ratio has little or no impact, just crop type and overall value.
I have watched some more videos about and basically all the divine could be exalted, to about 1 to 2 m after that they become Sacred orbs, from 2m to 50m and Sacred become mirror shards. Sacred orbs could have been mirror shards 😮
It highly depends on how many crops are required by riben fell and by what percentage will the returns be increased. In this video he sent 15 mill dust but there were no crops required by riben fell. So do your shippments first to roll a good percentage return then do the 40/10 for maximum profit.

Received 9 mirror shards on my first shipment - sent exactly 25 million dust and 25 million crops. The next two shipments were not exactly divided and received 2 mirror shard and 0 mirror shard respectively. All shipments went to Pondium.
The main problem with 40/10 ships is the limited growth rate of the crop. For example, 40kk crop will grow in 158 hours and 37 minutes, while 25kk - 99 hours 7 minutes. The difference is too huge. Also, in ZiggyD's tests, he did not notice a noticeable difference between 50kk crop and 25/25, even if it is there, it is too small to lose one shipment out of three. 40/10 ships should only be sent if you have huge problems with dust and you do not have time to collect it by the right time. Guys, just so you know, mirror shards are not guaranteed. Yesterday i've sent a shipment, exactly how explained in the video, 40mil crops and 10mil dust, to ribenfell. Got back 3 power runes, 9divs, and 4 sacred orbs. The theory is that mirror shards and sacred orbs have the same weight, so randomly you can get all kirror shards, all sacred orbs, or something in between... Now i'm gonna wait a week and do it again, but i'll tell you, it was very disappointing 🤣
My feeling is that 50mil shipment is 50mil shipment. And that more or less dust is not so relevant, it's just rng. As a matter of fact, I've seen a video from another content creator, that did a 50mil shipment using a lot of dust, because he didn't want to wait for crops to grow and so he bought a lot of t0 uniques and made lot of dust very quickly, and he got no shards at all, so, I dunno man, just rnjesus

they are busy working on poe2 then bother with this. and this has been a thing for around 2 to 3 weeks. however i won't be surprised if they nerf it when it goes core.
its not a give than 40m crops and 10m dust is better than 25m dust and 25m crops. we do not have enough data to prove that. i send 25/25 so far and got 4 mirror shards and 3 mirror shards in my 2 shipments so far
From my personal data this is what I found out: 40 million worth of crops & 10 million worth of dust is the sweet spot for sending "50 million" shipments. I would never recommend 25 million crops and 25 million dust! guys that sent more than 20-30 million DUST appeared to get worse loot!
@@poeguy007 As the guy above mentioned you can't prove that, the issue here is statistical significance as you don't have enough data to determine whether dust/crop ratio changes anything as long as you have maxed shipment value limit. You would need at leats thousands of tries not just 20~
I don't know if this helps or hurts anyone, but I found my collection of rank 10 x 3 and rank 9 x 3 sailors achieved 0 risk with a 50 million shipment. I'm VERY disappointed I got zero shards, 10 raw divines, 4 power runes. It is possible sailor rank affects rewards, I don't know. I used around 5 million dust only, the rest crops, and some verisium just bc I felt like it. I DID get 6 sacred orbs, so it's quite possible I just had bad BAD rng and none of them converted to shards. I don't know, but it was highly disappointing. 1 exalt, too.
another player sent 50%crops 50%dust and got 7 mirror shards. as for me ive already sent two 50m shipment with 35m crop and 15mdust on both occasions, got 2shards 9divs 1power rune on first and 1shard 11div 3power for 2nd shipment.
guys, something terrible happened to me :D I saved around 7 days to get my 50 mil shipment ready and i accidentally entered the wrong number and wanted to correct my mistake. I closed the entering screen and opened it again and didnt see that the harbour was still selected and I accidentally sent the shipment away. and then I wanted to correct my value and abandoned the shipment, but abandoning removes ALL ressources :( what a shit bahaviour, why is that? :( now I need to wait again a full week :(

