I recently learned how to do blind, and I have a really nice tip that will help.
Since you're starting out, then it may be really difficult to get the edges and and corners memorized correctly, even if you write it down. So what you can do is actually do the edges and the corners seperately. So basically you're doing a 2 look solve by first memorizing the edges, solving them, and then memorizing the corners and then solving them. This makes it a lot easier and is a great progression to a full bld solve. You can write the memo in the beginning, and as you practice, try to start memorizing without writing it down. This helped me, and it will probably help you too!!
Please like so that CE sees this.
    Edit - typo

@@PanMastera little late, but here’s a tip. If you’re memorizing standard (white top green front) then you can memorize what letter the white or yellow corner is on, then what letter it should go to. Create a letter pair out of those and execute them.

Kevin, I caught a tiny and common, but very important mistake when you write the sequence.
When you write down the sequence, you should never write down the buffer (B for edges and E for corners). Since you wrote at the begining of each sequence the buffer, you would get 1 extra letter on each. So you will think there is parity when there is no parity, and also the other way around.
Like for your edges the 1st try, you wrote "B"OPDISTQU. And you probably thought there was parity but ther actually wasn't.
Good luck on your Blindfolded journey :)
BTW: If you read this like the vid and sub :D

That's a good tip (I do it myself) but as for someone who isn't familiar with the lettering scheme yet (and also hasn't even properly "memorised" the cube yet), it would probably hinder his progress. I think he should first be able to perform execution perfectly every time before he starts making advances in his memo, but this is a good thing to do even if someone doesn't take 3bld seriously. :)

    I do bld (I use full 3 style )
and the way I learned it the first time was by watching j perm and learn the execution (without any letters lol) so after I had like %100 confidence on execution (that took 1 year because I was so lazy to put letters lol)I startes putting letters and stuff and wrote that on a paper like you and trying to solve it under the table and after I started to get a lot of successes I tried some full bld solves and they took so long but I had good results
So yeah I kept practicing till I got comfortable with the method and continued my journey like that.
Hope you dont be lazy like me lol

I started with 2x2 and once I got that down I moved on to 3x3. after about a week of 3 bld I started M2 and got my first successful blind solve without writing down the sequence about a week after learning M2. Now I can solve blind pretty consistently and it takes me about 7 min to memo and 2 min to solve.

I think that you should try to solve each piece as you see it. so don't memorise or write down letters, just get the method down first. after that, start trying to memorise only the edges and then execute them without looking, then do the same for the corners. once you have that, i recommend starting to do the whole cube blind. for this step you should probably watch jperm's vid on how to get faster at blind because he outlines some major strategies that really help. for example, memorise corners with images and then edges with audio and then solve edges then solve corners. he goes more in depth into this in the video. Good Luck!! blind is a really fun event when you get the hang out it :)

I am also practicing bld, for I have not solved my first bld cube yet. However, I discovered an faster and easier method for solving edges rather than the old pochman method called M2. Instead of set up moves and a T perm in the old pochman method, the M2 method uses set up moves and M2 + 2 special cases to solve edges. The best part? Both methods are very similar, so you only have to understand a few things that are different from the Old Pochman method. I recommend it!

Then for execution, you do Memo Corners > Memo Edges > Solve Edges > Solve Corners. I learned this from J Perm's 3BLD tips & tricks.

The mad lad did it! He's learning 3BLD! One tip I'd give you is to write down the Speffz letter scheme on a normal cube instead of a force cube. Because letter-color(piece) association is something you need to get used to. If you keep seeing the same letters on a same color, you'll soon be able to just look at the color and know what the letter is. Sorry you wasted your green force cube.

How I learned to do 3bld is that I would just try to do 2 pieces at a time, then 3, then 4 and do it a couple times per number of edges. Then I started learning how to do full edge only solves. Once I got consistent with doing edges I started practicing corners, again 1 piece, then 2, then 3, then 4, then full corner only solves. Then I learned how to deal with parity. Once I was confident with all of that separately I went on ahead and put them together. It took me about a month to 2 months to get my first success. But that’s only because I wasn’t very serious about it. The most important thing is perseverance. You will fail a LOT before you get a success. Sometimes you’re so close, like an edge flip or a corner twist. Or even just forgetting the last target. I hope this helps and I hope you come to enjoy the event like I have. Good luck!
P.s. I’m learning 3-style at the moment so hey, I guess we’re both on a journey to get better at blind.

If you want a tip what i did was start with doing just a 2x2 blindfolded and getting good at that (btw jperm has a 2x2 blindfolded tutorial)

Before when I learned blindfolded I messed up every single time and that's when I realized I was doing the wrong set up moves. You can only do a limited amount of setup moves. some setup moves change the way the corners will be... after solving the edges

I learned to solve a 2x2 blindfolded to understand the concepts and it left a much clearer path to a 3x3 blindfolded

I don't know how to solve a rubik's cube blindfolded yet, but I am working on it and one thing I did was practice only the edges until I got that, then I moved on and did only the corners.

Bro , I have a tip, first try the corners then the edges, beacause it’s easier, when you get the hang of it you can do them both

I dont know much but a mistake i made was i would reach the buffer and pick an unsolved piece, but at the end of the cycle i wouldnt memorize the piece i started the cycle on. Just dont ever memorize the buffer piece and end cycles on the same piece you started on.

I would say that its a good idea to first learn 2x2 blindfolded since its less to memorize and just corners to execute

Heres a tip-try doing just corners and just edges, doing it all right away is really tricky. Also, make sure not to include the buffer in your memo, I noticed you said B for edges and that is the buffer.
