Sorry folks, just couldn’t get with this - but did love the running Palestinian commentary. The Met Gala just reminded me of the Hunger Games - the shallowness, vanity and elaborate indulgence of the Capitol…as civilians are being murked in Rafah. Gigi has been a huge supporter of the Free Palestine movement, has death threats etc…so am inclined to give her some grace here…

I think there are strict rules about what the attendees are allowed to wear at the MET gala. Due to those rules they wouldn’t be able to wear anything Palestine related. Although it’s a shame someone didn’t find a way to at least incorporate watermelons into their costume. The designers of the outfits give very precise instructions on how the costumes must be presented as well. I only know this as a UA-cam channel called Artlust did some amazing analysis of the MET gala this year.

That's interesting because in many cases they don't seem to follow the theme so I guess the Met doesn't care about that more than they are about guests making any kind of statement. But then I remember American politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wore a dress with a political messsage on the back. Maybe the Met strengthened their rules after that. 🤷‍♀️

I understand the world goes on but wouldn’t it be nice if the people in charge of the met gala said no this in poor taste we won’t do it this year , but I guess the Hollywood elites are too scared to upset Hollywood bosses . But this is the world we live in unfortunately 💔

I thought the press and their comments about kpop band stray kids was horrendous. Telling them to jump. Kpop stars are the most generous of artists in the music industry plus most of these paparazzi dont have to mandatory serve their country for 18 months, kpop stars do if their nationality is korean. Kpop fans are getting frustrated that in western media their stars get ignored. Even kpop jennie from blackpink was treated the same.