I struggled killing the pirate many times. I died maybe 3 or 4 times because of a lag spike when he spawns the pillars. To lose to this fight is a massive setback. Three weeks ago I lost 5 lv 10 units from mapping and I still haven't been able to buy them back after a dc. I spent about 7 million gold rerolling and got three and no lv 10 farmers yet. I play alot but I do legions so its 15 mins a map. I dunno how you are supposed to be able to buy these units I keep getting lv 10 miners.
you have 3 atlas trees. So getting gold isn't too huge of an issue if you can spend 15 minutes doing a diff strat such as a any quant strat and you will get prob around 250k gold in that time or more. as for dying to the pirate this late in the league, Im not sure if your build just isn't progressed much, but you could likely have much more survivability for a single fight with a few simple switches like using a defiance of destiny amulet or just stand at the front by the entrance where the pillars can't hit you and the waves will only go that direction like 1% of the time and can be avoided easily.
during interphase just go north (where the pirate area begins after the corridor), the waves usually don't reach there, read usually, i didn't say never XD so the interphase becomes just a waiting room

@rfgTgamer you can can t1-4 8mod corrupted maps with atlas tree FULL into rogue exiles (get all nodes) and use the following scarabs: titanic scarab, titanic scarab of legends, gigantification scarab x2, anarchy scarab and for atlas power, choose also anarchy. this way you will get ~30k gold PER MAP! even on t1 :) you are welcome
no such thing as mystics. You may have meant sacred orbs, because those are the same rarity as shards. also I don't believe "mythic orbs" come on shipments. in fact mystics don't even exist as far as I know.
In 7 days i made 2 mirror shards and 9 divines and 10 runes for o. 7d each with 8 and 6.5mln shipmenr (1.5 mln dust and rest croops). So i guess 50mln its not that necessary.
I sent 3 50mil shipments. 1 for this close tattoo port (forgot its name) - 3 mirror shards. 2 to Riben Fell - 1 shard and 0 shards. All of this, including what are you talking in the video, is pure rng, you are making assumptions on a very low amount of data. Other people on reddit did the same thing (collecting data from hundreds of shipments) and their conclusions were quite the opposite to yours, which means the truth is somewhere in between and there is a lot of rng here.
To maximize your Mirror Shards chance you should avoid sending 5 million, 10 million shipments!! just stick to ONE BIG SHIPMENT every week and you will get the most out of this league mechanic. Also avoid sending too much DUST. From what I've seen so far, guys that sent more than 15 million - 30 million dust got way less expensive stuff than the ones that sent CROPS WORTH of 40 million & 10 million dust. 10 million DUST is the sweet spot from what I've seen so far.
40 + 10 mill dust is kinda bs if you ask me, I've sent 2 shipments like that and only got 1 mirror shard in each, the best loot I got was with 25 mil crops 25 mil dust... one gave me 6 shards, one gave me only 4 but still better than 1 shard and double the crops......
My 40m crop 10m dust shipments gave me 1 and 2 shards, 25m crop/dust shioment gave 4 and 5 shards. As many has noted in the comments section, 40m/10m cannot be proven to be better than 25m/25m
no, it has the same chance. we did further testing and it appears that the dust is just additive value. What this means is that sending 50 million crops, 40 million crops and 10 million dust OR 30 million crops and 20 million dust with give the same chances to get a mirror shard ( 0-6 ) // Idea is that you want to send 50 million shipments ONLY since they give you the HIGHEST chance to find POWER RUNES & MIRROR SHARDS. Also do not send too much dust; if you send more than 25 million dust you will get horrible results
is realy only riben fell who is rewarding with mirror shards ? i've got Te Onui (tatoo one) who got: Wheat 89 000 (+135%) and Pumpkin 110 000(+75%). So even with this bonus its not worth it ?
best results ALWAYS on "Riben Fell"; hands down the best port to pick for the "50 million" shipment strategy here! Not to mention that is the closest port -> you are less likely to have problems.
Sent 2x50 mil ships so far. Both 25kk/25kk. 1st to tattoo town, got 6 shards(quota was good af). 2nd to rune town, got 2 shards and 3 power runes(quota was kinda mid) As far as I know the dust/crops ratio affects only the amount of runes you get and the amount of mirror shards is pure random(maybe depends on quota as well)
You could crash and lose 50m shipment. Just pay the guy his 50k gold if your giga shipment gets seized. Unless you are into adrenaline pumping actiivites of course, Port doesn't matter for currency rewards. Also you can some people will get no mirror shards. I got 1 and then 0 so far. Other people report 0 ms as well. Also we don't know optimal ratio between dust and food yet.
how the frick are you guys getting 40 million value in crops in three days ? all my farmers are 10 and are farming since 2 weeks and i am not even close
Is not fake, I think that the rewards are splitted across. For example here you got 7 power runes & 10 divine orbs instead. "50 million" shipments are the best, you just sent 1 shipment and already called it fake!? Don't do it than; it will be your loss.

