Do you have any recommendations as to where I could pick up a SFT40 3000k emitter? I understand that they are harder to find atm but I recently picked up a WM2 and would like to do this emitter swap once I get my hands on one.
@@cheule Do you have any cheap hot plate recommendations? I already have all the soldering equipment but need to pick up a hot plate and thermal paste for the swap. I really only planned to do this one swap but will likely do one or two others just to practice before this one.
@@AmnesiaTanner I have 5700K and 5000K on hand. As far as a high cri SFT40 version, I wouldn’t hold my breath :) I also have a some XML2 4500K, which is also 5050 sized and 3v. They’re decent CRI, but are prone to tint shift. I’d go the 5000K SFT40 personally.
@@cheulei did want to ask a question. after swapping these emitters do you find that the light heats up significantly more? how long can you run turbo before it steps down with the 3000k emitter?
I'm VERY excited for these... I've been itching to get my hands on a warm throwy light and SFT40 has been one of my favorites despite the high CCT. Add in this level of rosiness (I think the emitter you put in the WM3 beats my -Cheule- RRT01 sw45k) and the bonus CRI and I'm definitely getting my hands on these somehow.... Can't wait to see those outdoor beams! Hope all is well with that weather over there!
I have a spare 219b and was hoping to put it in my brass i3t which gets no use because of its tint. I've not swapped an emitter before but have some experience with things of the sort, is this a possible swap?
My levels of FOMO are over the roof. I feel I am the only flash flashaholic/reviewer that couldn't get a few sft40 3000K quick enough. And Kaidomain isn't restocking them yet :[
Do you have some more recommendations for high CRI emitters with good output? I would like to change it on my mini 2. I need good output, CRI doesn't have to be highest but better than stock, good tint and some that I can get in EU or from place with world wide delivery.
I would love to see your outside beam shots with the new SFT40 3000K in the Warrior mini 3.
Noted!

If I knew, I’d have more than 3 left! I keep checking kaidomain.com regularly. They’ve had a small quantity about 3 times.
@@cheule They are back in stock!

I'd love to send you my WM3 for this same swap. Is this a service you offer? And where can I inquire further?
I can definitely do it, the problem is finding the SFT40 3000k! I have plenty of 5000K on hand if that’s what you are looking for.
i’d actually prefer 5000k over 3000k but i’ll wait until there’s a high CRI version, if that ever happens haha.

Have you measured the lumens on the SFT40 3000K ?
Great! Off the cuff anytime. Keep them coming. The week is not complete without one of your vids.

Still rainy, s soon as it’s dry!

i3t s are very difficult to get the optic out of. The i5T line is very easy using an air compressor.

I’m sure they will, and I hear Simon of convoy will get some.
Nice swap, I didn't even know SFT40s has high CRI versions!
(Thought there were like SST40, cool white only)
Yes! The new SFT40 3000K is 95 CRI with an 85 r9!
@@cheule That's great, the tint looks pretty good as well, can't wait for the 3500K/ 4000K versions!

really enjoy a look at internals. no glass on a light is a hard stop of mine. would have gotten a mag. version if it had glass.
Welp. You beat me to it. Was planning on doing this same mod. 😂
Hi do you ever review powertac lights?
I have not, should I?
@@cheule yes! they seem solid, would like your opinions on it
They offer lifetime warranty which they claim is best in the industry
Beautiful!!! Mine got here yesterday!
outdoor beamshots??
On it once it stops raining.
the entire point of that wm3 is that more efficient led. good cri vs less efficiency isnt a win
Except that the 6500k is 1210lm in my lumen tube, and the 3000k is 1160lm. So basically just as efficient, and high CRI.
@@cheulethat sounds really good!
