You can never have a conversation with a person who represents the farming industry

Imagine the joy of the activist at something he had tried a zillion times finally worked. besides, you didn't fool us. the guy has a "V" tattooed behind his ear
I think that was the first time I have ever seen you so totally lost for words that you almost outright repeated yourself at the end.
Wow. No jumping from one argument to the next without acknowledging the debunking of their last argument. This guy is refreshing.
@@rondarkman. cool so you're kind of just a horrible person then
This was all staged, Ed has no good arguments for veganism
@@rondarkman. You are such a rebel. Going against those pesky compassion driven vegans with your uncontrolled impulsive sense addiction. You truly showed them the true beast you are.

That student is smart, honest, kind, and brave.
Doesnt sound that smart to me. He answers are pretty dumb. They are not arguments or debate points just general statements
@@adamkiley100 And you eat meat
he really isn't tho imo..no offence to him but he isn't very well spoken
@@adamkiley100 Initially I thought his arguments were as well but if you look at it he's just stating the obvious very directly with his first few points, things that almost everyone in society believes. It's just that once they're stated aloud they sound silly, especially to vegans. I think that actually shows honesty, he didn't try to make up a great point to defend his opinion in a defensive manner. He simply stated what he believed openly and that openness led to him actually realizing that things ultimately didn't add up and so he openly recognized it as well. I think he was just being really open.
@@bruhguy4215 English seems to be his second language and he did well. He recognized good points and questions from Ed and did not try to make a bunch of stupid excuses. In many ways, he's smarter than most meat-eaters I talk to.
Wow, it was so unexpected. He listened, thought, said what he was thinking and came to conclusion based on that. It's so rare seeing people being able to reflect and open for change, based on rational thinking. That guy litteraly showed how a real mature person deals with new information!
Love the last sentence, so true!!
Ive been contemplating this for a while now but im seriously considering going vegan in 2023. I know im late to the party

The ability of this guy to just have a conversation, give his best answer based on his current level of awareness, and thoughtfully consider the responses without getting defensive almost seems unreal. I understand how hard it is to be faced with what feels like such an insurmountable change and the fact that he was able to consider this so quickly and easily is admirable. I wish more conversations ended like ths.
Oh my goodness, I literally just broke into tears, I did not expect this and I'm so glad you shared this absolute gem of a person with us, Ed! What a great guy, so honest and willing to reflect!
Same thing here! I just couldn’t help it :')

I personally don’t need a argument for not being vegan.because I don’t need to justify my dietary preferences to anyone.
And I know next your gonna said oh Dahmer tho.
But ps human suffering is not equivalent to animal suffering
Huge respect to the guy. As soon as he was asked if what we do to animals is necessary, he knew he had no argument and followed Ed to the logical conclusion. No ego at all.
What a guy!
To be able to change your stance when faced with the evidence/logic, is a really admirable thing!
May we always use discernment, and live with open minds and hearts. 🙏 ❤ x
It was staged, Ed Winter's only convinces the ignorant.
What a nice open-minded person!
I would destroy ed
Wow! This dude started by answering compleetly honest. Though about what Ed said, processed it and agreed. This dude really dont let his ego get in the way. Great job, Ed!
When Ed said “I don’t know wether to laugh or cry” I cried for him. Thank you Ed so much for what you do.
Ed gets it, none of these conversations are combative, he shows empathy and helps people lower their guard to really allow them to understand their clear cognitive dissonance people have, it’s such great work. It actually convinced me to go vegan from vegetarian
The more helpless the victim, the more horrific the crime.
plants are quite helpless, though.
P.S. haven't we been through this once before?

