i am a keyboardist.. 2 weeks ago a performed in cali as opening act for the Whispers.. beautiful Glodine was backstage at our show.. i wanted to say something to her, tell her about my teenage crush, my knees were shaking!!.. she was right there all day!..such a beautiful black sister!!!
Hermosa canción, ¡¡¡que recuerdos!!! me transporto a mi adolescencia, yo estaba enfermo, en cama y mi música no dejaba de acompañarme, esta pieza en especial la tengo marcada escuchándola entre sueños....
The lyrics and the smooth sexy musical arrangements thanks to Barry White & the Love Unlimited Orchestra. I can remember when I first heard this in 1970 or 1971?? Just fell in love with Glodine's voice and the sound of the melodic harmonies. Beautiful!!!
What a nice rhythm, so groovy, so smooth, so catchy! This song is one of the most amazing ones I've ever heard. Listening and singing it now, June 25, 2016.
Right along with women like The Three Degrees, The Emotions....Love Unlimited was undoubtedly and unquestionably...one of the best female singing groups to EVER grace a stage! Who sings like this anymore?
Classic music ...this was the jam that had you "Grinding". One of the first groups to use a Phone Prop on stage...beatifully done (bottom left screen close up). Good production from the Soul Train camara crew. Peace !!!
Absolutely adore this, thank you. The album from which it's from has a great feel even though the narrative between the songs is a bit samey. For me, their version of If This World Was Mine tops the Marvin & Tammi one.
Walking In The Rain is a titillating tune that penetrates the hearth with warmth. Barry White is not only a legend but a musician who epitomized uniqueness with cultivating talent.
this song was back in the day when we use to go to the oldie concerts in san jose at the fairgrounds. FYI In 1975 my sister won the 63 chevy baby blue suicide doors lifted all around! white leather interior SWEET ASS RIDE! it belonged to Jr. Odessey who sings I DO LOVE YOU and i bought her that $6.00 ticket wow Good Memories my sister Debbie Gutierrez RIP
the 70s were the best times wow what memories all the chicks all the soul wish i was 17 again on the fairground in southsea nearly 60 now but what a life
Very cool! To see Glodean James, Linda James and Diane Taylor - Love Unlimited sing their very first hit single is DA BOMB! Of course props to DA MAN - Barry White!
thanks for this, the other copy got pulled for "terms of use violation" whatever. the internet should be preserving these classics otherwise they rot on film.
That's Barry White talking in the song. He married Glodine was it.....from the group. 1971 or 1972 I was going to a party and this played and it was a very romantic night. I met a guy I really liked.......
well, i guess good music is gone forever., so thankfull to have come up in the 60, 70, and 80's when it all occured. Now a days the noise these young people are making is like a death sentence about to occur , its all disrepectful and deeply disturbing, and the scary part of it is they seem to enjoy it
@david2407, I tell my youngest that all the time. My older ones listened to this type of music and don't mind listening to it along with "their' music, but my youngest absolutely won't have anything to do with this good stuff. She insists upon listening to crap.
SOULTRAIN pls come back. There was so much more romance in those days and in their music. Maybe that is the reason divorce rate was a little lower then 2day. And if i C so many comments about the music from back in the day is considered as the real deal then how come 2days music still does not have alot of romance in it!!!
@ProudKansan08 Sadly the days of classy music seems to have passed. Some people have a natural inclination for classy music and regardless of their age they can decide for themselves what good music is. Don't blame your daughter for being indoctrinated by the music of her generation, because music these days is heavy on marketing but light on quality, and everyone is obssessd with being cool, s they think they have to be, and they afraid to think outside the box

Damn, I'd give almost anything to have this kind of music return to our airwaves. It would HEAL our culture.
Barry White, Love Unlimited, and the Barry White Orchestra..he had a great thing going. Songs sound just as good today!
Love Unlimited - One of the most underrated “girl groups’ from the 70’s.
Wow at the beginning of the song when all their voices starting how amazing was that!! Real singing here!
I heard this song on the radio tonight, It brouht back so many good memories. My sister and I sang this song in the talent show.
