The wood problem can be solved in two ways. Planting your own trees with the saplings you get or only chopping the dead trees so that the mature ones can spread their seeds
If im not mistaken the roof problems you encountered are due to low stability foundations, to have a 3 story building you need solid materials at the bottom like stone blocks because i remember having that issue but im not a 100% certain.
there is a Beta, roof option in the game that allows you to place roofs in a more extravagant way. Took me a while to figure that out but i tend to keep even my larger structures modest, so that the roof does not become a massive pain in the ass.

found this game when it was released on steam. its a great little sandbox. most of the time i would mod rimworld to be more medieval, this game hit all the right spots for me
As a lifetime chef and kitchen worker I’ve mastered the art of making my lunch and working at the same time then eating that lunch in 2 minutes or less lol.
You can tell the man is new to the game😂 by what hes doing giving the settlers a reasonable time and living space i myself as a guy who minmaxes everythjng give the bare minimum at the start and then just get max gear in a couple of years
Funny ebough Backgammon was a huge deal in most of medieval europe to the point where it was outlawed on Sunday's in most places and completely outlawed a few times because of vice laws and people just not doing shit because they wanted to play backgammon This is a bit of an over sinplification it should be said, but if you can find videos on the subject its actually kind of funny. I think England outlawed dice for a while but i think that might be bullshit
Wild animals have a percentage chance to attack when wounded by a settler. It "rolls" everytime they are attacked. And play ONI if you want to see foolish life-choices.
For food preservation, your supposed to dig a basement for your food storage room. Temp goes down with elevation so you can store things forever

If you train a goat when they are young they will train faster idk if you did that or not but it helps a lot.