It’s so refreshing listening to someone who actually answers the question that was asked. It’s great that he changed his mind, but I’m just happy to hear someone who engages in good faith.
Now that is an intellectually honest person. Brilliant Ed!
Honestly this guy was probably the most rational debater Ed has ever encountered. ^^
Props to him as most people usually are way to stubborn to accept points being brought up against their actions as they feel attacked or insulted or some other entitled feelings that prevent them from not taking an argument personal

Dude was talking to Ed like he wanted to understand what veganism is while expressing his current viewpoints. Hope this man becomes vegan!
You could tell from the way the guy answered questions that he had a very logical set of wheels upstairs. Once again, Ed changing minds one respectful conversation at a time.
Not shielding all his arguments with ego. This guy cares about the truth.
I love that he just admits that he’s so used to viewing some animals as food but acknowledges that that makes no sense and is horribly flawed. Good on him. So many people will deny deny deny. Also, as always, amazing work by Ed. You’ve been a huge help to me and those around me that I’ve shown you to, and your book. Thank you💫
I got so emotional by the end. I’m just so happy to know there’s people like Terrace, who can listen and accept they’ve been acting by tradition on something that is wrong and they can change their habits on camera.
Also loved, as per usual, the way Ed managed the conversation, but it truly amused me his face at the end, he couldn’t believe it!
hey man i went vegan a few weeks ago in no small part thanks to your videos keep it up
Wow. This guy took the leap a lot faster than I did. Took years of debate with myself and ignoring my reasoning before I went vegan, it only took him 10 minutes! I wish all the best for him. It may seem scary at first, but I promise once you get the hang of it you’ll realize you made the best decision you’ve ever made!
Amazing. For this guy it did not seem to have anything to do with emotion. It seemed purely cognitive, deductive and logical. And what followed was what you would expect but usually never get. He actually said he would be vegan. I never thought I would see it tbh. It's mind boggling really, the different ways different people perceive the world. I am still convinced that the best way to convince the masses is by showing them the horrors up close and play the emotion card. But that does not seem to be always the case.
Can totally confirm! I went vegan bc of logic. And then I tried to convince my best friend to go vegan with logical arguments for two years, as I thought it was the most effective way (because it had this effect on me). But one day I sent her a video of a pig being tortured ; she was horrified and reduced her meat consumption instantly. I was so surprised (and glad) ! But now, an other friend told me that what he liked about my veganism is that I only shared with him facts and logical arguments. And that is the reason why he's currently trying to go vegan. I think it's very important to understand people in the first place.
Some people are more logical and some emotional, or like me a bit of both. It is the same with socialism, some might say: "it is only logic that we should treat everyone with respect", and some might say: "can't you see how hurt this person is, we should all care for each other", and then there are those who think they are better than each other and couldn't care less about other humen and think it is rational that because they are more educated and all they are better and more deserving than all those with too much emotions and only destroys for themselves...
This is a truly wholesome conversation.
He shares is point of view, recognizes its flaws and incoherences and in the end is actually humble enough to give in and receive recommendations about veganism. Well done, Ed. We are all grateful for your activism.
Let's go Terrance!
Woah, this guy actually stopped to think about it
I think 3 years back I was in the same position as this guy, I hadn't even considered these basic questions like they didn't even occur to me until they were presented to me. I think that is how social norms shape your mentality.
this has become my comfort video whenever I'm feeling hopeless regarding animal rights. I cry of happiness every time I get to the end of it and it reminds me to keep going, even when it feels like I'm not making a difference. thank you so much, Ed ❤
If only they were all that easy.
He was not easy, he is just INTELLIGENT
@@heavyhead2k139 Overly compassionate ?? What does that mean? We should not feel a thing when we see a mass murder of innocents ? Compassion is in us for a reason. It's some cultures that still are trying to make us fight or forget it.
Wow, he really thought through his answers, he wasn't just blindly defending his thinking. Well done Ed, I shared your words, wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry, so did both!!
@ingridgeertsema4302 Want me to corner you fairly quickly?
He has the aura of a monk: Actually contemplative every time a question is asked, there isn't any ego / self-importance / argumentation in his responses, he actually tries to consider the PoV of others & animals. This is the type of person who'll go far in life, because he has 'intellectual humility', wants to understand, and as able to unlearn & relearn information unlike many who are stubborn about new / objective information. Good lad.
So happy to see this 👏😊

Someone willing to change when they identify their inconsistencies and lack of efforts is someone that abides with the concept of healthy living.

