Great video, straightforward and professional.. thank you!
Thanks to your video, i didn't have to wait on my mechanic who kept giving me the runaround about repairing it. Finished it in just over an hour.
I followed your instructions and successfully got the job done! Thanks!
Thank you very much. With your help I was able to fix and replace my window motor.
Great instructional, was able to get mine installed in 30 minutes and I made some mistakes, of about 20 minutes or so, cleaning the glass took me longer from the TAPE I put on it to keep it up while the motor and regulator were damaged. thanks man
Thanks Alex glad this helped!
do you have anything for H2 rotor and brake replacement? I think its pretty straight forward, but maybe an idea..
It should follow the same install as any 03-06 GM 2500 truck. My H2 is getting close to needing new pads so if I have time I'll try to do a video but you are right it's pretty straight forward.
Great video! Some advice for everyone, don't buy a cheap regulator! Today I will be doing this job for the 3rd time in 2 years because I used cheap parts! I suggest GM, AC Delco, Dorman or Cardone, in that order.
I’m very thankful for this video. Thanks for the help brother! Please keep posting videos 👍🏻
Thanks for the great instructions... I appreciate that.
Thanks for the video man.
Fantastic presentation on change of motor/regulator. However a lot of review on YT say if glass is not going up or down or is partly only, at times, its usually the switch module that is bad. Can you elaborate on that please.
It's almost always the window regulator. However if you think it's the switch the easiest way to check that is to swap the switch over from the other rear door and try it. if it works then you've now identified the switch in question as the failure point. Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot for the rapid reply. Yes you are right and I think before going into much larger, costlier trouble change, its a great idea to eliminate the problem of switch. That is exactly what I did and fortunately I have a Yukon Denali XL and a Hummer H2 that both have the same exact switch under the driver door (Though with two different bezel and skin). So I first took my H2's switch out and tested my stuck Denali's front driver side glass and didn't see any glass movement. So one problem solved. I was prepare to buy a switch from local shop (So that to return if it is not the case) and test it but knowing both Hummer and Yukon having the same switch, solved me a trip to shop. Now that I am into replacing the bigger part, your clip is even more helpful and additionally I did one more test. That is I bough a motor from local shop (Much cheaper than the whole package price) and once the panel was out, after detaching motor's wire, I connected the new motor and switch to the existing wires and simply tested the condition. Note that new motor works and not the old one, gave me the additional signal the regulator is OK and problem is only motor so your explanation of regulator was very very useful here to make me to decide how to save a few more bucks. Thanks a million for your great presentation here.
Good video. I need to do mine now
what if your glass is down? I tried moving it up but it won't budge. I can't get to those two at bottom of glass. Waiting on part so I'm not pulling the motor/regulator yet.
Our window will only go up half way and then it’s super loose where you can push it the rest of the way up but it won’t stay. Do I need both parts or just the motor?
It sounds like your regulator is bound up. Take the door panel off then get a flash light and look at the ends of the regulator. If you see those blue plastic end pieces popped out like I show in the video then your regulator is broken and you need a new one. Hope this helps.
Why not include the actual installation process of the new motor/regulator?
