I work in IT. I give the same ticket speech multiple times a day. The main problem is that I frequently have to engage other IT departments to troubleshoot and fix issues and they couldn't give a rat's ass about the issue I'm bringing to them unless I have a ticket to prove there is a problem. Or you really are wasting my time with something you should have a called in two weeks ago using the speed dial on your phone and instead you sulked until you saw me and are ripping into me for not being in front of you to help when the issue came up and that somehow I'm responsible for your two weeks of suffering. In that case I'm intentionally wasting your time preaching about tickets so you don't want to wait to talk to me anymore.