This is so beautiful. Happy tears. Thank you Ed for bringing your style of hope and change in the right direction for the world.
Great stuff! Many convos like this are taking place, it feels like theres a lot more open mindedness. Get out there peeps have those convos 🌱
The bottom line though is me making a sacrifice and giving up animals when non are saved is pointless, you can have as many conversations as you like the fact is my taste is far more important than any farm animal ,and while it's a honour to eat such glorious products ,the animals should feel greatly honoured they are serving my taste needs
@@rondarkman. taste pleasure like any other of the senses. That’s like someone saying they like the sound of a dog being kicked. Sound pleasure justifying abuse. You’ve post over 1k comments on Eds channel which is nice to see because its an algorithm boost which helps the victims see a broader audience.
You think suffering is okay for a meal and act like anyone wants to live and die because of it. Pleasure is never a justification for harming others.
I guess it probably doesn’t matter to you that humans suffer as well as a result.

I shot 3 kangaroos the other day and cut them up and took them to a small aboriginal community near me, super healthy lean Roo meat feed a lot of kids and elders made them happy also enough for me and my dogs , and I helped the environment, the animals eco system all with 5 bullets , a knife and a few spare hrs. More productivity than a vegan commenting on yoytube
@@rondarkman. going on a vegan channel commenting over 1k times trying to get validation is pretty sad man. You aren’t helping anyone just trying to find excuses to kill. I’ve worked in slaughterhouses so trying to trigger me or any of us doesn’t work, we’ve heard all the lame excuses already. Bla bla bla
I've tried 3 times. The first time I got really sick & lost too much weight. Second, I started to get medical issues like almost passing out, lost weight again, lost energy, depression vision problems & more. The third time, which is now, I think I've finally got it down! Really make sure you're getting the right nutrients, what works for your body. I'm so happy this time worked!
I think an issue a lot of people have when switching diets (not just to plant based) is not tracking calories or macro or micro nutrients for a while to make sure you’re getting everything one needs.
Had a friend who went through similar symptoms his first two weeks, fatigue, low energy, weight loss. I helped him track what he had been eating, and we found out he had suddenly started eating like 70% of his normal calories per day. It’s no wonder a lot of people suffer from such symptoms in those circumstances, I think it can be easy to feel bad on a diet change if it isn’t well planned out.
This guy is intelligent , open minded , and an example of not being stuck in his way , recognizing that the way to be most effective in life is be willing to change your ways - improves your life and the life of others..Also, the fact that he realized that Ed is a genius communicator that radiates ton of massive kindness the way he is , perfect person to learn from and change . I really did not expect that. It sounded at first like he was just uninterested but I think he was just really thinking about it all instead of being argumentive.
Great video, Ed!
I was so excited when you liked one of my reviews on ABillion XD
It blows my mind that some people have never had an original thought and only believe in what everyone else does or has told them. It's scary
It's 💯% true.
We are all like that. You just don't realize in which topics you behave like this.
It's easier to see what's different in other people than to see it within ourselves. How about the beliefs and lifestyle taught while growing up? The food parents/guardians fed us as kids? That is also blindly following what was taught.
Having compassion and understanding for those who are unaware they are causing harm when eating animals is so key to helping people stop eating meat. That's how I stopped and became vegan.
It doesn´t blow my mind at all. For the majority of my life I consumed animal products. From young age it is taught to us, that animals are made so we could exploit them. Only if you question what you do regularly you can change your behaviour. And this is not easy. I´m 100 % certain that you still do things today, that you or your children will question in the future. [non native speaker, please point out mistakes]
Like all vegans who joined because of seeing some video and didn’t go vegan because it was an original idea
