would you know where I can find a list of compatible senny heads for the XSW2? Cant seem to find that info anywhere and ideally I'd love to put a 965 on it
Hi I just bought xs 2...when I turn off microphone in middle of talking ...it has loud pop sound from speakers ..high pitch...is this normal and if not then what
Do you have any experience with the xsw-1 system? It has the built in antenna and hasn’t worked well for me at all when djing weddings etc. can’t even walk out from behind the booth without signal bursts. I’m wondering if it’s the antennas.
Sounds like you need to change to a clear frequency. Here is a link to Sennheiser's freqfinder tool sennheiser.us/freqfinder/index2.html If that dosen't work, then the unit may be defective.
@@jahsony2ksounds757 I’ve had better luck now by performing an auto scan for the best frequency and tweaking the squelch on the back of the receiver. Sennheiser also make “half-wave” antenna for their ew-d series I use for ceremonies. They work great. I’m not sure if you can use them for the xsw2. I know you cannot use them for the xsw1 system as their antenna are internal.
I was really looking for a review about these two .I wanna buy the xs2 but the 865, and I really don't now the difference between them. Could someone help me?
My guess is the 865 are a better microphone. I just use them to mc the weddings I dj and use the 835 microphone. According to the research I’ve done, if you just use them for speaking and not signing you’d probably be fine with the 825 microphone. Hope that helps.
It's still physically perfect! The system just finished a football season spent on the sidelines being used by cheerleaders. It was set on the ground, accidentally kicked/dropped, and yelled into on top of normal usage. No problems at all. I have noticed that the UHF range is beginning to become harder to find a clear frequency over the years, so just make sure to do some research about which frequency band is ideal for use in your area. This is not the system's fault, and more due to encroachment of other transmitting devices into the UHF range.
Hello, Is it possible to use two microphones with one receiver at the same time(two microphones sync in one receiver and use both at the same time)? Regards
You would need 2 mics and 2 receivers, both on separate frequencies. The receivers are only designed to demodulate the signal from one active mic transmitter at a time. Hope this helps!
No AF/RF signal at all would indicate the transmitter and receiver are not actually synced. Try syncing again. You could also try adjusting the squelch knob on the back of the receiver to a more sensitive setting.
@@BrianDiener Looking at the date that this video was posted, I remember this mic being listed for $250 during that time, because I bought one. But other than about a two week period, this mic/system has always been $300. However, the current XSW-1 with the 825 microphone usually runs at $250. Slightly different receiver, but it is in the same compatible family.
@@BrianDiener Hey brother, thank you for the great video, it's very well down :) Would you please be able to let me know the name of the song playing at the end, I really love it
No. As a general rule, each wireless mic should always have its own receiver and specific frequency. Meaning, if you need 3 mics, you will need 3 receivers.
Thanks! I'm actually no longer using this unit. It became increasingly difficult to find clear frequencies to use with this system in my area. Even after a manual channel scan, I was still getting occasional bursts of static leaking through into the mix. I'm using the Shure QLXD series now, which has been flawless. But I do miss having a dedicated mute switch like the XSW2 has.
Oh no..I just order senneheizer xs 1 e835..should I cancel it ? I order blx24 /sm 58 before but already 1 month not coming because they say delayed and I change it yesterday with senneheizer 1xs wireless e835..please anyone can help me? Which better ?thanks
Marvellously comprehensive comparisons! Thanks.
Very solid, very honest review
Fair enough. How do you make it work? It won't sync.
Can you connect multiple microphones on this unit (so the same channel)?

Haha it just feels so right for tech reviews!!

I'm having the same issues with mine, everytime someone uses the microphone I get nervous.

Can the receiver be rack mounted? Are there brackets that can be attached for a rack?
yes it can be according to Sennheiser

Nice and very cool product
Where was it for 250?
Amazon, but it appears the price has gone back up for some reason.

The XSW-2 is a noticeable improvement across the board. So between the two, XSW-2 would be my recommendation.

Did you say you got the XSW2 835 for 250.00 ?
Yes, in July of 2019 it was $249.95 before tax. The price has since almost doubled which is crazy.