I did a 50 million crop dust shipment to Rivenfell yesterday. Only got 8 divine orbs. No power runes. 4 sacred orbs. 0 mirror shards.
Sent 30mill crop 20mill dust and got 6 mirror shards. Its rng, but you likely will get at least 2 shards

If it's a 1:1 dust ratio, then count your value pre-dust then add that same amount of dust. Copy paste :D

I'm VERY disappointed I got zero shards, 10 raw divines, 4 power runes. It is possible sailor rank affects rewards, I don't know. I used around 5 million dust only, the rest crops, and some verisium just bc I felt like it. I DID get 6 sacred orbs, so it's quite possible I just had bad BAD rng and none of them converted to shards. I don't know, but it was highly disappointing. 1 exalt, too.
Just did it this way 40mil crops 10mil dust and got 1 shard 2 power runes and 5div
just sent 50 mil shipment today. got 0 divines, 0 mirror shards. just 50 chaos orbs, 200 sun runes and a bunch of crap currency.
I get 4 mirror shard sending 35mil food and 15mil dust 😂
another player sent 50%crops 50%dust and got 7 mirror shards. as for me ive already sent two 50m shipment with 35m crop and 15mdust on both occasions, got 2shards 9divs 1power rune on first and 1shard 11div 3power for 2nd shipment.
guys, something terrible happened to me :D I saved around 7 days to get my 50 mil shipment ready and i accidentally entered the wrong number and wanted to correct my mistake. I closed the entering screen and opened it again and didnt see that the harbour was still selected and I accidentally sent the shipment away. and then I wanted to correct my value and abandoned the shipment, but abandoning removes ALL ressources :( what a shit bahaviour, why is that? :( now I need to wait again a full week :(

just did this 40m crop and 10m dust to Riben. even had favoured resources wheat and blue zanthimum. still got 1 shard :/ 2nd shipment with 1 shard
Just use math as in calculator... Take the number with 0 dust and then subtract it from 50m to get accurate valur 😂 just saying. 😅

I struggled killing the pirate many times. I died maybe 3 or 4 times because of a lag spike when he spawns the pillars. To lose to this fight is a massive setback. Three weeks ago I lost 5 lv 10 units from mapping and I still haven't been able to buy them back after a dc. I spent about 7 million gold rerolling and got three and no lv 10 farmers yet. I play alot but I do legions so its 15 mins a map. I dunno how you are supposed to be able to buy these units I keep getting lv 10 miners.
run T17 map strategies! they give a lot of gold. Now it also depends on the build that you play ( since you said that you died to that pirate )
you have 3 atlas trees. So getting gold isn't too huge of an issue if you can spend 15 minutes doing a diff strat such as a any quant strat and you will get prob around 250k gold in that time or more.
as for dying to the pirate this late in the league, Im not sure if your build just isn't progressed much, but you could likely have much more survivability for a single fight with a few simple switches like using a defiance of destiny amulet or just stand at the front by the entrance where the pillars can't hit you and the waves will only go that direction like 1% of the time and can be avoided easily.
during interphase just go north (where the pirate area begins after the corridor), the waves usually don't reach there, read usually, i didn't say never XD so the interphase becomes just a waiting room

20k gold isn't enough. U need more than that like x200 that gold to all 10lvl
You run t17s for a couple of ways. In my experience 350k gold of expensive rerolls = 1x10lvl farmer. So around 4 t17 maps to get 1 farmer
@rfgTgamer you can can t1-4 8mod corrupted maps with atlas tree FULL into rogue exiles (get all nodes) and use the following scarabs: titanic scarab, titanic scarab of legends, gigantification scarab x2, anarchy scarab and for atlas power, choose also anarchy. this way you will get ~30k gold PER MAP! even on t1 :) you are welcome

no such thing as mystics. You may have meant sacred orbs, because those are the same rarity as shards. also I don't believe "mythic orbs" come on shipments. in fact mystics don't even exist as far as I know.
In 7 days i made 2 mirror shards and 9 divines and 10 runes for o. 7d each with 8 and 6.5mln shipmenr (1.5 mln dust and rest croops). So i guess 50mln its not that necessary.

I sent 3 50mil shipments. 1 for this close tattoo port (forgot its name) - 3 mirror shards. 2 to Riben Fell - 1 shard and 0 shards. All of this, including what are you talking in the video, is pure rng, you are making assumptions on a very low amount of data. Other people on reddit did the same thing (collecting data from hundreds of shipments) and their conclusions were quite the opposite to yours, which means the truth is somewhere in between and there is a lot of rng here.
To maximize your Mirror Shards chance you should avoid sending 5 million, 10 million shipments!! just stick to ONE BIG SHIPMENT every week and you will get the most out of this league mechanic. Also avoid sending too much DUST. From what I've seen so far, guys that sent more than 15 million - 30 million dust got way less expensive stuff than the ones that sent CROPS WORTH of 40 million & 10 million dust. 10 million DUST is the sweet spot from what I've seen so far.
40 + 10 mill dust is kinda bs if you ask me, I've sent 2 shipments like that and only got 1 mirror shard in each, the best loot I got was with 25 mil crops 25 mil dust... one gave me 6 shards, one gave me only 4 but still better than 1 shard and double the crops......
My 40m crop 10m dust shipments gave me 1 and 2 shards, 25m crop/dust shioment gave 4 and 5 shards. As many has noted in the comments section, 40m/10m cannot be proven to be better than 25m/25m

no, it has the same chance. we did further testing and it appears that the dust is just additive value. What this means is that sending 50 million crops, 40 million crops and 10 million dust OR 30 million crops and 20 million dust with give the same chances to get a mirror shard ( 0-6 ) // Idea is that you want to send 50 million shipments ONLY since they give you the HIGHEST chance to find POWER RUNES & MIRROR SHARDS. Also do not send too much dust; if you send more than 25 million dust you will get horrible results

is realy only riben fell who is rewarding with mirror shards ? i've got Te Onui (tatoo one) who got: Wheat 89 000 (+135%) and Pumpkin 110 000(+75%). So even with this bonus its not worth it ?
best results ALWAYS on "Riben Fell"; hands down the best port to pick for the "50 million" shipment strategy here! Not to mention that is the closest port -> you are less likely to have problems.

Sent 2x50 mil ships so far. Both 25kk/25kk. 1st to tattoo town, got 6 shards(quota was good af). 2nd to rune town, got 2 shards and 3 power runes(quota was kinda mid)
As far as I know the dust/crops ratio affects only the amount of runes you get and the amount of mirror shards is pure random(maybe depends on quota as well)

You could crash and lose 50m shipment. Just pay the guy his 50k gold if your giga shipment gets seized. Unless you are into adrenaline pumping actiivites of course,
Port doesn't matter for currency rewards. Also you can some people will get no mirror shards. I got 1 and then 0 so far. Other people report 0 ms as well. Also we don't know optimal ratio between dust and food yet.
